Yum! This was my first visit to Chicken Salad Chick but won't be my last. My daughter ordered the Dixie Chick on a croissant. I ordered the Fancy Nancy on a croissant. We both just opted for chips for the side item and I ordered a side of Spicy Pimento Cheese for us to share. The chicken salad is very good! Both of us (my daughter has been before) enjoyed it. The pimento cheese was ok. I think we both would've preferred the jalapeños in it be fresh vs the jarred pickled type. The jarred pickled flavor overwhelmed it and it wasn't as good as we were expecting. The pickles were good too. As were the little cookies that came with the meal! I think my only complaint would be that the sandwich is pretty skimpy on the chicken salad for the price. It's mostly croissant. While the croissant had a good flavor - we're there for the chicken salad. The next time - and there will be a next time - I will just order the chicken salad scoop in stead. read more

I've been a fan of chicken salad almost all my life, so naturally when I heard about Chicken Salad Chick, I wanted to give it a try. Really glad I did because I definitely enjoyed it. I went with my work crew on a Thursday for lunch. The place is very laid back with lots of comfortable seating. They so many different kinds of chicken salad to choose from, in more traditional styles and more unique styles. You can get it in a salad, with crackers, or on a sandwich. Can't decide? The helpful and friendly staff will help you choose a tasty option. I went with the fancy Nancy chicken salad on a BLT sandwich with a fruit salad. One of my co-workers copied my idea. My boss got the Buffalo chicken salad on Texas toast with a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. We hardly waited long at all before everything was ready. Such a great, quick and healthier option to all the fast food on Beechmont. I use their points system, which is pretty good. The quick chic is their go to. My family prefers the fancy Nancy and I prefer Olivia's Old South. Get it on a croissant if you're splurging! Otherwise, I order the salad with no dressing and a big scoop of the chicken salad. It doesn't disappoint! Service is always good and quick. Also, I bought my first to go container this last time, to take home. Solid, solid chicken salad. I ordered the trio with two chicken salads and one pimento cheese. The fruity Fran was definitely on the sweeter side as it had grapes and pineapples in it. The Buffalo chicken salad was my favorite. It provides a nice kick, but not too spicy. The pimento cheese tasted just like pimento cheese. Since it was the anniversary of chicken salad chick, my meal also came with a free scoop of the classic carol chicken salad. Now classic carol is classic alright. I tried two of the chicken salads and both pimento cheeses and the tortilla soup. Everything was very tasty and it's all homemade. The croissants was very soft and fluffy. The tomato and lettuce were fresh. The fancy one was my favorite but the sassy one was also good. I didn't like the taste of the southern one. There are many kinds to try to suit your tastes. The service was friendly and fast. Double points days are Tuesday and it's a little busier than normal. It's totally casual and takeout is consistent. It's a great lunch spot! read more

I am a huge chicken salad person, although I am cautious when eating it out, as I worry it has a high probability for spoiling as with anything mixed with mayo. I had heard great things in advance of this location opening, about the high quality of this chain. I arrived mid afternoon a few days into the grand opening. I was greeted by a small sign out front offering the soups of the day and toting that every order included a free butter cookie! Upon entrance I was shocked at how big the place is! There was a pile of menus (take home) to peruse, or a large sign board up front with the same menu. Just prior to check out was a refrigerated case of grabable goods to go! I stepped up to the counter, and although busy, it seemed they had all hands on deck for the first few days of opening. I asked the gentlemen some recommendations and decided on the chicken salad BLT on a croissant. You have the option to choose which kind of chicken salad you would like and I went with the sassy scotty. For my included side I went with the broccoli salad. A pickle and that advertised butter cookie is also included. I decided to get my order to go. The dining room was huge, and there was even a nice patio outside but it was quite crowded. My order came out very quickly. The croissant was buttery, flaky and a perfect compliment to its contents. The sassy scotty chx salad was quite salty, which was over powering, but the flavor itself was good. It is made with ranch so I suspect that is part of what made it overly salty. I would like to try a different chx salad variety next time. I loved the broccoli salad. The cookie and pickle were good. For the past week before opening, they've been out in the community, offering samples to nurses and businesses. Their social media game has been on point with marketing and giveaways. You can download their rewards app to earn credit towards free food and csc gear. They also send our code words to enter in for points at random. THE FOOD: 9.99 gets you a "trio" of endless options. You can get 3 chicken salads, 2 chicken salads and 1 egg salad, 1 pimento cheese, 1 egg salad, 1 chicken salad; your choice truly is endless with soups and salads as well. You can also just order "The Chick" which