Manager says they can't refund the missing food because it was a Doordash order, which it wasn't; it was an order on the Chicken Express website. Doordash has no record of the order, but Chicken Express does. Bottom line: Chicken Express incompletely fills direct orders on their website, hides behibd a third party and won't refund your money. Stopped by here on 6/17/19 on my way to Dallas. Logan took our order and he was very friendly and provided great customer service. The place is also very very clean. After we left with our food, I was disappointed because my food was cold and I asked for a roll and instead had cold hush puppies. So we turned around and brought the food back. Logan apologized and Josh confirmed my new box was hot and correct. He was right, the tenders were piping hot and delicious. Therefore a 1 star review turned into a 5 star. I ordered a 4 strip combo. Chicken strips were nice and crispy with good seasonings. The breading on the pickles were quite thick but it was flavorful. Biscuit is homemade, too bad they don't carry jelly or jam. Sweet tea had just the right amount of sugar and crushed ice, my favorite. It's better than most chain fried chicken restaurant. Chicken is moist and well seasoned, and the sides are good! My husband who is a chicken tender connoisseur () approves their tenders which says a lot, I got to say. My favorite sides are their fried okra, mashed potatoes, and Cole slaw. I've waited 2 weeks to post this review. We visited the restaurant 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Each time, we could not get through he front door without smelling a very foul odor. Not sure if it is coming from the bathroom but it sure smells like it. There are 4 chicken restaurants (one on each corner) of I-35 and Walnut. I would highly recommend visiting one of the other restaurants until they get rid of the smell in the dining room. That being said, other chicken express locations are great. The chicken strips are awesome and the gravy is on point. We love the corn fritters and sweet tea. Management: please investigate the source of the odor and correct it. I am sure that we'll give you high marks for food quality and value once your dining area smells better. read more

Pretty cool place to get fried livers and yeah catfish. They always make the livers to order, which makes them crispy, juicy, and delicious. I love the white gravy that comes with them, but I also like ketchup with livers. This location is right by Rudy's BBQ. They did exchange our order. But didn't seem happy about it. Not good customer service! Let me tell you that chicken express is extremely delicious and good chicken at most locations but at this one it was not very pleasant. the girl asked me if i wanted my food hot as if it was a joke, secondly my chicken wasn't cooked and the ones that were cooked were dumped with spicy powder because she kept pushing me into trying the spicy tenders. I had a procedure the day of and wasn't able to contact them so I did so the very next day and I want this to be noted for this location as being a military family we were hung up on she questioned me as I was lying to her and then over and over said she could not find it. she then the owners were there and could give me there email but if the owners were there why could they not talk? hmmm customer service at its finest. oh and her NAME WAS GLORIA. and after she was done helping i was hung up on twice. Well to start off, they forgot our corn nuggets. When we went into the building to get our corn nuggets the stuff wasn't rude but obviously annoyed, it was their mistake that they messed up they were annoyed with us for coming in to get the food that we paid for.
