Croissant sandwich with a side scoop of classic carol
    veronica p.

You get more than what you pay for! My first time here after it was recommended by my co workers. I had the croissant sandwich with the Buffalo and a side of classic carol. Food was more than I could eat but I left no crumbs. The crackers paired with your side scoop were a *chefs kiss*. Definitely a must have in this area.

The cashier was polite and helpful with our questions, and we had a couple because we'd never been. The shop itself was clean and well put together. The chicken salad was very - meh. My partner got the Sassy Scotty and you could really only taste the cheddar cheese in it. I got the Fancy Nancy and the most flavorful thing in it was the grapes. It was a very bland meal, that could have been amped up with some simple seasoning. I will say the baked potato soup was good and their brand of crackers was very tasty as well.

This is plastic found in my chicken salad sandwich.

I typically love chicken salad chick, but I ordered a chicken salad croissant and found plastic inside my sandwich.

This a good restaurant if you are in the mood for chicken salad of all kinds. They offer many locations throughout the south east. Please refer to their website for more information. This was our first time eating there. It was a bit of a challenge on what to order. Our check girl helped everyone out since we all needed guidance on what to order. She also made the pimento cheese crackers for samples. I'm glad she made them so we had a little taste of what great food they have to offer. Everything is great to get. Their were several people ahead of us. We all got different things. They all got great feedback! They tea taste fresh brewed, especially the watermelon tea! Not too sweet but they offer sugar packets if you want it sweeter. The seating varies. They offer booths and well as tables with chairs and especially outdoor seating when the weather permits. We were not there long, but when we were there. We sat in the booth and was nice. Not a couch but nice. They offer an outdoor patio when the weather permits, of course dine-in, has drive-thru, grab and go, and of course take out. Got the Chicken Salad BLT- Your choice of any chicken salad with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and sliced tomato. With a side cup of potatoes soup. Fancy Nancy - Dress it up with Fuji apples, seedless grapes, & pecans. With side of broccoli salad. And I ordered Kickin' Kay Lynne - This flavor powerhouse is a combination of buffalo sauce, ranch, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, jalapeños, & Sriracha! With a side of Mac N Cheese. I usually get a sweet tea to drink but in this case; I definitely recommend you get the watermelon tea instead. In my opinion. Nice restaurant, casual atmosphere. They offer free WiFi but it is password protected. Please ask for the password. They offer military discount with ID. No mask required. If you want casual fast fresh food in a chicken salad format. This is your spot!

I rarely post, so when I do, my experience was either really good or relatively poor. I was very excited to try this place for the first time. I will say the actual chicken salad was tasty, but when it's served on a salad with lettuce like this, whether edible or not, it still left a bit to be desired so a little more attention to detail as it relates to this aspect would be appreciated by me as a consumer.

Excellent chicken salad in several different flavors. But rather overpriced. The cranberry one was our favorite.

My favorites are the dirty rice, and...well...all of them! Everything is so fresh and hot. You can tell this food is cooked with love. The negatives, everything else aside from the mashed potatoes was cold like it had come out the refrigerator even under the heat lamps and everything was flavorless. Not a single employee gave a care and the food's temperature had to have been a health violation with not being held at least warm. We arrived at around 6:15 and the place closes at 8. One employee decided she wanted to vacuum the dining room shortly after we sat and was hitting our feet as she was trying to get under our table. She didn't care and seemed to just wanna get it done. Hard to enjoy cold flavorless food when the loud vacuum is hitting you. Don't waste your money.

It was originally named Marina Cantina but is under new ownership. Parking is a bit sparse here, and you used to be able to park under the bridge but that was blocked off last time I went. You may have to park in the overflow gravel lot just west of the building, which also serves as parking for the excellent Blue Dog Bistro next door. We started with the Tres Amigos appetizer, which included a pile of fresh chips combined with salsa, cheese sauce, and black bean sauce. It was great and really meant for more than two people. They don't skimp on this one. I've been here several times and always get the Shrimp A Go Go poboy, which is pictured here. Although I feel like it could have used a few more shrimp for the price point, it was really good and comes with this creamy sort of salsa that pairs well with the fried shrimp. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich, and honestly it was bigger and looked better than my poboy. I am definitely trying that next time. I hope this place is doing well because it never seems very busy when we go. It's like something is missing on the inside to liven it up. Our tables were covered in epoxy that was cracked and we saw buckling on the wood floors, most likely from humidity. Service has always been pretty quick and I have never had any complaints. I know the City caused a lot of drama for the previous owners, which is unfortunate. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a place to hang out and have a few drinks and great food.

