At CFA you always know the food is going to be delicious! The reviews were not good for this location, so I wanted to make sure people know that this place is great. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean. My husband and I had the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich. I added tomato, lettuce, and pickles to mine. It was delicious! I walked up to the counter to get a drink refill and was greeted right away. The restroom was clean which is always a plus. Mr. Dallas Stoudenmire......This truly doesn't even deserve one star. Plz let me inform why. Yesterday morning I walked into your Chick-fil-A around 09:45-09:48, I left shortly after 10:07 am. I ordered what I thought was quite easy to understand, I ordered a " chicken, egg and cheese with bacon" substitute, American cheese with pepper jack, a unsweet tea, and a Greek parfait with granola. I have ordered this meal countless amount of times literally in the hundreds, but Mr. Dallas, sir, this was by far the worst experience I have had. now that you know what I ordered plz take a min to read what happened next, the staff was friendly the young lady behind the counter was doing OK and there is a manager standing aside to assist the young lady, the manager heard my meal, helped the young lady put it into the computer and I thought everything was good, I was given a sweet tea with a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, but it had American cheese, I walked back into the restaurant... stood in line and asked if they could fix the mistake, it was no big deal I understand mistakes happen, when I get back out to my vehicle. After receiving my second biscuit, I realize when I opened package up. All they did was add pepper jack... so now I had two different cheeses, and all I simply asked was for pepper jack., so I walked back into the restaurant a third time except this time I politely walked past the line to the register and spoke with a manager, the manager took my meal, threw it in the trash, and gave me another biscuit, except this time it had no bacon when the manager handed the biscuit back to the line cook the line cook had some words to say, I won't repeat them here. I understand that mistakes happen, but when your employees saw me come into the restaurant for a third time, they rolled her eyes and said oh great he's back again, what's he want now.?! that is not how you treat customers, especially when the order has come back to the customer wrong three times in a row. But it gets better. As I was standing in line, the second time I came into your chick-fil-a there was a elder lady who had ordered some type of hash brown bowl and she asked very nicely. Please don't put hashbrowns in the bowl. I cannot eat them, and the young lady behind the register said he you don't get the option of choosing, whether or not the hash browns come in the bowl they just come in it. I could not believe what I was hearing, the cashier, then turned around and asked I'm assuming was a manager ( wearing a light blue shirt) rolled her eyes as she heard the conversation they came over to the register tell the cashier to step aside, and then told the customer (the older lady) and I quote " we would have to give you a refund if you don't want hashbrowns in your bowl " and the elder lady said that is OK as long as there are no hashbrowns in my bowl, please and it proceeded to make that staff member upset. Mr. Stoudenmire, I have been going to Chick-fil-A for more than a decade just like a lot of other folks but not ever have I seen customers get treated in such a manner at a Chick-fil-A, I'm sorry, but your Hickory location is 100 % better staffed. Easy to get to, just off of interstate 40 and very quick service. This location has one of the largest parking lots I have seen at a Chick-fil-a. The employees as with all other Chick-fil-a's are super nice, respectful, and serve you with a smile on their face. read more

We are excited to have them back in Burke county after a multiyear absence. We went on the second day as the first was pure pandemonium! Even on the 2nd day it was crazy but they were well staffed and moved everyone through quickly. Amazingly I didn't see any errors on the orders during our hour there. I'm not one for writing bad reviews, but I've been disappointed by this place one too many times. Poor customer service and food quality that consistently fails to meet the standards of the franchise, makes this the worst Chick-fil-A in all of the Carolinas! I travel frequently from Asheville to Charlotte and Greenville, and can honestly say this is the most poorly operated location ever. I've given it too many chances, but they have done nothing to retain my business. I doubt they care about pleasing repeat customers because this is the only Chick-fil-A for 30 miles, so they will just rely on the next poor sucker to stumble off the interstate and into their shit hole establishment. The fact that they haven't acknowledged any of the other scathing yelp reviews further supports this theory. I have been to many chick-fil-a's all over the state of NC and this was by far the dirtiest now I've ever been in!!! They had flys on the windows, nasty hand prints and drink all over the walls and floor!!! They had more than enough people working to have someone in the dinning room cleaning something other than the table tops!!! There was fries and napkins all over the floor and under every table!! I had a a hard time finding a clean table to sit at as well. The trash was over flowing in the bathroom and there was urine in the floor. Let's be honest. This fast food chain is loved by many people including myself. Me and my family travel a lot so we visit lots of Chick-fil-As on the way ;) this one in particular is not the cleanest one I have visited but it's cleaner than most McDonald's. The food is the same as all Chick-fil-As. The service is good as always.but if they have more workers that work harder to clean then I'm sure they would go farther. This chick fil a is on point! I have had breakfast and lunch there on occasion, and I have to say the service is top notch. The gentlemen and young ladies that are stationed at the drive thru window run it with such grace and beauty as if it were a seasoned conductor unleashing his final performance at his very last show after a stellar career in which he overcame many hardships and will be likened to the others in the master class of his craft such as Bach and John Williams the guy who made the Star Wars theme song. They also never hold back on the sauce and follow up every single thank you no matter how trival with My Pleasure and a heart warming smile! As for the inside, I have only ever been through the drive thru, so I cannot accurately review the dining room experience. I will say though it does look very nice from my driver's seat at 5-10 Mph. I absolutely recommend this Chick fil A. The staff are friendly and they even come around and get your trash and refill your drinks for you.
