First time at this location, and it reminded me why I love Chick-fil-A! The staff was absolutely incredible. I can truly be having the worst day, and the employees here never fail to put a smile on my face. The customer service is always top-notch, and the food is consistently fresh and hot! Keep being GREAT! read more

I went to chick fil a for lunch at work and I got a side kale salad and got chicken nuggets to put in my salad. One of my chicken nuggets had a grey area that was also pink and slimy. This is the second time I have received nuggets with a bad one. read more

My family and I rarely get out this way but while doing some last-minute Christmas shopping we needed a quick lunch so Chick-fil-A to the rescue! My 6-year-old was disappointed to learn there was no playground, but I was secretly thankful that we could cut our lunch shorter that way and get on with our Christmas errands. We ordered all our usuals - spicy deluxe sandwiches, fries, and a kid's nugget meal. The young lady at the counter who took our order was seemingly new - she floundered when I asked for extra lettuce on my sandwich (which arrived with extra lettuce, but randomly no tomato...) and my husband specifically asked for a large drink and large fry on his meal, but realized while eating later that he only received a medium drink and fry. Despite those errors, our food was still enjoyable and did the job to fuel us for the next few hours of combatting the pre-Christmas crowds. read more

Nice spot next to in n out. Food was great as always and the service was great as well. I ordered through the app and they had my food ready in a couple of minutes. Seating area is really well laid in can be limited inside, read more

Always a pleasant experience coming to this Chik Fil A! Their employees are very nice, never had an issue with my orders and the speed in which you order to receiving your food regardless of how busy it is is excellent. Food is always fresh to me and I appreciate the speed when it comes to the concept of "fast food". I have since come to this location since construction was completely on the updated drive thru and it has definitely made things so much easier between mobile orders and regular drive thru customers! read more

Interior looked nice, for a fast food place. Customer service was great and food was fine. Good experience.

Got food here a while ago it was good but the part that was very weird was the employee who drives the black Chevy Silverado kept staring at me and my wife saying things towards us under his breath. Not sure what chick-fil-a standards are now but it's not that great. Thank you for making the evening very weird and I hope you deal with that teenager and hire people more professional. read more

Consistently great food! The fry's could be a little more crispy. The use of the app makes it so easy to get it and out with your order. The parking lot is always clean and free of thrown trash! read more

The new management and team here as of 6/11/2026 is absolutely outstanding! One particular team member, a blonde woman dressed in black pants and black white patterned shirt went above and beyond every time to check on customers. I've had better service here than going to a 5 star restaurant. Food was prepared perfectly, kids enjoyed their time and even noticed the kind courteous service. Great people working here! read more

Chick-fil-A - Fast Food Near Me - San Marcos, California

While I like chick fil A in general, but this has got to be one of the worst location. It's right next to a busy in n out. Then the car pick up area parking spot is like on the "main" street where there are 2 entrances that people enter in from Grand or San Marcos Blvd. So you park there to pick up and sometimes, you can't get out because the lines for Chick Fil A and in n out start building up. Plaza owners should ban a chick fil A and in n out from being in the same plaza and right next to each other. It's a car mess! Opposite side location is fine but this is literally right next to each other. I've gotten their chicken sandwich, breakfast sandwich's, nuggets and their grill chicken sandwich. Definitely skip the grill chicken sandwich as it was dry. Stick with the fried stuff. read more

This is the first Chick-Fil-A I have ever been to where the customer service was not reflective of the brand. Our Cashier was not friendly as well as the rest of the staff. We asked for a to -go bag but as my husband stood at the counter waiting patiently, several employees passed by and ignored him. Every-time we said thank you we didn't get a "my pleasure" or a "you're welcome". After we left we felt uncomfortable with the atmosphere as if we were bothering staff for giving our businesses. Will not be returning :( read more

Love, love Chik-Fil-A! I've been there several times for takeout and each experience has been great. They've never messed up my order. Food has always been nice and hot. Chicken is always crispy and well-seasoned. No complaints from me. I highly recommend. read more

The workers here are so nice and the on shift manager is so kind to everyone he meets! Very clean and quick service!

I love chickfla so much. I will not eat any other chicken anymore. The sit down area is usually fairly clean. The service is great I had many workers come up and ask if I needed anything. read more

I hadn't been here for six months, now I know why? Wow $17.24 for a chicken sandwich meal. This is getting crazy. I don't see these franchises being here in the next two years. You can't sustain this "lunch" meal for almost $20. As I was writing this my Jalapeño Spicy chicken meal showed up. What a rip-off, chicken was blah, the lettuce looked like it was sitting out for a day, the fries were absolutely cold. You guys should be closing up shop here soon. I'm done with over rated franchises. Canes at least for the price still blows you guys away. read more

