Food is typical Chick-fil-a but the drive through is awful. Never would have attempted it had I had known I'd be in line for 40 minutes.

Taco ruse indeed. Right now they are serving a regular CookOut menu and coffee. The cashier said…read morethey are serving the cookout menu because they cannot get any food shipments for a new menu. It doesn't really make sense to me but who knows. Eventually they plan to serve burritos and tacos. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it is to-go only right now. Credit cards are accepted. So one different food item they serve that is not actually written on their original Cookout menu is the Walking Taco (total with tax $3.04). It's essentially a small 1oz bag of nacho cheese Doritos topped with taco ingredients. It's topped with taco-seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce, sour cream, and optional chopped jalapenos. It was tasty, but it gets soggy quick. I think it is worth one try or just make it yourself at home, but where is the fun in that? By the way, a utensil was not provided so don't forget to ask for a fork, unless you're a savage and like to get your hands dirty. Cookout is one of the better fast food restaurant (burger and fries) but I prefer Shake Shack burgers (on the east coast). I got a junior burger (about 4-in diameter bun) with all of the usual toppings (mayo, mustard, ketchup, pickles, onions, lettuce) and added sliced cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and Cajun seasoning. Definitely recommend Cajun seasoning as this adds a lot more flavor. Also recommend getting grilled onions if you're a onion lover, but their grilled onions are no match for In-N-Out (on the west coast). Fries were thin, crispy, and salted well. Didn't come with ketchup packets automatically so had to ask for them. Also got a quesadilla (almost 8-in diameter) with beef. There's also an option for chicken. It is more like a snack so if you want to make it a meal, probably should get at least 2-3+ plus a side. I liked the quesadilla. The quesadilla was pressed with a panini press so it was crispy. It had flavorful ground patty beef mixed with melted cheese. I would be interested in seeing how their burritos and tacos taste like, if they ever add them.

I have to say that with all the build up to this place opening, I was really just anticipating…read moresomething a lot more exciting. It's tacos and a lot of stuff from the main menu like what you would find at any other burger place. There is also coffee. It's clean. The staff are following Covid protocols. And the wait is not nearly as long as if you go down the block, so there's that. And they have a couple other things that the other menu doesn't have.

Went to order and the employees were smiling, happy, pleasant, very friendly. Sat down and tables were clean . Someone was walking around cleaning tables at all times and asking if we needed anything and asking if our food was . We got our order quickly. Didn't wait longer than 10 minutes. Our food was fresh and hot. Flavor was amazing! My husband got reaper tenders(which were the size of a chicken breast) and I got mild, my son got reaper and medium, my sons girlfriend got light mild, my youngest and his buddy got no spice. You can choose your spice level of the chicken, and even customize for them to add no spice. I got the two sliders w/fries and chose the "extra spicy" for my chicken. I loved the crunch that the chicken had, and even being "extra spicy" it was the PERFECT spice level to complement the slaw that it's topped with and the potato bun. It love a great mix of sweet and spicy, which is my personal favorite flavor contrast! Even though the fries are a side, I have a special place in my heart for crinkle cut fries & tots! Service was top notch, and inside was clean with plenty of seating! I'd easily give Dave Hot Chicken 5 out of 5 If you haven't tried Dave's Hot Chicken then you definitely need to, because the hype is up to par!

It feels warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed without trying too hard. Service was friendly and relaxed -- Jess took great care of us throughout the evening. There was a small hiccup with the chicken order initially, but it was corrected quickly and professionally, which says a lot about how the team operates under pressure. Expediting could have been a little tighter, but the recovery was handled well. The food was the real star. The tuna appetizer was outstanding, and the fried chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful -- even though the crust was darker than expected and looked overcooked at first glance, it turned out to be tender and delicious once we cut into it. Biscuits were excellent, mac and cheese was rich and satisfying, and the grits were perfectly done. Desserts -- the brownie and apple cobbler -- were absolutely amazing and a strong finish to the meal. The only minor disappointment was the honey mustard/honey barbecue sauce, which was thinner than expected and lacked that thicker, honey-forward texture you might anticipate. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience. Great atmosphere, strong execution in the kitchen, and a team that clearly cares about taking care of their guests. Definitely a place worth returning to when in Wilmington.

Smoky Chicken That Needs No Sauce!…read more We popped into Papi's Peruvian Chicken on a Sunday, hoping to beat the church crowd, but it turns out, the real blessing was waiting inside. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, my buddy leaned over and said, "Man, someone's smoking something and it smells delicious." When we stepped inside, his grin got even bigger as he turned to me and said, "It's this place, great choice!" We both went for the smoked dark quarter with street corn salad. My buddy chose green beans, and I went with the Inca pork beans. I asked the woman at the counter to recommend a sauce, and she took the time to explain each one, patiently answering all my basic questions. It turns out, the chicken didn't need any sauce at all. It was smoky, moist, and packed with flavor--crispy on the outside with a deep, wood-fired taste that lingered with every bite. The Inca pork beans were hearty and full of flavor, a solid sidekick to the main event. The street corn salad, while fresh, could have used a bit more kick--maybe a sprinkle of cheese or a dash of lime to brighten it up. The interior's industrial strip mall vibe is functional but could benefit from a few authentic touches--like Peruvian art or music--to match the rich flavors coming out of the kitchen. If you're craving smoky, fall-off-the-bone chicken, Papi's Peruvian Chicken is worth the trip. I'll definitely be back to try more!

The flavor was great the caramelized onions with the Oklahoma sauce was a great pairing. The burger itself was juicy and had a good flavor. One of the better burgers I've had honestly and you have a ton of toppings to choose from. My one bite score came out to a whopping 8.2/10 which is the 4th highest rated burger on my scale ever. The sweet potato wedges were amazing the cinnamon is the way to go! I was kind of disappointed with the sizing I ordered a large to split between the two of us and it wasn't enough. The 12 oz shake was amazing the only thing with that was it took forever. I was done with my food by the time the shake was done. It did look like they only have one shake machine so that could be why it took so long but the fact the I was done with my food before even seeing the shake was a bit crazy.
