Well I am addicted to the delicious southern fried chicken and Chef salad. They also make the best tea and lemonade. I like the fact that they are closed on Sundays our day of rest even though I keep driving by on Sundays peaking for someone to be there to serve me some Chicken for Sunday Dinner! The food was so good and well seasoned. There was enough sauce on my Buffalo Chicken Pita that I didn't need to ask for more, which is a bonus since I'm a sauce queen . Which the fries were fried harder since it was a take out order. By the time I got home they were soggy in my container, but still edible. The service was quick were I wasn't waiting long for my food. Had my food through the drive thru so not sure what the inside looks like. Overall, I would definitely go back again and over either the same thing or something different to see what else is great on their menu! read more

My husband always laughs at me when I go to Chicken King because I never order chicken with the exception of their gizzards which are phenomenal by the way if you are into those type of things but I always get their double cheeseburger and fries I don't care what time of day or night it is I love their burgers it started at their nation's Ford location and then they'll rozzles ferry location but I now live on the east side so the Harris location is the one that I go to and the food is still delicious. read more

Yep... 5 stars because whenever I have a hankering for fried fish this is the only place I go to since Pier 16 closed down. The staff here are always friendly to me, the food is REALLY good. Shut it down!!! This was once one of my favorite spots to go too but now it's not worth a penny. Got there and ordered the fish Sandwich meal with fries. Well what I got was one piece of fish on a large bun (usually comes with two pieces) with lettuce and tomato with frost bitten fries for $10. Shame on all of you that work there knowing you ripping people off. I will NEVER return to another CK spot again. And then they had the nerve to charge $.50 for sauce that went down in quality smh. I see why it's a ghost town over there now. They won't be in business for long, not like that. Shut it down or get it together! read more

What a disappointing meal this was. Have you ever set your tastebuds up for failure? That's exactly what I did. The fries were not freshly cooked and the chicken was still hairy ( imagine my face saying yuck ). I have honestly been there before and I had freshly cooked fried and bald chicken, lol. They have a lot of items on the menu but I can't say that I would want anything after this encounter. This review is solely for the one I have tried and I know there's another one so I would try that one before giving up completely on Chicken King. I really want to try a chicken place that offers a great lemon pepper seasoning and awesome fries. Sorry but this place is a no way for me. Lemon pepper is my thing so suggestions are welcome and I will try it out!!! read more

This place use to be a decent place to order from but over the last three years they have gone down considerably. First the price didn't just go up a little, it jumped up by $4-$5 dollars. I get food has gone up but Jesus. The the quality of the food doesn't even match what you are charging. Fries have been burnt, fish has been small but they aren't giving any extra, hamburgers have been dry (how do you dry out a hamburger) and so on. Prime example, I stop to get a Perch box on my way to work and my fries look as if they refried some fries and the fish looked like half the size they use to be. I didn't realize this till I had pulled of and was on Independence when I opened the box to get a frye and every frye was burnt to a crisp. Some may like that but I do not. So I called the restaurant and asked to speak to a manager. The put me on hold and someone else came to the phone and said that the manager was off today. I then asked to speak to a supervisor or whomever was over the kitchen. I couldn't believe this part,. The responded, there isn't anyone here. Call back in 15 minutes. I said I couldn't and the put me on hold again. Some lady came to the phone and asked if she could help me. I explained the situation and she asked if I could bring it back. I told her I couldn't I was headed to work and she replied well can you come before we close or tomorrow. I said, ma'am I get off at three in the morning. I brought this to eat for my dinner and you're asking me not to eat anything so that I can bring it back tomorrow. She asked me to hold and I did. When she came back she said she called her manager and they said that in order for me to get a refund or a replacement dinner I had to return the other one. I replied, so you expect me to work till 3am without eating because I took my last and bought a dinner at you restaurant that burnt my food. She says, well that's what the manager said the policy is. Prices are fair but it definitely won't be my new favorite place to go when I come home to visit. The mac and cheese was terrible and I would whether have had GMO filled fake cheese having Kraft before having ever had tasted and ingested there mac and cheese. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich combo as well and that I can say was their saving grace on this review as it was perfectly seasoned and piping hot and delicious! The customer service was amazing and we were greeted by a friendly voice and they were extremely patient while my husband and I were deciding upon what to order. I would say that this is definitely a place worth trying for the prices you really can't lose. read more

