Horrible service. There was not a lot of vehicles in the drive-thru, still waited 20 min. Almost bit into this uncooked nugget. Waste of time & money.

Haven't eaten at this location in quite some time; however, it is still my favorite out of all the CFA's I eat at. There were two faces I recognized, one of whom I remembered by name. Even though he probably didn't remember me, he was cordial and friendly enough to visit with me for a few moments. Could tell the lobby eating area had gone through a few changes. Fewer tables and the ordering line cordons have disappeared. Probably for the better. Who knows?! Overall, the place is exactly as I remember it with a clean and well-maintained operation throughout. The food was as good as ever as well. I ordered the #2 meal with unsweet tea. Delicious! Don't pass by an opportunity to eat at this CFA location. You won't regret the experience.

Fresh chicken on a fresh salad! Hits the spot...a favorite!!!

Reading the other reviews....OMG...you have to wait in line when 25 other cars full of folks decide they want Chick-Fil-A at about the same time you do so your review is 1 star??? Go across the street (or down the street) to one of the other three ghetto chicken places (all of which frankly SUCK...food and service wise) that grace this part of town. I am SURE the wait is less... I LOVE this Chick-fil-A....and yes I wait in a sometimes long line (which IMO moves pretty darned quick!) The quality of the food is always consistently high...the kids working there are respectful and courteous...and you can see they have someone checking all orders before they go out the window! LOL...try that at one of your other chicken meccas located on Alta Mesa!!! Yea, so not happening. I am a HUGE fan of Chick-Fil-A and we are fortunate to have them...be just a little patient and understand...you are in that line BECAUSE you like the food...

I live 7 minutes from this chick fil a location on Alta mesa 18 years...now this location is just getting worse. I drive all the way out to the location on Hulen and i30 because they are clean and hot fresh food every time. Here at Alta Mesa the food is always wrong and warm...the place is a mess with trash overflowing from the trash cans all the tables are dirty and the floors and glass windows are filthy. I came I today hoping that after not coming here in a good while maybe it had improved but I was wrong. It was not busy when I came in at 5pm all the employees were sitting near the restrooms instead of cleaning up the place like they supposed to do. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Picking some the mandarin oranges and blueberries out to rinse and put in my own bowl and I am surprised by corn kernels.

Everyone's different, not saying they were bad. Just different. And the Mac was not my favorite. Once I saw they pour the bag of Mac n cheese in a heater. Then I was like ahh. I just figured it would be home made like the pies and chicken. Our waiter was sweet and we even had dessert. Recommend the chocolate pie warmed with ice cream. Love. Definitely not too bad. Will come back again. And try different sides.

The chicken itself was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with that signature seasoning that keeps you coming back for more. But let me tell you--the fried pickles are hands down my absolute favorite! Perfectly crispy, not greasy at all, and served hot with that irresistible crunch. I could honestly order those alone and be happy. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, and the service matched the quality of the food--friendly, fast, and attentive. If you're craving real, flavorful fried chicken with a kick, Gus's is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back!

They are still on the DL, so please continue to spread the word and support this lovely small business! EVERYTHING WAS MADE AND DONE WITH SUCH LOVE!! Mary Sue taught these workers well. Order was piping hot. They definitely cook as they go and don't let the food sit under a heat lamp. Tbh, the food was on the spicier side, so if you have a superrrr low spice tolerance like me, try to get extra ranch instead of Mary's signature sauce to balance it out. Chicken and pickle on a stick was a fun and new twist to try! I don't like pickles but my friend said it was good and would buy again. She said the pickles tasted like they make them in house (fresh!!). Not a bad price either ($4.99 I think.. might've been $6.99). Dough boys were yummy! A good glazed donut without the taste of fried oil. If I was craving sugary bread, this is the best dessert to soothe it. The regular roll that comes in the box is truly yummy as well. I got the peach sweet tea and boy it was indeed a true Texas sweet tea. SWEEET!! Delicious. The turn into the restaurant is quite a sharp turn and easy to miss, so slow down so you don't pass it.

From the outside, I expected it to be a smaller spot, but it was actually much bigger than I thought. Everything inside was clean, and even though there were a few people ahead of us in line, the process was simple--you order first, then grab your food and find a table. The cashier who helped us was super nice, which made the experience even better. We both ordered lemonade teas--one peach and one watermelon--and they were honestly a 10/10. Not too sweet, more on the tangy side, which I loved. It wasn't overly crowded--maybe around 10-12 people inside, with a couple more eating outside--so it felt comfortable. We ordered the chicken with the sweet spicy flavor, along with fries, mac and cheese, pickle sticks, and rolls. Everything came out fresh and tasted really good. There was about a 10-15 minute wait, but that's expected for fresh food and totally worth it. The presentation was great, and overall the food hit. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the dough babies, they were a little too thick for me, just a bit too much bread, although the flavor itself was still good. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

Typically, I rate based on several visits to get an overall picture of the place, but I will bypass the rule if the experience was exceptional (#1). Mike's was downright excellent. I ate the food warm and I ate it cold, and I'm still thinking about it. I tried to save some time by ordering online and also bypass any potential lines. Thankfully, there were none when I arrived, but a very full house of happy eaters despite being well past primetime lunch hours. The staff was friendly in the front but fielding many orders at the same time. I missed the literal pick up window outside, but was happy to get a gander of what it looks like inside. There's plenty of seating for groups and the place seemed a lot cleaner than the divey narratives folks emphasized. Prices were not astronomical, as I paid $14 and $13 for an order of 4 tenders + 2 sides, as well as 2 wings and 2 sides. The tenders were nothing like a Raising Cane's with skimpy portions and high price tags, instead it was plump, crispy, and perfectly fried. The accompanying sauces (Mike's sauce + buffalo sauce) were excellent additions and complimented the crispy fries. I was extremely impressed with the mac & cheese and very flavorful, mashed potatoes and gravy. The wings were no different: soft exterior with a nice crunch, meaty chunks off the bone, and wasn't too greasy. While the green beans weren't the most memorable side, the creamy corn was strangely addicting. Next time, I'm ordering the sides separately and in a large. I can only hope the other locations are just as good and will make good effort to visit them all. It's a rare occasion to be this infatuated with a place, but I'm confident it will be the first on my return list when I'm back in Dallas again. ___________ (#1) Or exceptionally bad.

Bro, plumbing is confusing). Naturally, I had to ask AI where to get the absolute best fried chicken in Dallas, and it sent me here. Ordering online was super easy, though I wished the menu had pictures because I like to see what I'm getting. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got the text that it was ready. The parking lot is tiny. If you drive a big truck, be prepared to maneuver like a pro if it's packed. Inside was busy, but there was zero heavy grease smell lingering in the air. You could easily grab lunch here and go about your day without smelling like a literal fryer. Plus, the crowd was surprisingly chill. Nobody gave off that chaotic, sketch energy you get at a KFC or Wingstop where you feel like you have to lock your truck doors three times just to walk inside safely. It's a really calm environment, which is awesome if you hate loud crowds. Pickup took less than 5 minutes. After a 15-minute drive home, the chicken was still loud-crunchy and insanely crispy. Puts fast-food chains to absolute shame. Fair warning: my first drumstick was a massive sodium bomb that almost made me rage quit and leave a two star review. But I was so hungry, so a quick drink later, piece number two and on were absolute perfection: juicy, meaty, and flawlessly seasoned. So that first piece of chicken just was coated in not-fully-mixed-well seasoning batter or something like that. I am officially obsessed. Come September when bulking season hits, I'm literally going to live here.
