    Straight out of the bag

All I can say is yall need to learn how to fill up a large fry because I am a paying customer and yall know yall are too overpriced to be giving half full large fries. I expect better from a place with such "high standards". At least you know how to put the sauce in the bag.

On my last visit I had a pleasant surprise. They mistakenly gave me someone else's order. The order was a bigger $$ than mine. When I called Chik-Fil-A they took my name & told me my meal will be waiting next time I visit. I did not believe it at first. The next time I visited I asked about it & they gave me my past order. A pleasant surprise. If you want a great tasting & fresh sandwich for lunch, for me, nothing beats the Grilled Chicken sandwich at Chik-Fil-A. Other favorites are the Chicken Noodle Soup & kale salad. The soup is thick with chicken pieces & noodles. The Kale salad with a light lemony taste is sooo good. Everything I've ordered have been satisfying and I keep coming back. There's no indoor dining just orders to go. The app is easy to use & you can accumulate points to redeem. If you can handle the crazy car line Chik-Fil-A is consistent, tasty, healthy & great customer service. It's my regular go to place.

Every other Chick-fil-A has the drive thru and customer service down pat, except THIS location. Finally they've gotten the drive thru a little in order, where mobile orders are on the outside and the drive thru is on the inside, that way the workers don't have to walk across the mobile line and wait for the traffic to clear to give guest their food. It wasn't the numerous times that I've gotten my food straight from the kitchen and the food is lukewarm, no. What really got me today, was the 8 count nugget I got. They really had the audacity to cut my 7th nugget in half to make two smaller nuggets. This CFA continues to disappoint not only guests, but the workers too when they aren't getting the proper training. Please do better!

    Always busy Chick-Fil-A!

The place is nice inside, welcoming and selling some cool things alongside the food items. We both had a platter, one with falafels and the other with the marinaded chicken. They played had incredible salad and a red cabbage salad. Both were excellent! The bread was sold and warm and very fresh too. Then there was some white rice included and it was delicious too! It was jasmine rice and very tasty. We will have more items in future visits. Also, the platters came with a cup of their lentil soup, which for us was slightly different as it must have been made with tomatoes. Stop here and give them a try. You will love it!

My usual go-to will be to start with the Shepherd Salad and one of the Shish Kabob or Gyro platters which comes with your choice of shish or gyro meat, rice, salad, and some kind of carrot or cabbage drizzled with an olive oil mix dressing. Just delicious and hits the spot every time. I've eaten at Bodrum a handful of times, but have ordered for delivery probably a bit more and everything is just as good as if you are sitting right there in the restaurant. However, I do love eating in because the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful with the owners not leaving out one detail to make diners feel right at home. We are so lucky to have such a wide swatch of Mediterranean restaurants throughout Jacksonville. Bodrum is right there at the top.

Our visit to Biscottis in Jacksonville's Avondale neighborhood managed to do both. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and seated immediately, and the atmosphere had a welcoming energy that made the restaurant feel like a true neighborhood gathering place. Susan ordered the Quiche Lorraine, and after the first bite we both knew it was something special. The crust was delicate and buttery while the filling was rich and perfectly balanced. It was so impressive that we awarded it our Culinary Duo Best of the Best dish recognition, which is something we reserve for truly standout dishes. Peter went in a different direction and ordered the Sweet Potato Pancakes with house made white cheddar hash browns. The pancakes were flavorful and comforting, and the hash browns were crispy with bold cheddar flavor that made them impossible to stop eating. Another thing we appreciated was learning that Biscottis carries the Slow Food First Coast Snail of Approval, recognizing restaurants that support sustainable agriculture and local food traditions. The service throughout the visit was cheerful and attentive, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. If you enjoy restaurants that combine great brunch dishes, incredible desserts, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere, Biscottis is definitely worth visiting.

Pretentious and overrated…read more I wanted to like this place - it has such a hype. But the food is terrible. The burger is greasy/wet, it is drenched in a bland cheese sauce, the meat is underseasoned, and the patty has no sear. Definitely not worth anything near the $21 cost. The salmon BLT is served on bread that is cut so thick you're mostly just eating old/stale bread, and the sandwich is also greasy. Their french fries come drenched in a disgusting garlic oil and cheap grated parmesan. It's bad cooking dressed up to look fancy without any understanding of the basics. The restaurant fits as well. Its ugly artwork is accompanied by furniture that looks like it was ripped out of a Le Pain Quotidien. The cakes look amazing, and the bar is nicely designed and well stocked, but neither saves the drab surrealist-cafeteria vibe of this pretentious establishment.

Ultimately, I decided to sample the bacon, egg, and cheese wrap. It was quite good. I believe they used a cheddar that was a bit strong for my taste and would have preferred some milder cheese options (like provolone). Regardless, it was tasty. My only complaint (and this may be specific to me) is that they did not have a cola flavored diet drink to offer. Yes, I admit, I need my Diet Coke with my meal. So, I had to walk around the corner and find a place to sell me a soda. Other than that, a great option for a meal.
