BEWARE LEST YOU HAVE BUYERS REMORSE! Not happy with their customer service. I took my phone for a screen replacement in Dec. The screen started separating about 2 months ago. Then the numbers on the right side wouldn't respond to the touch. I took my phone back to see if they would honor the job they did. I was told that there is only a month warranty. WOW, it's only been 5 months since they replaced the screen and they would not honor the job they did. The screen was defective. There are lemons. They told me that my phone had been in water. I've never dropped it in water. I had taken the phone to Verizon the day before and they checked it and said there was no water damage. I also took it to another repair shop and they said there was no water damage as well. In addition I was told that 3 parts were missing from my phone. I had them write what parts were missing and went back to Chico iStore. I told them I wanted the parts that they took out. Jeff, Tyler's father, told me that 1 one of the parts wasn't necessary. REALLY. The other 2 parts he forgot to put back. He asked me to leave the premises when I was venting my unbelief and frustration. He also picked up his phone like he was going to call the police on me. Crazy. I told him I wasn't leaving until I received the missing parts. He was very rude. Once again he told me that there is only 1 month warranty. He acted as if 5 months later I should expect my phone to work well was outrageous. I asked to have Tyler, the owner's number. Jeff the dad said he didn't have it. Now who's lying. They would rather have an unhappy customer than to replace a defective screen. What are they doing with the extra parts? Selling them on ebay? I wish I had read the reviews in Dec. I would have stayed away from this business. Getting your phone back with missing parts seems to be a common occurrence with this company. They seem to use low quality screens. After Chico istore refused to honor a damaged screen, I took it to a reputable business and it came with a lifetime of the phone warranty. That's good business! This other business also said and showed me the inside of my phone, there was no water damage just like I said. It's hard to be water damaged when I've NEVER dropped in water. If no stars were an option, that's what they would have gotten. They don't even deserve 1 star. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, THEY DON'T HONOR THEIR PRODUCT! I went in to get my phone's battery replaced. They wanted to charge me extra $25 because they had a lot of business. They said they would be in at a certain time. I waited for 2 hours and they never called me back. I went to one down the street on Mangrove. They charged $10 less and got it done in 15 minutes for me. Even have a policy that if it keeps having charging problems they will replace it. I was not impressed with Istore. read more

Went in today to see about having my screen replaced. Great price! $120 for my iPhone 5c Apple wants to charge $269 I would like to revise my review after having dealt with this business now. I agreed to have tyler replace my screen. He said it would be one day and i could pick it up the next day. The next day i go into his office to get my phone but he's closed. I text his google voice number and only got "ive been sick" or some stupid reply. He forgot who i was three times. He did a half ass job fixing my phone. The screen still doesn't fit right and is loose. He was flaky as anyone ive ever met. I was unable to get ahold of him while he had my phone for over 2 weeks!! He called me at 11 at night and asked if i wanted him to fix it or just give the broken phone back. I asked him to fix it and he agreed to take $20 off the cost. He fixed it and i got to go pick it up from his office at almost midnight. He looked like he hadn't slept for days and I'm not surprised my phone wasn't fixed right. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! Ok so I've been waiting to write my review because of so many issues with my iPhone since the "repair". I shattered my screen about two months ago. I dealt with it for about a month but it continued to get worse so I took it into the iStore. Tyler the owner was the only person in there so I showed him my phone. He said no problem and about two hours.I came in and picked my phone up at 5 and it looked great. Went out to my car plugged in the aux cord and nothing. Walked back inside and told him, he gave me a dumbfounded look and said "are you sure it was working when you brought it in?" Yes it was working its always worked. He was closing and asked if i could bring it in the next morning. I agreed. Came in the next morn, more questions regarding if it was working when I brought it in. Like I am lying about the condition my phone was in. Very unprofessional. He opens up my phone and checks all the connections and finds he didn't plug a connector in all the way. Ok, I'm happy again. Well that night while using the phone the screen starts fading out and then shuts off completely, making the phone useless.Take in the phone a 3rd time. Another employee, Leo helps me this time and agrees to replace the screen. The phone is now ok for about a week but will randomly not respond to touch and I have to turn the phone off and then on again. But after so many trips to the store I say screw it I can deal with it. Almost a month goes by and I pull my phone from its hard case and realize that the screen is separating form the phone body. So I take a fourth trip to the iStore. The guy behind the counter tells me yeah they will replace the screen at no cost and it will be about two hours. I come back four hours later and Im handed my phone in a huge case that isnt mine. The employee tells me they cant replace the glass because its past the 30 day warranty so this huge case should keep the phone from falling apart more. Im so fed up I leave. The next day my phone screen black out again. This time I just called Asurion and replaced it under my policy. So $150, 4 trips and hours upon hours of wasted time and I still had to use my insurance to get another phone. The iStore is worhtless. read more

