I'm not particularly fond of the food -- everything tastes like it's been fried to death -- but if you're craving classic lake snacks, it gets the job done. I'm sure they have healthier options on the menu, but I didn't notice anything that stood out. Portions are generous, which is both a blessing and a curse. On the plus side, you don't have to feel wasteful if you don't finish your plate -- just walk it over to the seawall and the trained catfish and carp will happily clean up whatever you drop in the water. That's honestly one of the most entertaining parts of the visit. The location is convenient: you can shop for overpriced swimsuits and lake-appropriate apparel while you're there, and it's a solid place to stop for gas. They still sell ethanol-free fuel, which is a big win for boaters and anyone who cares about their engine.
