Rusty Axe is much larger than I expected and more of a restaurant feel to it than brewery feel. The restaurant itself is very nice. I sat at the bar and got me a flight and a pizza. I was really looking forward to trying their Dr Pepper BBQ brisket pizza but unfortunately, they were out. I ordered a Margherita instead and it was pretty good. The pizza oven (i believe wood fired) was in full view from the bar. They have about 12 beers on tap and a few seltzers. I got a coconut stout, 2 IPA's and a Kolsch. All of them were good but the Hoosier Hazy was probably my favorite. Cool place, good beer and I would definitely stop in again if I were in the area. I just hope next time they have the brisket pizza!

Once we reached the front of the line, the young lady behind the counter greeted us right away, took our order, and handed us our cups. The drink station was clean and stocked with a good selection. We grabbed a table--both the tables and floors were clean--and within about 10 minutes our food arrived. I ordered the French Toast Combo, which came with four slices of French toast, two eggs, sausage, and seasoned potatoes. The meal came out on two plates, and everything was spot on. The French toast had a perfect light crunch on the outside while staying pillowy soft inside. The scrambled eggs and sausage were solid, and the seasoned potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside. My wife ordered the Breakfast BLT--bacon, lettuce, tomato, fried egg, and Duke's mayo. She added a little hot sauce and absolutely loved it. Not a crumb left! She liked it so much that we also picked up a tub of their chicken salad to take home, and it was delicious later that day--no complaints at all. We'll definitely be back to Roost to try more of their menu!

I placed my order to go, and it was ready right on time when I arrived, which made the experience even better. First and foremost, that strawberry cake still has my heart. It is consistently moist, perfectly sweet, and has just the right amount of icing. I'm usually a "Pick Two" kind of person because I love having smaller portions and more variety. On this visit, I paired a Caesar salad with a Newk's Q, and it was exactly what I remembered. The Caesar salad came with a flavorful dressing, and the sauce on the Newk's Q remains my favorite part of the sandwich. It's just so good. Overall, this meal felt like reconnecting with an old friend. Sometimes revisiting a favorite spot can be disappointing, but this visit delivered all the familiar flavors I had been missing. Safe to say, I won't be waiting so long before my next visit.

The place has a busy drive-thru business and the inside seating area is also very busy at lunch time. The food is really good and the staff is very accommodating.
