There was hardly anyone there, but it still took a while for someone to take my order. I specifically ordered the Munchie of horror with the burger, and after they took my order and payment at the window, they told me they were out of the promotional cups and gave me a voucher instead. I would've ordered something else if I had known this info before paying. If you're advertising a meal, you should know what you have in stock and let customers know before taking their money. Then, when I received my food, they told me they were out of the box the meal was supposed to come in, so they handed me a regular bag. I stayed at the window and asked for taco sauce because the person who gave me my bag just handed it to me and walked away quickly. As I drove away, I realized they hadn't given me a straw for my drink. I thought it would have been in the bag. None of these things individually are a huge deal, but when you put everything together, it feels like the location is consistently disorganized and not paying attention. I also noticed another customer waiting with her two kids in the pickup area in the parking a lot. I saw an employee bring her food out. For a mom to take her two kids of the car; I could only imagine how long they had been waiting for their meal. I really do love Jack in the Box tacos, but this location needs to step it up. They shouldn't be advertising a meal if they don't have the supplies that come with it, and customers should be told about missing items before they pay. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was going to be a great experience. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor tables available as well as a traditional deli counter. They also have a drive thru! You can choose to order at the counter or be seated with a more traditional restaurant-like service. Our waiter was young but very professional and provided great recommendations. To start, they bring a complimentary bowl of bagel chips (a unique twist and a great way to repurpose old bagels). For my meal, I had a half American sandwich with a bowl of matzo ball soup. It was simple but delicious. On our way out, we stopped at the deli and ordered a few rugelach. They tasted so fresh! My favorite was the apricot flavor. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine.