I found out that this particular restaurant is the old Gaston Point Elementary School Cafeteria by the Gulfport Memorial Hospital. No fault on them. I was a bit confused where to go. It was my first time. Oops I also found out the menu can vary depending upon the day you want to go. We just happen to on Friday. They are serving the fresh shrimp and local catfish. They are mainly open during the lunch time. Please refer to the menu and website for details. If not, just call. They do offer togo orders and they provide catering services I believe? Please reach out to them and ask. As we walked in. We smell the wonderful food cooking. We noticed a lot of people were waiting and not eating. I was curious and surprised. I thought they just ate and just hanging out here for their lunch break. It turns out the friendly staff mentioned that they were not in line but waiting for the fresh catfish and shrimp they just started cooking the second batch. Oh good, I was worried that I missed something or was cutting in line. We started out with the fresh fried chicken. Had to get the Mac & cheese. And rounded out the plate with broccoli with cheese. The fresh baked cornbread. The chicken was well seasoned and very tasty and crispy. The Mac was good. The broccoli was delicious. Well cooked. I am glad. Usually when you order it. Other places tend to under cook them. You can tell it was boiled not steamed. It was a bit watery. As soon as the second batch was done. All the sudden it got crowded and long line. Like everyone else knew. A bunch of people showed up and getting catfish to go. We instead got the shrimp with Mac and broccoli with a fresh baked roll. With a side of cocktail sauce to dip. I heard they do whole catfish instead of fillets also! Not many places offer this. They offer some great dessert options. But we so hungry and really just planned on eating just the main dish. If you have the room. Take the opportunity to enjoy their delicious desserts! We both washed it down with fresh brew sweet tea. They also offered few other drinks options and sodas (coke products). Refills are available. Of you want to add more to your meal. They offer condiments for them. Or want to add some more spice. Black pepper, hot sauce, ketchup, or pepper vinegar. Seating is mainly table seating. Lightly padded on the bottom with a hard metal back. If you want more space and padding. They do offer booth and table seating. The food is delicious! Make this part of your lunch routine. No Wi-Fi I can see. They do offer catering opportunities for thanksgiving. Please reach out to them and see.

It is so well done for a smaller dining room, from the tiling on the bar, the beautiful collection of cutting boards on the wall, the lovely artsy painted radish & the jars of house made pickled vegetables lining the front windows. Our server, Lisa was extremely welcoming, as she was quite joyously making table arrangements of lovely flowers when we arrived. We perused the menu & I chose the lavender haze mocktail for a drink & the crab beignets for an appetizer. Both were equally beautiful and delicious. My mocktail was well balanced and would have made a delicious cocktail had I been in the mood. For lunch I decided on the beet and burrata salad and my sweetie had the catfish sandwich. My beet & burrata salad really hit the spot after the rich yet delicate crab beignets. The catfish sandwich was extremely tasty with the perfectly balanced house made pickles and "Caesar" dressing as the sauce. Their fries were perfectly fried as well. I made a stop in the restroom and adored the radish wallpaper & pictures, and I commented that the bathroom smelled like fresh baked brioche -- which Lisa said it was the bakery next door, Dolce' (which is owned by the chef's wife). She talked up the king cakes so much I had to go get one before our lunch even arrived (since there were very few "extra" king cakes left I am so glad I did!) All in all it was everything I hoped for and I wanted to try SO many things on the menu. I can't wait to go back. A new Mississippi favorite for sure.

The Boudin egg rolls were the best thing I ate on my entire trip. Perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy, every bite was heaven. The jambalaya was the best jambalaya I had on my trip as well. It had a fantastic smokiness and was not wet at all. I also loved the crawfish étouffée. It was creamy and loaded. The red beans and rice had a bit of a sweet edge that was not quite my taste. Try for yourself. The bread pudding was the perfect sendoff. Bite-size beignets were nestled in the bread pudding. It was a sweet, creamy, perfectly Mississippi dessert.