I love the speed and the service however in regards to the service twice in the recent week I asked for no straws and instead of getting no straws I get two straws for one drink I don't know why it's so difficult but no straws means no straws. I don't like using and abusing and I don't believe in plastic straws. I thought that was the case for state, regardless I request no straws and I don't only get one but I get two, twice in one week. I particularly don't like is the big slices of tomato and big slices of lettuce I would rather have plenty of lettuce and plenty of tomatoes but in smaller pieces so when you take a bite you don't take the whole piece with you it'll be easier and edible plus less messy. Therefore enjoyable to eat with the same amount but in smaller biteable sizes. read more

I wanted to take a moment to give a huge shout-out to everyone working tonight. The level of service and attention they provide is outstanding. I love coming here, and even though I was a minute after hours, they still took care of me, which means a lot. When someone can deliver great service and hospitality, it really shows. SMALLEST TENDERS EVER! All the employees are great though. But the tenders are genuinely half the size at this location I'm confused.

Currently sitting in a very long, slow drive thru line while not a single car has used the mobile line. Did you really spend all that time and money for this? It's changed nothing. Very poorly thought out. read more

I can't express how disgusted I am I woke up this morning and picked up breakfast for my child and I and I asked for a water cup with ice to fill his water flask. When I went to go pour the water and his water flask. This is what I noticed I don't know what the hell it is, but it's definitely not water. It's like fuzzy I don't know what it is exactly but it's definitely disgusting and I think they need to look into this immediately because clearly it came from the water system. Definitely not a good morning lol read more

Used to be my favorite spot, but they remodeled to put in a mobile order only lane which has killed the flow and fast service!

Thank you to Chick-fil-A San Marcos for generously supporting our cheer team with a food donation! This is Chick-fil-A, so helpfully you already know what the food is all about -- simple tasty chicken sandwiches, tenders, shakes, and sides. I will say that the new(er) addition of the Mac n cheese is fantastic and with a try! We are never disappointed with a visit to Chic-fil-a! The reason I'm writing this review is actually just to highlight the amazingly consistent customer service at this location. Always friendly and engaging! On this particular visit Anna and Bernice were awesome at the end of the drive through chatting with us as we were waiting for the food. Five star service! read more

I love Chick-fil-A, but this location in San Marcos is one of the best! The food is always fresh and consistently good, and the staff are always so friendly and polite. I stopped in this morning for a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit, and Foster helped me with my order -- he was kind, sincere, and genuinely friendly. His customer service was next level! This location really sets the standard for how great Chick-fil-A can be. read more

I've never made a yelp review but I genuinely had to create one for this situation. I came around 1:50 on 10/20/25 and Heard a shorter brown haired possibly Hispanic girl who was "working" who was complaining to another coworker loud enough that I could hear, about how I put in ANOTHER order saying my name so I know for a fact it was about my order ; meanwhile I put in orders for my coworkers to have lunch and she had the audacity to do it in front of me someone in a light gray shirt I'm assuming the manager witnessed it I believe because we quickly went to her to tell her something. I don't get help people can complain about having to do their jobs the entitlement is insane and makes me not want to go to this location again. Like you're literally getting paid, to do this so the more food people buy the more likely you are to keep your job. Honestly she doesn't give a good rep to the "Happy" establishment because she seemed miserable. read more

Excellent service and food as always. Thank you so much for being a restaurant with integrity

Food and service good. But the remodel of the dine in suck. Inside area is really small nothing compared with the other chick fil a.

This is what $5.00 gets you Basically 1 strawberry and some baby fruit. I asked if they can at least fill up the cup. & their response was No.... Do better Chick-fil-A... will never get this poor excuse of fruit cup!!! read more

Back when I lived in San Marcos, I used to eat at this Chick-Fil-A. Since I only lived in San Marcos from 2015-2016, I don't have many fond memories of this place. But I do remember the food tasting good. The service is cool, because they are still in delivery range in my house, (this is still needed in case Encinitas Chick-Fil-A delivery glitches out) the ambiance of it is cool too, I like the freeway near it! Overall 10/10, when you feel like IN-N-OUT Nextdoor, which is probably never, then eat at this Chick-Fil-A! read more

Really good spicy south west salad. I always get the honey mustard dressing and a large fry. It's soo good. I come here weekly

Drive thru was super busy...plan to be here a while. No one was wearing masks except one female employee so I thanked her personally. Go girl! The food was alright but mentally I cannot get past the fact that this company is homophobic. Won't be returning. I can get just as good of food at Raising Cane's. read more

Henry Curran I think that's what his sweatshirt said. He was the cashier who took my order while I was at chikfila about a week ago. He just seemed rude and was like huffing and puffing while taking my order and he just seemed like he could be doing anything else but interacting with me. It was the weirdest interaction I've ever had with a chikfila employee at any restaurant. I made 2 separate orders while I was there and requested the orders be for there since I was ordering and eating inside. They brought both of my separate orders out in bags. So 1 the cashier wasn't even listening to me and 2 he was extremely rude. Don't know if I will be returning to this location again. read more
