Chicken Express - 3PC FISH COMBO - Chicken Wings Near Me - Waxahachie, Texas

The only way this place gets a 10 is because that's what my two piece chicken tenders looked like...one was super long and skinny...the other short and fat...like a 10. Or maybe this is the Twin meal where one is Arnold Schwarzenegger and the other is Danny DeVito??? The fries were sooo small you'd think it was a kids meal. And the MSG they add to the batter is crazy! I'm sensitive to MSG and wound up not being able to sleep from the nervousness and had to use a sick day at work. And I paid around $10 for this experience! Never, ever, go here if you want good, satisfying, food for a decent price that won't impact your health. read more

Food was good and on point. Had a two piece (wing/thigh) roll and a jalapeño 3.5 stars it has been better. read more

They were very polite, the food was quick, it's hot and ready. Will definitely come to this location again!!

I normally use the Midlothian location but a few weeks back I went to the Waxahachie store. I noticed that the drive thru was serviced quicker, so I ordered the two piece fish combo and two piece chicken combo. I was told that the fish would take seven minutes to cook and after I paid, was told to pull up to the front and they would bring it out when ready. After ten minutes I noticed that a bag was placed on the holding counter. After another ten minutes I went in and it was my order. Today I placed the same order and twelve minutes later I was handed my bag. The tartar sauce I asked for was not there when I got home. I will not use this location again. read more

Great food and very fast service. I will definitely try them again when I'm in the area.

I experienced the same as other others I called to try to get fixed and the General manager said no receipt cannot help you I replied I am not trying to get a free meal just want it right will not be going to ANY Chicken express again. Oh yea I failed to mention I live in Rice Texas but travel through that way. Have Good Day Manager read more

Went for lunch, will never come back. The lady that took our order got every item wrong when reading it back to us and gave us the wrong drink. Then when I was eating the food, I found a literal black spot in the chicken??? Never eating here again. read more

Slow, too many kids working here. Need some adults there, that act like they care. Over 20 minute wait for normal chicken. I don't see how corporate Chicken Express let's a franchise like this not be corrected. I hate to have to drive all the way across town to the better Chicken Express read more

DISAPPOINTED to say the least! Always saw a line for their drive thru and thought it must be great. I couldn't have been more misled. The chicken was overcooked and dry! The coleslaw was pretty good and the sweet tea was drinkable but not great! It kinda tasted like they haven't cleaned the pot. This place was definitely a one and done. I don't waste money giving bad food a second chance to let me down. KFC and Popeyes are much better all around read more

The chicken is really good. That is the only reason I have continued to patronize Chicken Express. Both locations in Waxahachie have failed to get my orders correct the last 6 times I have been in. When I bring it to the attention of the staff, they respond as if it is not an issue and offer no customer recovery at all. No sense of pride in a job well done at all. No sense of customer retention or growing customer satisfaction. It is incredibly sad that this is what passes as good service today. read more

I loveeee having chicken express I usually go for teas but i'm never disappointed with the food, they always have amazing service and the food is fresh every time! read more

This is the first time I can remember taking a bite of something and physically having to spit it back out of my mouth. The offending bite was of the nastiest biscuit I've ever tasted. Ever. Aside from being completely cold and hard, it tasted like it was laced with the cleaning solution someone used to mop the floors with. The mashed potatoes were cold and too old to eat in any enjoyable way, so I opted out of everything but the chicken itself. The chicken was edible. Not great but I've had worse. Overall, this was the worst meal I've had in a long time. The only worse chicken express experience I've ever had was several years ago and it involved someone's hair in my combo meal. I would not recommend eating here, especially anywhere near closing time! TLDR: My large diet Dr Pepper was the sole island of goodness in an endless ocean of bad. Eww, eww, yuck, never again. read more

great service, they had everything we ordered. they didn't give us the ol "we're out of chicken legs... out of rolls...". I called the order in, the person that answered was very professional and polite and efficient. The order was ready when we pulled up. Great service and friendly customer service. read more

Do better! If you can't find people to work with IQ above 72 work yourself! You kind of need to be able to speak with your mouth open and be able to hear and understand what you hear when someone orders! Maybe if you would pay a half ass decent wage you could hire better people! read more

I stopped in ordered catfish in the drive through. They told me it's a 10-15 minute wait. I pulled around front. The manager came out a few minutes later and informed me they had a problem with the fryer, and had to start over on my order. He was super nice, professional and very apologetic. He made sure that my order was perfect and my food was delicious and hot. Every restaurant occasionally has a little foul up, but the way he handled it was exactly perfect. read more

What has happened? Too many other fast food chicken establishments that serve chicken and fried fish. My wife went and got take out. As she stated, her chicken strips were good but not fantastic. On the other hand though. My fried fish came as only three fish filets. No fries. No tartar sauce. No red sauce. My fish were hours old. Cold. Rubbery. My step sons girl friend had the fish as well. Hers was dry and hard. Never again. read more

Chicken Express is as good as it gets, for me, personally. Maybe I am bias because this has been a staple since my private high school catered them in for lunch back in Georgia, or maybe it is just THAT delicious. It was quite inspiring to visit a location in Dallas, as this is the home of Chicken Express, and the official partner of the Texas Rangers! Everything is good to me but the highlight is the #1 or #2 with Mozzarella Sticks and Fries. DO NOT order dipping sauce for the chicken because the included gravy is there for that purpose. A sweet tea is the final piece to top off an excellent meal. read more

Chicken Express - The time has come after nearly two years... - Chicken Wings Near Me - Waxahachie, Texas

Ordered the fish and it was the worst fish I've ever had! It was so over cooked that it was like just eating fried cornmeal and smaller pieces than they usually have. Can't believe they even sent that out for delivery. I will say the mini poppers were very good. This was the one north of town. read more

Terrible experience. Didn't have enough chicken for a walk in order. Service was rude.

