A seemingly simple order.
Shelby G.

Worst Chick-fil-a experience. Just came home from sitting for 30 minutes waiting for our food after we had ordered and pulled ahead because they needed time to remove the egg from my salad. Finally the sandwich and Cobb salad (without egg) we ordered were brought out and there was no chicken on the salad (which comes standard) and the dressing was already open. We took the salad back to inquire about the chicken/toss the open dressing packet. Received a replacement with the incorrect dressing and egg back on the salad. I asked for one modification and it turned into chaos. Might seem like I'm complaining, but I'm now hangry and feel like it's not too much to ask to receive what I'm paying for. This is not the first poor experience I've had here so I would definitely not recommend.

A bug in drink of my special needs son
Darul H.

Sad you go to these places and expect utmost service and care in handling your food and drink. My wife went to taste my son sweet tea after he drank some when she removed the lid as not to sip on his straw she's discovers this bug floating in the drink. Customers check your drinks here and check your food. This now has me nervous anywhere I go and sad because if my wife hadn't opened it to drink it she would have never discovered this and my son with no clear understanding of what this is would have swallowed and ingested this it knowing what germs or infections could come from it. Do better, to quick to make money, and not taking the time to care about the ones giving it to you.

Go Farmer Franco! Sustainabili-o!

I love a good story and Chick-Fil-A's delicious coffee is farmer-direct with a story. Check it out: coffeewithastory.com. Chick-Fil-A seems to care about sustainable sourcing which earns extra stars in my book. I enjoyed reading my coffee cup about a fourth-generation Costa Rican farmer named Franco Garbanzo. No, I didn't just make that name up and I will post a picture of it for you Doubting Thomases. I imagined that with a name like Franco Garbanzo he could be a hero in children's storybook. Go Farmer Franco! Sustainabili-o! (Now that word I *did* just make up). Anyway, I stumbled onto breakfast at Chick-Fil-A and found HOT whole grain oatmeal that was perfectly prepared. You have the option of adding brown sugar and cinnamon from a separate packet provided with your meal but with the sweet little extra toppings you may find that you don't want to add sugar. The oatmeal comes with a small packet of mixed nuts, and a small packet of dried fruit so you can add either one or both. I ordered the oatmeal meal deal which includes a small coffee, whole grain oatmeal, and a side of fresh fruit including blueberries, apples, and mandarin oranges. Seven dollars later, I had a cup of hot oatmeal, a cup of fresh fruit, and a cup of Thr!ve coffee displaying a sketch and bio of the ruggedly handsome Farmer Franco Garbanzo. It was worth it.

This is the short summary: Don't go, this place is infested with cockroaches see pics. Complete…read morereview: I came here with my whole family and my in laws on Saturday. I am Peruvian and I've eaten at the Mi Peru restaurant in Durham a few times and I always liked it, it was too far for me though. Once I found out another Mi Peru opened closer I had to try it. For starters the strip mall where it is located is not the nicest location. The restaurant itself feels a bit old and not very clean. I was about to leave but I decided to take a chance. We ordered a few dishes to share: ceviche, chicharron de pescado, arroz chaufa, aji de gallina and seco de res. And even desserts : Alfajor, tres leches and crema volteada. Food overall wasn't bad, I actually liked it, it wasn't amazing but not bad at all. The service on the other hand was terrible, there was a young guy and a young girl who had no idea how to wait tables, we were missing silverware, we had to ask for plates and glasses, .... That duo was a mess. They seemed too occupied flirting with each other than caring for the 2 tables that were occupied. Anyhow, when we got to bill I noticed that an 18% tip was mandatory !! 18 % for the terrible service I had received, that was really unfair. I paid over $180 for 5 adults and 2 kids and terrible service. Up until that point I was determined to leave and just give this place 3 stars . But then I decided to go to the bathroom and on my way to the bathroom there was a cockroach in the hallway, that was disgusting so I moved quickly into the bathroom. Inside the bathroom under the sink there was another cockroach !!! I almost threw up wondering how many cockroaches are probably running around in the kitchen!!! It is sad for me to post this as a Peruvian but I care more about the safety of the people and the reputation of the Peruvian food. My advice to the owners of Mi Peru.( the original ) which I respect. Don't destroy your brand, close the restaurant and fumigate it completely, then remodel it, clean it, hire better waiters and then reopen. Or pick a nicer location if possible. I am not coming back and will advise everyone I know not to go either.

