My husband and I both ordered a whiting po' boy sandwich and it was perfect. Great price for the size sandwhich it is! I have no complaints with the amount of fish on that sandwhich Fresh lettuce, tomatoes... fish was perfectly fried hard as requested. Good batter! Flour based. Because that matters. The bread was the perfect compliment as it was soft and the perfect size for this sandwhich! The customer service was good and a pleasant change. The young ladies were welcoming, helpful, and professional! It's a very welcoming environment. I will definetly go back and try some more whiting.

Yo girl been trying to eat a little healthier and was looking for some baked or grill fish. This restaurant did deliver. The grill tilapia and broccoli was pretty good. The portion size was on point. My son wanted their crab cake burger which I had to taste and it was delicious. They offer mumbo sauce with their fries and it is banging. Got a nice little kick to it. The corn on the cob is so so. Its not bad but I just had better. Its too greasy for corn on the cob too. So confused about that. Any who, I spent $40 for everything which was reasonable for 2 meals. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. The cashiers here are super friendly which is always appreciated because its seems like people are losing basic manners. So thanks ladies for your kindness it didnt go unnoticed. Would I recommend this restaurant, yeah I would. Its not spectacular but its pretty good and you get enough food for the price. That itself is worth it. So go and visit so we can keep restaurants like this open in our community.

The spice and flavor is not just on the skin, like some Peruvian spots around but in the meat as well. You have to try yucca fries! It's a great add-on side to your meal. The Plantains are really good too. The menu is expansive with lots of options....where your meal never gets dull. My go-to's by far are the Grilled Lamb, Carne Asada Steak, Lomo Saltado and of, course....the Chicken! It's what they are know for. Not to mention, they offer a well-rounded selection of vegetables and sides to complement your meal. Too many to name here but trust me, if you're looking to keep your meals and "fast food" healthy....this is your place! The dessert is also really good. The thin sliced cookies has the texture of Mexican wedding cake (some Wholefoods carry them....but can't compare....they are all TOO sweet. Sardis' is perfecta and authentic. The Rice pudding with cinnamon deserves an honorable mention and worth a try as well. In all, you can't go wrong with the food and healthy options at the place. The food is great, fresh and the grilled/specialty menu items are always made to order. Wish they had a Sardis in the NW DC area. I definitely would have this place on reapers! The 2 people that work here that day were extremely nice and accommodating. I had the taste for some BBQ chicken and didnt feel like cooking that day. Although bbq chicken isn't on the menu, they worked with me and made for me. I appreciate that very much. I ordered a 10 count of wings. However, they shorted me one wing. Lol no biggie because Its just one wing. Could have been a mistake. Who knows. That wasn't the biggest downside. The bake bean and green beans were delicious I loved everything including the BBQ wings. So my 9 wings and 2 sides came up to 20 dollars and something. Not bad at all considering my son and I shared this meal and felt completely satisfied after eating it. In this economy, every coin counts. Now, the biggest problem I had when visiting this establishment is that, the smell of unrine was heavy. They did have a sign on the front door " No public bathrooms". I could only assume that there was a problem with the restroom they had. But my God, that smell was a huge turnoff. If I wasn't in a crunch to get dinner for my son, I would have walked out the door in disgust because of that smell. They definitely receive grace this time but if this is a on going problem, it really should be address. Because yuck...Who wants to smell urine when picking up their food.

The booking and execution went smoothly and without a hitch. This restaurant has been in Clinton for decades and is well known in the area but this is the first time I've personally been there. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant at a more private larger dining area. We realized that some of the staff came in early to accommodate our time because the restaurant wasn't even open for business yet. We were impressed by this. The menu was the typical Italian with calamari, bread, spaghetti, lasagna and the like dishes. As I said previously this restaurant has been in Clinton for years and the decor shows that. It's not really modern but hey maybe that's the appeal. For a slightly larger party they only took one check which was a bit of an inconvenience but we knew before hand and made adjustments. They did allow every one to pay for the alcoholic beverages separately. I would definitely go again. This is a very welcoming cozy Clinton landmark.

We had a really great server and an even more exceptional manager who walked around to ensure all the patrons were having a good experience. I had a spaghetti dish and my aunt had salmon. Unfortunately the food was incredibly bland or over salted. There were definitely some issues with seasoning. I hate to leave this review because I thought the service was impeccable but I wasn't sure how to tell the waiter that the food wasn't great and we were afraid to ask for something else that may fall short of expectations. Either way, I may visit in the future as I hope it was a one off, but not anytime soon unfortunately.

There were different types of tables/seating to choose from and everyone seemed to be smiling and in a good mood. They were playing a mix of R&B that included T-Pain, Snoh Allegra, Musiq Soulchild, and Bruno Mars to name a few. They had beautiful paintings of various influential figures in Black art and culture on the walls, and upcoming events shown on a screen behind the bar which I especially appreciated (They have karaoke on Thursdays!) There was also a band set up in the front, and I instantly made a mental note to return for the live music. - I ordered the iced "LCD" latte to drink and the Avocado Smash for a quick bite. I really enjoyed the LCD. I'd consider it to be more lavender forward but I love floral/herby flavored coffee drinks so I was absolutely okay with that. My avocado toast was pretty good and reasonably priced at $12 - There is an easy, laid back vibe so I don't recommend visiting when in a rush. Mix and Mingle is absolutely a place where you want to stay awhile, and I look forward to visiting again

It took a little while before I was greeted, and I feel like they could have been a bit more welcoming and upbeat. I ordered a medium Americano. The cup was fairly large (probably around 12-16 oz), but when I asked how many shots of espresso were in it, I was told just one. Unfortunately, the coffee tasted very watered down. For a cup that size, I think two shots would have made a much better Americano. They did offer to add an extra shot, which I appreciated, but I think the espresso-to-water ratio could definitely be adjusted. With such a cute atmosphere, improving the coffee and making the service a little more energetic would really elevate the experience!
