This place was huge compared to the other stores in downtown. It was filled with locally-made items and food from the area and county. There were so many unique gifts and items here. We spent over an hour in the store browsing! My friend and I spent over 5 minutes talking to Patty in the food section listening to her talk about each vendor she personally worked with and knew. You could hear the passion in her voice when describing each item. The scones mix, she explained, took the chef over a year to perfect, the hot sauces, she knew every little detail. She was so knowledgeable and welcoming. In fact, all the employees we interacted with were so helpful. I've had Lundberg organic brown rice many times as they used to carry it at my Costco but I had no idea they made rice chips. One of the other employees said she went to high school with the Lundberg's kids! There were so many things I wanted to bring back home but couldn't. It will just warrant another trip up to Chico in the near future! Thank you to the staff here for making us feel so welcome on our first visit ever to Chico!

Beautiful tree lined street, gorgeous building. This is where they do all their printing and there are several beautiful printing presses. I love that vibe. The store carries all of their card designs and some other knick knacks and gift items. A good place to find a unique gift and a gorgeous card. When I asked for help, one employee rudly directed me to the photo department, where I was then told by another employee that it wasn't her responsibility. Both employees were very rude and made it seem like helping me was an inconvenience. After the employee finally handed me the pack of pens, I couldn't help but think about how ineffective the whole system felt. If the purpose of locking them up is to prevent theft, what's stopping someone from just walking off with the item once it's been handed to them? Even the classics and poetry sections were practically entirely white, the only non white poetry book I found was by Rupi Kaur (bleh) and it was stuffed into the back of the last shelf. It's 2025 people, beyond time to diversify our bookshelves The reason I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the prices are good. If you only care to read mainstream romance books it may be a good place to check out.