Terrible place. I dropped my iPhone in water. Took it in to this place. They said $80 if it is fixable, no charge if not, which was totally fine. They also said they would call me when they knew what was going to be possible with it. Never received a call. Called the next morning, a guy took a message, said he would call back, never called. I called again! They said phone was not fixable and they would just keep it. I didn't feel good about that so I went to pick it up. Waited over 30 min just to pick it up because there was only one employee working (I think the owner). He gave it back and then said to bring it back in a week and they would have a special ultrasonic cleaner that may be able to resurrect it. Ok, sounds good. Went back a week later and there was a sign on the door saying it was closed for a week....OK, weird. Then waited another week, which was yesterday, called to see if that cleaner was available and was told, very us professionally that they couldn't find it in the office and the owner wasn't there to ask....what?! They lost equipment in the office?? He took my number to call me when they found it... Never received a call back. Will not be going back, will try the place across the street. Also, they cracked my screen in the process if trying to fix it. read more

I broke my screen this afternoon and wanted to see about getting it fixed. I called the business number listed online a few different times with no answer. I tried filling out one of their online forms, but they don't make any sense. The space designated for your phone number is actually supposed to be an email address, and when I entered everything correctly, it wouldn't submit my entry. If I'm going to give someone my business, I expect to get a hold of them easily, and if they have a website, I expect it to be accessible and easy. I'm not sure what the negative reviewers are referring to. If that was actually their experience here I can assure you that mine was the complete opposite. The tech and the front desk were immediately attentive. They got right to work on my daughter's iphone and called me as soon as it was done the next day. It works great now. I tried to do the do-it-yourself screen replacement. I'm a handy guy and I was actually able to get it done but it took me a really long time and a lot of frustration. The iStore guys charged me $86 including the screen. After having done it myself, I consider that a huge bargain. Not only do they use better parts (the ones you buy on Amazon burn out right away) they get it done right and have the experience to know what they are doing. Don't cheap out and try doing it yourself. Save yourself the extra time and expense it will inevitably cost you and take it to the iStore first. read more

The screen on my iPhone 5s has been broken for months now. After missing an opportunity for a groupon at iStore, I finally bit the bullet and paid full price. I came in around lunch time on a weekday. The place was pretty busy but I was helped within a couple minutes. I handed over my phone, ran some errands, and came back to a brand new looking phone. What a difference a new screen makes! I hope I don't have to get another screen fixed but if I do, I know where to go. read more

I needed the screen replaced on my iPhone. This store advertised same day service. I was told my screen would be replaced and my phone available for pick up the next day. When I went to pick up my phone, the store was closed and several notes were taped on the door from other customers inquiring where their phones were! I waited, called, texted, left a note, and returned multiple times a day for weeks. After calling Chico PD to file a report, and contacting the Better Business Bureau, and contacting the owner of the building who leases to the iPhone store, did the owner of the iPhone store finally agree to meet me (and my screen had not been replaced!). Chico police department informed me they have received a dozen or more complaints regarding this business and owner. Side note: because I spent so much time at the store hoping to get my phone, I got quite familiar with other customers in the same predicament. All with horror stories of their own, claiming the owner stole parts from their phones and returned them in worse shape...and would "make them a deal" to correct a problem he created. SCAM! I can't help but notice for every negative review there is a 5 star review. I would assume Tyler (the owner) has recruited help to support his AWEFUL "business". read more

I dropped off an iPad on 7/7/15 with a estimated repair time of being complete on 7/8/15. After we made multiple phone calls with excuses for delays being given, I went down on 7/13/15 to find out the issue. The store manager/owner, Tyler, stated his techs had been sick for the past two business days and was sorry it was not ready. I showed him the estimated date on the tracking slip and asked about what the issues were the other days and when he looked at that he said he shouldn't have written that, but the iPad would be repaired and we could pick it up on 7/14/15 and he would take $26 off the quoted price. When I went by before they closed on 7/14/15 - two hours according to their website and one hour according to the posted sign (the hours don't match, neither do their prices it turns out), they were closed for the day. I went by again on 7/15/15 and they are still closed. Phone calls only reach a voicemail and messages have not been returned. The sign out front advertises same day repairs and their website advertises 2 hour turn around for iPads. I still have not gotten my iPad back and have lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Update: 7/16/15. After a total of four estimates on a completion time, I went down on 7/16/15 and was told that my iPad still had not been repaired, even though I was promised multiple times that it would be done by this time. I received the unrepaired iPad back and took it to a competitor that did the work in an hour and charged $30 less than the quoted price for the iStore. I would be cautious about the positive reviews here as they do not reflect my experience or the experiences of multiple people that came by upset on days that he was closed during normal business hours. After speaking with numerous people in the community, I discovered that my experience was far from unique. read more