First time at Chicken Express. Haven't got my food yet, but not too impressed. The store appears okay and outdated. It even smells a bit (outside of the yummy fried chicken smell). And, the flies are terrible! They are quite busy though. Here's to hoping the food is good. read more

Wow. This place is great. They have a worker that will actually run around the building delivering your drinks and taking your payment to keep the line moving. These are some hard working folks. The food is great, you can ask for your preference and they will bend over backwards to make it hapen. Kudos to kids that are working so hard! I love me some light colored rolls and extra crispy chicken. All I have to do is request it!! read more

You deserve 0 stars. Your employees don't care to put the proper order in the bag and pass it out the window. One simple order of mashed potatoes, that was it and I get home to gravy only. My bad for not checking it but your bad for screwing up a mashed potato order. Pay attention!!!! Will not be returning to this location, the people they hire now are complete crap, nothing comparable to the people who used to work here. read more

Chicken Express has really messed things up! We haven't ordered hot wings in a while so we thought we'd get some today. We didn't bother to look at them until we got home & what a surprise we had. Expecting bone-in (that we love) we were extremely disappointed when we opened the box. They were boneless. Those shouldn't even be called wings. When I contacted the store to see what was going on I found out they don't serve bone-in any longer. I hope all your other customers are OK with that because you have lost any business we might have given you in the future. read more

Let me just give you some tips. If you're ordering for more than six, don't be deterred by those angry glances, folks! Just put a smile on your face. I mean, not that it matters, but you don't want to make matters worse when the shift manager comes out to flex their muscles and give you a good talking to. I mean how DARE you. They have to push those buttons on the register EIGHT TIMES. That mountain of chicken tenders in the background is just for decoration, you idiot! Also, it doesn't stop with the shift manager. All employees in the place will find various passive aggressive ways to let you know you suck for any order for more than four people. And don't think being a regular gives you any points. The minute you have a lapse in judgement and threaten the integrity of that mountain of food under the heat lamps, you will rue the day! I hope you have good utensils. Those plastic utensils they give you will NOT peel through the "lasagna" meal you ordered. The lasagna being chicken tenders, cole slaw, potato salad, a roll, and a napkin all mashed into a remarkably layered dinner delight. With gravy. Because they were mad at you. I've been through two al-natural child births, and both were less painful than going into this circus act. read more

This place used to be so good back a few years ago. Not anymore. It's a complete joke. Sat in the drive thu line for over 30 minutes and they had to correct the order once because they screwed it up. They finally bring out our food and we get home only to realize they STILL forgot items from our order. They didn't even put a receipt with the meal. The high school kids behind the counter were too busy goofing off to give a crap. Worst Chicken Express I've ever been to hands down. Will not be returning. read more

Best Tea Period! Now, about the food... The chicken is always consistent... hot, tender and moist... About as good of chicken strips as you can find in Waxahachie... on par with Chick-Fil-A strips... which are awesome too, just different in texture.... The fired okra is great... and given the choice between rolls or biscuits, always choose the rolls... The service is about average, not Chick-Fil-A service by any means, but usually quick and efficient... Did I mention the tea? read more

These employees have other things on their minds. They never give everything you order through drive through. Always something missing. Gravy, Hushpuppies, rolls, 1 or 2 short on the chicken or fish, etc... always something. BE SURE and check your order thoroughly before leaving as their phone number does not work on the receipt Gives a fax machine noise when dialed. I guess too many complaints. read more

Went through the drive-through Open my food and everything was cold roles were squished and I had something in my role I went inside to tell the manager and another employee Said sorry before the manager did and she was rude and said do you want me to remake it I said no thank you I just would like my money back she just walked off and came back and handed me my money I will never go here Agin and I love chicken Express but this is not the one to go to read more

We keep coming back after multiple bad experiences because I try to give the benefit of the doubt, and obviously if I'm craving chicken, this should be our go-to spot, but I'm let down every single time. The corn nuggets and okra? Soggy as ever, barely warm at all, basically seems like they just throw it in the microwave and then in the bag. The only "crunch" to the fried okra is the weird hard things in it that make it basically inedible. I could get better okra from the deli at Walmart, and that's sad. This place was so good back in 2011 with fresh, hot food. What happened?! read more

Just paid 55.21 for the 40 pace mega meal, chicken tender deal. The driver arrived and we were shorted our gallon of tea. When I called (after my wife called with no results), I was told I didn't order it properly. I told her there was one way to order it, as advertised. She told me you could order with or without. Rather than giving me my gallon of tea as advertised, she just felt standing her ground was the way to handle the situation. You clearly advertise a gallon of tea, this really makes me angry. Thank you Diane, your managerial experience is far from exceptional, you should be fired. I will take this to the corporate level, this is unacceptable and ridiculous, have a great night and thanks for trashing mine. Mike read more

Try to go through the drive thru here and have them not interrupt you with the phrase "anything else" between each item you're trying to order. Only to arrive at the end of your order not repeating any of it to you and getting it wrong at least half the time. Y'all are lucky your tea is as addictive as cocaine......otherwise I'd be going else where. Dear Lord please stop saying "anything else, anything else, anything else"!
