When I called to tell them that they left the cookies out of the order, they put the manager on the phone and she suggested we come back to the store to pick up two cookies. It was raining and I really didn't want to get out again so I just wanted a credit on my card. The manager said they had no way to do that but they would put my name on a list and we could just ask for two cookies the next time we came in. They have no way of putting a credit on a card, or do they just not know how to do so?

I received a text that my order was ready and someone would be out shortly with my food. I then received another text that my order did not go through. The manager (Kendrick) comes to my car and apologizes. He then says he could put through my order and asks for my credit card and says he cannot give it to me for free. I NEVER ASKED FOR ANYTHING FREE! He says he has my order details and says it should be about 5-7 minutes. He comes out again and one of my items is unavailable. I said forget the whole thing and got my card back. This jerk manager wouldn't even give me my "free" birthday cookie. I guarantee you if I were white this white manager would have offered some kind of compensation. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!

I went to Vila Brazil in Cedar Hill and had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Jack…read more It was my son's 18th birthday and we were a party of 12. When I tell you that Jack was an amazing host, that is an understatement. I felt like I was in his home and we were his guests, with an invitation to stay as long as we wanted. So much so that my 94 year old grandmother, who hardly ever goes out and is in a wheelchair, wants to go back for another experience. That says a lot! The food was better than good and honestly, it was not like any churrasco we have had in the area. The funny thing is that our union hosted an event at Vila Brazil in Irving and also at Fogo de Chão, and neither of those experiences compared to the level of service and quality of food that we had tonight. So how could two restaurants that are supposed to be the same be so different? If I had to guess....I would say it was Jack and his staff. There was something about the way we were treated tonight that made us feel like family. Jack was attentive, welcoming, and made sure our entire party was taken care of. It was not just good service. It was genuine hospitality. Keep up the good work, Jack, and please do not stop treating every customer like family. You made my son's 18th birthday special, and you gave my grandmother an experience that she enjoyed so much that she already wants to come back. That speaks volumes. Thank you, Jack, and your entire staff. We will definitely be back for my sister's birthday!

I can't tell if they changed the recipe or if I somehow never noticed before, but either way, it's a no-go for me. Overall, this spot is still definitely worth experiencing...maybe just bring your own BBQ sauce.

The server was taking care of other tables but greeted us pretty quickly. The server brought our water and sweet tea along with rolls. Time to order! We ordered the brisket queso (brisket on the side) as an appetizer. The hubby ordered pork chop plate with cinnamon apples, Mac n' cheese and corn. He thought it was all tasty. I ordered the veggie plate. Salad with red vinaigrette - it was fresh. Sweet potato - I didn't realize it came with cinnamon and sweet butter. I would have asked for it plain. I just scraped off and it was good. The squash casserole wasn't very tasty. The broccoli was perfect. The cinnamon apples were good. I also ordered the black-eyed peas. It came with bacon. I passed on these. No dessert. We were stuffed. The ambiance was nice. Light country music was playing and both patrons in the booths by us were singing along. We will be back to try the daily specials. $$
