My family and I rarely get out this way but while doing some last-minute Christmas shopping we needed a quick lunch so Chick-fil-A to the rescue! My 6-year-old was disappointed to learn there was no playground, but I was secretly thankful that we could cut our lunch shorter that way and get on with our Christmas errands. We ordered all our usuals - spicy deluxe sandwiches, fries, and a kid's nugget meal. The young lady at the counter who took our order was seemingly new - she floundered when I asked for extra lettuce on my sandwich (which arrived with extra lettuce, but randomly no tomato...) and my husband specifically asked for a large drink and large fry on his meal, but realized while eating later that he only received a medium drink and fry. Despite those errors, our food was still enjoyable and did the job to fuel us for the next few hours of combatting the pre-Christmas crowds. read more

Their employees are very nice, never had an issue with my orders and the speed in which you order to receiving your food regardless of how busy it is is excellent. Food is always fresh to me and I appreciate the speed when it comes to the concept of "fast food". I hadn't been here for six months, now I know why? Wow $17.24 for a chicken sandwich meal. This is getting crazy. I don't see these franchises being here in the next two years. You can't sustain this "lunch" meal for almost $20. As I was writing this my Jalapeño Spicy chicken meal showed up. What a rip-off, chicken was blah, the lettuce looked like it was sitting out for a day, the fries were absolutely cold. You guys should be closing up shop here soon. This is the first Chick-Fil-A I have ever been to where the customer service was not reflective of the brand. Our Cashier was not friendly as well as the rest of the staff. We asked for a to -go bag but as my husband stood at the counter waiting patiently, several employees passed by and ignored him. Every-time we said thank you we didn't get a "my pleasure" or a "you're welcome". After we left we felt uncomfortable with the atmosphere as if we were bothering staff for giving our businesses. While I like chick fil A in general, but this has got to be one of the worst location. It's right next to a busy in n out. Then the car pick up area parking spot is like on the "main" street where there are 2 entrances that people enter in from Grand or San Marcos Blvd. So you park there to pick up and sometimes, you can't get out because the lines for Chick Fil A and in n out start building up. Plaza owners should ban a chick fil A and in n out from being in the same plaza and right next to each other. It's a car mess! Opposite side location is fine but this is literally right next to each other. I've gotten their chicken sandwich, breakfast sandwich's, nuggets and their grill chicken sandwich. Definitely skip the grill chicken sandwich as it was dry. Stick with the fried stuff. read more

I love the speed and the service however in regards to the service twice in the recent week I asked for no straws and instead of getting no straws I get two straws for one drink I don't know why it's so difficult but no straws means no straws. I don't like using and abusing and I don't believe in plastic straws. I thought that was the case for state, regardless I request no straws and I don't only get one but I get two, twice in one week. I particularly don't like is the big slices of tomato and big slices of lettuce I would rather have plenty of lettuce and plenty of tomatoes but in smaller pieces so when you take a bite you don't take the whole piece with you it'll be easier and edible plus less messy. A female worker entered my bathroom stall, even though she saw me go into the bathroom. The mechanism was not fully working. I screamed. It was horrible. Much worse is the owner/operator still has not replied to my email I sent 10/8/24, tonight is 10/22/24. Reaching out to corporate tomorrow. I can't express how disgusted I am I woke up this morning and picked up breakfast for my child and I and I asked for a water cup with ice to fill his water flask. When I went to go pour the water and his water flask. This is what I noticed I don't know what the hell it is, but it's definitely not water. I came around 1:50 on 10/20/25 and Heard a shorter brown haired possibly Hispanic girl who was "working" who was complaining to another coworker loud enough that I could hear, about how I put in ANOTHER order saying my name so I know for a fact it was about my order ; meanwhile I put in orders for my coworkers to have lunch and she had the audacity to do it in front of me someone in a light gray shirt I'm assuming the manager witnessed it I believe because we quickly went to her to tell her something. I don't get help people can complain about having to do their jobs the entitlement is insane and makes me not want to go to this location again. Like you're literally getting paid, to do this so the more food people buy the more likely you are to keep your job. Henry Curran I think that's what his sweatshirt said. He was the cashier who took my order while I was at chikfila about a week ago. He just seemed rude and was like huffing and puffing while taking my order and he just seemed like he could be doing anything else but interacting with me. It was the weirdest interaction I've ever had with a chikfila employee at any restaurant. I made 2 separate orders while I was there and requested the orders be for there since I was ordering and eating inside. They brought both of my separate orders out in bags. So 1 the cashier wasn't even listening to me and 2 he was extremely rude. Don't know if I will be returning to this location again. read more

Back when I lived in San Marcos, I used to eat at this Chick-Fil-A. Since I only lived in San Marcos from 2015-2016, I don't have many fond memories of this place. But I do remember the food tasting good. The service is cool, because they are still in delivery range in my house, (this is still needed in case Encinitas Chick-Fil-A delivery glitches out) the ambiance of it is cool too, I like the freeway near it! The worst Chick fil A experience ever. I ordered through the app and asked for delivery. I paid for Mac and cheese and didn't get that or the bag that had all the utensils or condiments in. Door Dash has no record of the transaction since Chick fil A charged my card.
