I visited the Chick-fil-A located at 1410 NW North River Dr to pick up an order and was extremely disappointed by the customer service I received. When I entered and informed a young female employee named Joycelyn (or Jocelyn) that I was there to pick up an order, she responded with clear nonchalance and dismissiveness, telling me, "You can wait on line with the rest of the people waiting." Immediately after, she and another employee began laughing. I also heard her mumble under her breath to her coworker, "what the f***." This behavior was shocking and completely inconsistent with the standard of friendliness and respect that Chick-fil-A is known for. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was observing her treat another Spanish-speaking customer immediately after me with noticeably more care, patience, and consideration. As a Black man, this interaction was surprising and disappointing. Regardless of intent, the lack of professionalism and respect was unacceptable. I hope management takes this seriously and provides additional training, because this experience does not reflect the brand values Chick-fil-A promotes. read more

I don't even know where to begin... Actually, yes I do. The beginning of my descent into poultry-flavored madness began at exactly 11:37 AM on a Tuesday -- a day now forever burned into my soul. I pulled into the drive-thru behind exactly three cars. Not bad, right? WRONG. I waited 14 minutes. FOURTEEN. I timed it. That's nearly a quarter of a Netflix episode. By the time I got to the window, my patience was thinner than the lettuce they dared to put on my sandwich. When I got to the speaker, a young man named Brayden had the audacity -- the audacity -- to say "Hi, how are you?" instead of just taking my order. I'm sorry, Brayden, are we friends? Do I look like I came here for therapy or a spicy deluxe with no pickles? I ordered the grilled nuggets for my gluten-sensitive emotional support chihuahua, Sir Biscuit. I said, and I quote, "Please make sure they're cut into bite-sized pieces for a small dog." You know what I got? NUGGETS. Regular. Uncut. Chunky. CHOKABLE. Sir Biscuit looked at me with betrayal in his eyes. Then I asked for extra sauces -- specifically two Chick-fil-A sauces, one Polynesian, and one ranch. What did they give me? One lonely ranch. ONE. Like I'm some sort of peasant. I demanded to speak to the manager. A woman named Tracy came out with the energy of someone who's been working hard all day and has no time for nonsense -- but I am nonsense, and I demand respect. I told her I didn't feel valued as a customer, and she said "I'm sorry you feel that way." UM EXCUSE ME??? That is not an apology -- that is a verbal slap in the face. Also, the floor inside was wet. Not wet enough to fall, but wet enough for me to almost fall and fantasize about a lawsuit. I'm watching you, Chick-fil-A. One slip and I own the building. Summary: Chicken? Dry. Customer service? TLDR: A Chick-fil-A is a Chick-fil-A LOL. Busy as always and it doesn't help that it's located near two huge healthcare systems, a court house, and a busy shopping center. The food didn't disappoint, I love myself a good 8-count chicken nugget meal with waffle fries, and a lemonade. However, one comment though, the waffle fries did seem a bit more on the well-done side (dryish) to say the least. Aside from that, everything food-wise was good. Almost all Chick-fil-As that you come across are well-oiled machines, they have it down to a science. This location was pretty cool in the sense that it was my first ever experience where there were essentially little food lockers and an actual section for the delivery option. I thought the sectioning would've made service more seamless, but it seems there are still some issues that need to be tweaked here and there. To elaborate on the above comment, it was just a little confusing. There are two sections for Mobile Pick Up and we stood at the one furthest right, because how does one know which of the two to stand near...that's right, you don't. LOL, because there was no guidance. Anywho, my cousin and I got our food, but my sister was still waiting. It was a bit strange especially since my cousin and sister placed their orders on the app before me. However, sometimes, I know that can happen so we didn't think too much about it. So, my cousin and I went to sit down first to claim our table in lunch rush hour and to eat since we didn't think it would take that much longer for my sister to get her food. I nearly finished my meal and my sister was STILL WAITING. So, finally, after another person got their food before her, she asked someone (but, you would also think that someone would see her standing there a while and check in on her to see why in the world she was waiting there for so long) and was directed to the lockers. She put the code in and voilá, there her food was! Overall, they need to consolidate those two pick up areas into one, because in short, it's TOO CONFUSING. And also, they need to update the app to advise whether to go to the lockers or counter because they announced some peoples' orders and others' orders were in the locker. If they have that feature, they should provide an option for people to choose how they'd like to receive their food: in-person or locker. Overall, they need some sort of consistency here. They've gotten a lot better with their wait times since they first opened and I still find myself coming here for lunch pretty often. There have have been a couple of times when they serve me sweetened tea instead of unsweetened tea, but that's about all I can complain about. On the flip side, they have offered free things within the app. Sometimes, it's for free delivery. Several times, I've gotten a free chicken sandwich just from accumulated reward points. Stopped in to pick up dinner last night after shopping at River Landing - very quick and efficient service! (In and out within 10 minutes). A very clean location with plenty of indoor seating. Their lines at checkout are very efficient with staff taking your order ahead of time to speed up the process. Conveniently located at the River Landing Shopping Center, steps away from waterfront views of the Miami River. (I'd recommend taking your food to-go and walking down to watch boats go by!) This morning, I ordered breakfast (Via the Chick Fil A app, whom uses doordash) at 9:54 AM. My original ETA was 10:35 AM, and the order was confirmed. Not sure by whom considering the manager I spoke with said there is no order by my name anywhere. They (The Restaurant) just never prepared or did anything with my order. Now, I'm on a mission to cancel it with which the restaurant was no help. Feel the absolute need to mention this is not the first time I've had problems with this particular CFA & either, not preparing & delivering the order at all, or sending the wrong order. I can understand that TECHNICALLY the order is not through them (Even though, it's their app), but offering no solution except to try to figure it out with doordash is subpar customer service for a "manager". Visited today for their soft opening, their official opening day is tomorrow. What a really nice facility really happy to see a Chick fil a in the city of Miami as most are located in the suburbs and not the biggest fan of the Miami Central location due to parking. However, the parking here is stress free in the River Landing parking garage which is free for the first two hours. Also, I'm told they will have curbside pickup starting next week. I ordered through uber eats and the first time a few months ago was a disaster. We ordered as a group at work - ordered 4 meals and only received a bag of 4 fries. Didn't get ANY of the sandwiches . It was an absolute mission to contact the store. Number online transferred me to like a complaint department who sent my information to the location and was contacted hours later regarding my order. You know - hours after our lunch break ended. Was a complete disappointment. Vowed to never order again but never say never right? This time I ordered only for myself and ordered a salad. Everything went well this time BUT beware that if you order Uber eats it does not allow you to modify your salad. I wanted no corn and no tomatoes on my Cobb but it gave no options to monitor/alter the salad. Just take it as it is I guess. I come to this chick fil a often and usually never have a problem. So, I ordered on the app for a carry out order and when I got to the restaurant everything was a complete disaster. I understand the lunch rush can be crazy (especially at a popular place like chick fil a) but I don't understand how employees can be so rude and gaslight a customer even though they are in wrong. I ordered 3 meals with drinks and 1 shake. I only received 3 drinks and the employee helping me, Belkis, kept saying I was wrong. She even printed out the receipt to "show me" that only 3 drinks were ordered. I proceeded to tell her, and show her on the same receipt SHE PRINTED that there was 4 drinks in the order (she even gave me 4 straws) but she continued to argue with me that there was not 4 drinks. On top of that the food was given wrong and had to be remade. At the end she didn't help me with my issue and was completely rude about it. Like i said lunch rushes can are hectic but I don't believe that employees should argue with customers when everything is printed out on receipts and she was reading the receipt that she printed out herself wrong.