Probably my favorite place to grab take out. Kinda reminds me of a Showmars or South 21 type of place, with a very similar style of menu. Of course their chicken is great, but I've not really found anything on their menu I didn't enjoy. I've had the fried chicken, tenders, wings, burgers, chops, fish, shrimp, and more. It's all delicious. The fries are fine, but the rings are up there with anyone's for me. The grilled chicken is awesome as well, if you're wanting to cut back on the fried stuff. The staff is friendly too, even when you walk in five minutes before close. If you stop in regularly, they not only remember you, but what you like to order as well. My only suggestion is to skip the drive through and walk in. They prepare everything to order, so you'll be sitting at the window just as long as you will inside. That's not a bad thing by any means, though. Love this place. read more

Usually get their no. 17, the grilled chicken pita. But wanted to try something new today. Ended up getting the homemade chicken salad sandwich. Said I wanted to "make it a combo". Worst customer service I have experienced since moving to Charlotte. Ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings and, 25 minutes later, order was not ready. The 10 orders after I placed mine were completed. The young lady who stated she was the manager was condescending and rude and basically didn't care if I was happy or not. If I could give zero starts I would. Go somewhere else or to another location but spare yourself the possible insult I received. read more

Love this places wings served dry but you get the bottle of wing sauce use as much as you want ... cheese burgers are above Average ( the fries are always Seasoned perfectly) there ranch dressing as a dip is not a quality ranch little flavor there wish they had combos that included drinks , I'm sure it would increase there in house traffic read more

Went through the drive thru, service was fast and friendly. The food was pretty good too. I ordered the Perch Box for me and the Pork Chop Dinner for my husband. Looked in hubby's box and he got three nice size chops so I stole one, how would he know the difference right? According to the menu it looks like I have many more options to try. And since my kids and I go to the library right around the corner every Friday after school I've got a new place to pick up dinner! read more

I wouldn't return. My cousin and I came here on my birthday because the place she wanted to go to was closed. My cousin WARNED me that we shouldn't go here. I was so hungry and just wanted to eat. So we came here against her warning. I regret going against her. The Customer Service was very great from the cashiers, but the food was not good. I got fried whiting, fried shrimp, and french fries. The shrimp was the only thing edible. The whiting was tasteless, and not crispy. The fries were crinkle cut fries that you could get at a local grocery store. I let the staff know and even wanted to speak to the Chef. I was thinking "How the hell could someone not season the whiting???" When the Chef came out, it was a Greek guy who barely spoke English. Now I understood why. To make matters worse, he was the Owners cousin. I wouldn't return here. The place only gets 2 stars instead of 1 because the Customer Service of the front staff was good. read more

I have been to a few Chicken King locations and this one is certainly cleaner than the the ones that I have been in. I ordered the double cheeseburger and fries and the service was pretty quick. The food tasted good as well. This location has a nice area to sit down and eat, something most locations don't have. They have a drive-thru which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, given that it takes at least 5 minutes per customer to get their order. You might as well walk in. The staff here is friendly and polite. I will be coming back soon. read more

I was surprised by this place. They offer fast food meals with A+ ingredients that's delicious and quick. My intentions was to pick up a takeout order for someone else and ended up with a tasty fish filet sandwich for myself. The menu is stacked with various entrees from burgers, seafood, chicken, desserts and kid's meals. Don't expect healthy (they do serve a variety of salads), just deep fried goodness. read more

OH MY GOSH! I am officially an addict to the food at this particular one. All chicken king locations don't cook like this one do. This one is the best. My favorite entree is the pita burger with fries or grilled chicken salad. I mean salad so good you barely need your salad dressing!!