Their sides were good as well, I had the plantains and will be getting those every time! The service was attentive, patient, and really friendly as I was a first time customer so that was much appreciated! Overall, I highly recommend this spot for any newcomers wanting to try something new or anyone who loves Peruvian food! I'll definitely be coming back!

Inside, the restaurant has a setup similar to Chipotle, but more with a Peruvian style feel. To order you walk up to the counter to place your order. I ordered the 1/4 chicken combo which comes with two sides. For the chicken you can choose dark or meat. For the sides I chose the corn (which was a bit undercooked) and rice. The chicken was good but it reminded me a bit of higher quality rotisserie chicken you might pick up from the store. My biggest hesitation is probably the value for the price. The 1/4 chicken meal portion feels a little expensive for the size. The daily specials seem like the better value since they also come with a drink. My partner ordered the daily special chicken tacos. They arrived cold and were covered with more raw onions then we personally prefer. The standout for both of us was the green sauce and you could add this to anything to make it taste good. Overall I'd still consider giving it another try if I'm even in a pinch and am looking for a good chicken meal.

Came after camp around 2:30 on a Sunday. Not super crowded and much different ambience than I was expecting. Ordered and split the 3 piece supremes dinner and asked for a bo-berry biscuit and a cheer wine (first time trying both) This place is great! Being from California, we don't have these anywhere near us and it's a crime, the chicken here is fine. Probably similar to a Popeyes, but the fries are maybe the best fries I've ever had. Both kinds of biscuits, the Bo-Berry and the regular Biscuits are fantastic. The berry one is almost like a cake/scone and the biscuit is a regular dinner biscuit but it's so buttery and fluffy. really great stuff. The cheer wine was basically cherry coke but not mad at it at all Overall, pretty freaking good. Pissed that I get to have this now and will maybe never have it again. Try it out 4.25/5

I ORDERED and paid for TWO WHITE pieces of chicken and a PICNIC sized Pinto Beans. After paying for my order I realized that I wanted to add a tea .The Cashier said that I could have it for free .Which I thought was exceptionally nice and good marketing and made a mental note to favor this location in the future . They first brought me a regular size pinto beans .When I pointed out I had ordered a Picnic size I was brought another small size and told the two of them equal a Picnic size ( No it is not .Two small containers of beans equals 1/2 a picnic size ). I decided to overlook this because " Free tea"!) Then I got home and saw that while I had paid extra for two white pieces of chicken I had been given a dark and a white . One of the pinto bean bowls had been SCRAPED out of a canister and contained inedible PINTO SLUDGE. The biscuit and the tea were good . I am writing this in detail in hopes that some manager sees this and can correct what is going on at this location .Frpm my observation it appeared that no one was keeping up with what food was needed until AFTER they ran out. Again a happy acting group but they need better management.

This place has become a staple for us since moving to Raleigh. We got hooked on pollo a la brasa…read morewhen we lived in the DC area, where great Peruvian chicken spots are everywhere, and I was genuinely excited to discover that Alpaca exists here--and has grown into a solid local chain. I've also heard they're family-owned, which makes me like them even more. The chicken is absolutely awesome--consistently flavorful, juicy, and exactly what you want when you're craving Peruvian charcoal chicken. The sides are good across the board, though I'd love to see arroz chaufa added as a side option someday. The yellow and green sauces slap, and the fact that they carry Inca Kola is a huge win. Price-wise, it's fair--not cheap, but reasonable for the quality. What keeps this location from a full 5 stars is the service consistency. Sometimes it's great: order through the app, pick it up, everything is correct. Other times... not so much. There have been multiple occasions where items were missing because the kids behind the counter seemed more focused on things that weren't work-related. I get it--I was that age once--but at the very least, orders should match what prints out or shows up on the screen. There's nothing more frustrating than paying for food you don't receive, and when you point it out, getting the confused "huh?" look. It's not the end of the world, but it is annoying--especially since this isn't exactly bargain-basement pricing. Final thought: Clean up the service consistency issues at this location and you're instantly 5 stars. The food is already there.

I love their chicken, and their fried rice dish (Arroz Chaufa) . However this time around I tried…read moretheir grilled steak strips (Lomo Saltado).