Extremely unprofessional. For an alleged iPhone expert, he sold me the wrong screen for my phone! I asked for a screen for an iPhone 5c and he gave me a 5s screen. I didn't make the realization until I had gotten home. I had to actually show him which was the correct screen the next day. Thank goodness I didn't ask him to install it himself! If Tyler Farrar is unable to make even this slight distinction, in outdated devices, then why trust him with ANY of your devices, especially newer models. Go across the street to Chico iRepair where your business will be appreciated, and your device will be in safe hands. And beware of five star ratings, as these score do NOT reflect the service provided; discounts and freebies are given away by this business as incentive to lie about your visit! Had may cracked screen replaced, month and half later the monitor went out. Took it to an Apple Store. Apple checked it out, and said a piece that goes between the screen and monitor was missing, which has caused my monitor to go out. $299 to repair. No guarantees on any other damage. read more

if i could give them zero stars i would. brought my phone here because it had water damage, initially they said it was not fixable but would run it through a ultrasonic machine...they ran it a week later, that didn't work. took it to another place and when they opened the phone to check out the damage and called to to say that THERE WAS SEVERAL COMPONENTS MISSING. went back to speak to the manager and retrieve those missing parts and they OBVIOUSLY knew what i was talking about. it seems like they know what they are doing and act dumb when customers come back and complain. the manager came back with some bs excuse that those parts are hard to put back and if they are put back incorrectly they can damage the phone. Apparently he just didn't show up to work for the first appointment. I spoke to another customer in the parking who was also stood up that day. No call, didn't answer his phone. I made a second appointment days later after he fed me some B.S. excuse. Again, no show! This time he finally answered his phone and said he would send an "employ" over immediately. Don't ever bring your iPhone to the I store in Chico off of mangrove and e.9th st unless you never want your phone to work right at all. We brought my husbands brand new iPhone 8 in to get his screen fixed and the fixed it but then his speakers didn't work so we had to bring it back in and know his home button doesn't work. The owner Tyler told him last week on Sunday he would be here so we drove all the way to Chico to get it fixed and he was not even here. So last night Tyler from the istore call Wally and said he will be in on Saturday and set up a appointment to get my husbands phone fixed and to be here at 1:00 we are here and Tyler is mia. He will not answer his phone or texted message. This is bullshit and very bad business I wouldn't bring anything or recommend this place to anyone save your money and go somewhere else. There were light and dark spots and when videos were played it was such horrible quality it was impossible to make it out. Also with in a month the screen started flash and got worse until i couldn't use the phone anymore. I called and left a message and never got a return call and now the store is gone. Terrible experience! Avoid this place! I took my i-phone in to get the camera repaired and a new battery put in. After being promised my phone back in 2 hours, it took me 3 days to repossess it. I called and called to no avail (no one answered), so I finally drove down to the store and they were closed during normal business hours. I made several attempts over two days in person, but they were always closed and their answering machine was full so I could not even leave a message. Finally getting my phone back and paying the $60 bill, the camera worked, but the battery was worse than when I took my phone to them! There was also a bunch of interference that would be present when I was making phone calls. I took my phone to a different shop, and they found an old used battery inside my phone (when I was promised and paid for a new one), and missing support plates and screws in side the phone which they said was likely causing the interference. I would NEVER go back to the iStore, and highly encourage you to find a different store and look at YELP reviews before you go! I wish I had! read more

They weren't able to do it that day because I went in right before they closed since I didn't check the business hours (dumb!), but they gave me a price and told me how long it would usually take! Being a broke college student I decided to get a few more opinions on pricing before getting my phone fixed since I knew I needed to save some $$ in any way that I could. Went there for a charging port replacement on a Monday expected it later that day as said on billboard outside on this location. They closed before I could get it that day I called left voices mails text messages they did not get back to me until Friday and still had not fixed my phone. I took my iPhone here after seeing all of the rave reviews on his site. DO NOT TAKE YOUR IPHONE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. I got my iphone back with the case on, cool. Noticed that the case wasn't fitting properly. Took the case off to see that i could see the inside of my iPhone through the back cover which was not put back on properly. Also when I went to use my front camera, oh see what do you know, the front camera is not functioning whatsoever. My iphone was not in this condition when I first took it to him. I did not receive any type of refund whatsoever. When I was telling my coworker about what hell I had gone through to get it fixed he asked if i had taken it to the iStore w/ Tyler. His sister had the same experience with him and ended up suing him for breaking her phone too! If only I could have proven it as well and gotten reimbursed for all the trouble I had to go through. I ended up having to take it to the repair store in the mall and because he felt so bad about the nightmare I had to go through, he repaired my iphone for free. DO NOT GO HERE. Very unprofessional. I figured by paying $120 to get my iPhone 5 glass repaired, it would be returned to me in good condition. Not the case. Both back and front cameras no longer work. They were aware of it when I left, said that it happens often when the glass is removed and promised to fix it the next day. When I showed up in the morning, there was a note saying they were closed for the day. I went back 3 subsequent days and they were still closed. My emails were not returned for over a week. When I showed up at 2 a week and a half later, I was told they were closing for the day and they didn't have time to fix my camera. I went back a final time, a day later, and there was a note on the door saying they were closed for "business reasons." I sent an email because there was never an option to leave any messages from the beginning. My email has yet to be returned. My camera has yet to be fixed.