comes with one scoop of chicken salad and a side (or an additional scoop). Each order comes with a pickle, crackers and yummy buttercream cookie. Drinks are additional $1.99. Our trio included Fancy Nancy with Fuji apples and grapes (soooooo good), Barbie-Q (our favorite), Lemon Basil (heavy on the basil). I would order each one again but we are looking forward to trying more! There's one heavy with onion, another with sweetened cranberries and pecans AND a buffalo chicken salad. Dude. I didn't know I needed to experience a restaurant solely dedicated to chicken salad, but let me tell you, this place has it down. They know what they're doing. I didn't even think about concocting so many different types of chicken salad, like, what a concept! We tried the Classic Carol, Pimento Cheese and Chicken Salad BLT sandwiches with potato soup and chicken & artichoke soup. The bread was perfect. The chicken salad texture was so good, not too much mayonnaise which makes it slimy, you know what I mean lol. The pimento cheese oooooh my gosh, so good, so rich. There was a lot of hype about this place, so when my mom called and asked to go to lunch, this place was top of mind. It was busy! Almost a dozen workers were quite active preparing food and waiting on the customers. My thoughts based off this visit: -The staff was friendly and helpful. -They take your order at the back, then the kitchen delivers to your table. This process took about 8 minutes. Not bad for the lunch rush. - I ordered the Lauryn's Lemon and basil chicken salad, on white bread. It was fine. I really couldn't taste the lemon, so that must be a light touch. My mistake was getting it on toasted bread. The bread they use has the texture reminiscent of cardboard. I'm guessing they use this denser bread so it doesn't get soggy from the filling, but this is a huge mistake. -My mom got the Fancy Nancy on a croissant. She raved about the chicken salad, and the portion seemed larger than my bread version. She got the loaded baked potato soup which she said was delicious. I got the tomato soup, and I'm not sure why. I guess I thought it was a good match for the savory sandwich. I'd try something different next time. Such a great spot! We went for lunch around 11 on a Tuesday and by the time we left the line was out the door. We were served quickly and there were workers at our table frequently asking if we needed anything. I had a scoop of the Classic Carol and a cup of the potato soup-DELICIOUS. Everything around the chicken salad is just ok - nothing to write home about. A packaged cookie comes with yoUr meal - I would rather have one baked in the store. All the bread options aren't great - nothing made fresh. Cold average croissant. Soup was ok kind of on par with Panera but again, clearly not made there. "Fresh" lemonade was Minute Maid LOL. I've been wanting to try this place and finally got the chance to. I ordered easily online and they gave me a pick up time. We went to pick it up and the people working were so nice and quick. The food was delicious. I ordered The Chick - Fancy Nancy on Croissant w/ the Pasta Salad and Lemonade The chicken salad sandwich was Delightful! The pasta salad was yummy, nothing to rave about next time i will try the grape salad. They even add a cookie that is to die for. This made the perfect lunch not too heavy and I highly recommend. My boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to grab a bite to eat. We decided on Chicken Salad Chick. We figured it was new, clean, booming with business and there was a lot of hype when it opened so why not? We walked in and the dining room had a cute/cozy kitchen feeling to it. Tables with cheap-ish table cloths. Obviously, I know this is a casual lunch spot but plastic table cloths? Come on. Anyway, we walk up to the counter and the front of the house staff is just meh. Staff doesn't look very friendly, welcoming, put together, etc,. Our cashier was okay. Again, not very welcoming. It was our first time so we asked a couple questions about the menu and she replied in a monotone, "hate my life" tone, and not willing to walk us through the menu. I work in the restaurant industry and it's obvious when it is a customers first time at the restaurant- and when it is, I do the best of my ability to walk them through the menu! This was frustrating to me. We ordered, it was overpriced. $16 for a chicken BLT, pasta salad, 1 tiny scoop of mediocre chicken salad, and a small serving of soup. The waiting area for the "takeout/online ordering" is just big enough for 2 people to stand. Not to mention the person running the food to the dining room is weaving in and out of the customers waiting. So, we sat at a table to wait for our order. They had a woman tending to the dining room with a cast/wrap on her arm. I think, "good for her for working still with an injured arm!".... until I see her wiping off a table with a sanitized towel then when she was finished hanging the towel in top of her wrap. Proceeding then to the next table to wipe it down. Gross. God knows where that cast has been. I wanted to tell the manager so bad but didn't want to feel like I was overstepping. The dining room had straw wrappers all over it and the drink station was not stocked with spillage all over the place. Food was so mediocre. Chicken Salad Chick is not worth the hype and I will NEVER be back. Sorry to be so thorough but if you are looking for a nice place to eat at during lunch that specializes in chicken? Just stick to Chic Fil A or Canes :) read more
