Slim Chickens is my go-to place for chicken tenders. I think their tenders and fries are superior to Cane's, and Zaxby's doesn't compare at all. One makes Slims stand out is their variety of sauces, sides, and desserts. We go at least twice a week with work buddies and I usually get fries but their fried okra is also really good. Service has always been quick when I have been, whether it is inside or at the drive-up window. The employees tend to speak up when you order, and inside they will bring you your food and often come by to check on things. If you go here, be sure to sign up for the app and start collecting points for your purchases. They can add up quickly. read more

Disclaimer: My experience was a Wednesday evening (almost 2 weeks after opening) about 5:30pm using drive thru then driving 4 minutes home to eat. We are Biloxi locals and were very excited about our first visit. The drive thru wait was about 20 minutes total with about 8 cars ahead of me. The line behind me wrapped around the building outside of the business property line. Two lanes of traffic combine into one once you order. As you wait in line to order, I recommend pulling up the online menu and have decision made to help speed up the ordering process. A live person takes your order, as you move forward someone else takes your payment, another brings your drinks, then another brings your food once it's ready. 4 folks total to get your to go order complete. This process seemed to work with a few snags. Definitely not a smooth checkout process like other major name-brand chicken fast food establishments. After 20 minutes we receive our order, we drove 4 minutes to get home. Upon opening our order, we realized some good sized portions for the combo meals. The fries were already soggy but the chicken strips were still hot. The quality of white meat chicken was very good but the taste was just okay. The chicken lacked seasoning and was bland. They do offer a variety of dipping sauces to help disguise the flavor. My thoughts are they just opened and they have a lot of customer service kinks to workout. I am not sure they can sustain good business when customers need to wait 20 minutes or longer for food in drive thru. As mentioned, the food taste was just okay but nothing exciting. I pass this establishment everyday driving home from work, there is always a line wrapped around the building. This is because it takes a while to get your food, they do need to work on efficiency. Maybe next time we will dine inside and our dining experience may change until then I will leave my review at a very generous 3 stars. I come here for the chicken sandwiches, each time I have went, it was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I am also impressed with the way the staff works as a team. When there is no one ordering, the cashier will help with delivering food/cleaning up and vice versa. These people know what they're doing. Food was decent, small portions for the $$. The wait was ridiculous and it wasn't because they were overly busy. The girl taking our order had extremely long nails that prevented her from being able to use the tablet to even take our order. She struggled for 5 minutes to be able to swipe my card because her nails wouldn't allow her to get the card flat in the reader. Update review To start off on the right foot, food was solid. Customer service wasn't it though. Picked up my mobile order noticed something was missing so I walk up to the counter to ask for it. Cashier with the AirPods & dyed hair finishes an order, looks at me and the customer behind me, no acknowledgement, just turns his back and proceeds to play on his phone for 5-6 minutes. I am so happy this place opened and I know they just opened. The staff is friendly. I would want to mention that their cups are way overfilled with ice like a ridiculous amount. Went at a non-peak time, Friday at 330pm. There weren't any customers in the building and only a few in the drivethru line- Seemed like an opportune time to try it. Decided to go into the building for ease, walk in and there were a ton of workers, which is great in theory. The cashier was ringing up one of her co workers, which is no big deal under normal circumstances. But two carried on a 5 minute conversation without the cashier once acknowledging there were other people waiting to place an order. As more employees arrived, they began asking for paychecks, and when this happened, the cashier walked away from the register to go tell the manager who was present to get their paycheck. Multiple times, again without acknowledging that there were people waiting. Eventually someone in the back brought to her attention that there were customers in the front and her response was "yeah customers, I see that" and still continued to try to get someone's attention for paychecks. Eventually she did come and take the order. Which was otherwise unremarkable. As far as the food goes, it was decent for fast food chicken. I didn't eat in the building as it was over crowded with the employees and rather loud. But even taking the food home didn't seem to impact the food negatively. It tasted just fine. Of course the fries were cooler than preferred but that's reasonable. The slims sauce didn't really have much flavor but the ranch was pretty good. When it came to the dessert jar, I'd ordered an oreo jar and was given a reeses one. Minor issue with making sure to get the right item out of the fridge, but fortunately I do not mind reese's and it did taste decent. Not too sure why there are many doubts surrounding the flavor of Slim Chickens, so I had to try it out for myself. My boyfriend and I ordered the 5 and 5 that comes with tenders, wings, fries, and toast. To my surprise, the tenders were well-seasoned and fresh. My partner and I both were able to taste the black pepper that was seasoned on the skin of the tenders. They were crunchy and hot! As for the wings, we got the sriracha garlic, and it was not too spicy but definitely had a kick to it. The fries were really good. Slims Chicken has 6 dipping sauce flavors to choose from, and I got the cayenne ranch and gravy. Both were a good additions to the flavor of the food. Perhaps, some of the mixed reviews come from trying their healthier options such as the salad, wraps, and various sides--but as for the "chicken" part of Slim "Chickens" I give it a 5/5 stars! As compared to Raising Cane's, Slim Chickens' tenders have way more flavor (even without the dipping sauce). As compared to Zaxby's french fries, Slim Chickens are fresh and seasoned evenly.
