    Lavender & Honey coffee

Stopped by Mudhook for a pre-New Year's Eve afternoon, and while the place has potential, it fell short in a few areas. They do offer Happy Hour, but the food selection is very limited with only four items. I tried the half-order beef nachos (topped with onion and tomato). They weren't terrible, but they lacked flavor and didn't really give nachos vibes. I wouldn't order them again. Next were the Happy Hour beef sliders--cooked well, but again, needed more seasoning. The standout were the Boneless buffalo wings. They were actually good and the highlight of the food . For drinks, I had the Lavender & Honey coffee. It was okay, nothing memorable. Overall, before giving a full stamp of approval, I'd need to revisit and see if things improve. The potential is there but it just hasn't fully landed yet.

Second time trying them out, first time we had their burgers and wings which were amazing. Got the truffle fries which I personally didn't like should have just gotten regular fries. This time just went for some drinks, good strong drinks and got their 3 dips appetizer, the guacamole and queso are amazing but the salsa is not good at all. Very polite and attentive servers and the restaurant has a very welcoming feel to it.

The food was the star for me as I ordered well with the chicken and waffles. The service was top notch though I was mad I over tipped because I was not paying attention but I guess God used me for someone else. The ambiance was chill and good for groups or personal seating.

If you are into small sports bars with outdoor patios, then this is for you. There are tvs on the walls with the games on. It's a bit loud, which is expected so be mindful if loud isn't your jam. I'm curious about the coffee bar they offer during breakfast hours. Now onto the food and service. We weren't greeted, but that's whatever. We found a waitress and were told sit wherever you like. That's fine too. The area we chose to sit in had unfortunately not been cleaned well. Tables (with children and large parties) were still with mess and dishes. Crumbs, crayons and trash was on the floor. Clean up seemed a bit slow. The waitress was pretty prompt on attending to our table. Can't recall if she repeated it back but we pointed to the items as it was loud. Drinks come-correct! Wings-not correct. My food came-grey course hair upon the paper. Waitress corrected both issues. A man (who didn't introduce himself) came to the table asking how everything was. I had to ask/guess who he was. Still no acknowledgment of the situation unless no one told him. (He has gray course beard hair) i mention to him about the hair and i received a seemingly joking "haha ya i heard about that. Sorry about that." Nothing was compt'd. So do with that what you will. The crowd was cool. Food was fine but nothing i would hype up to try. Maybe I'll check the Happy hour or coffee bar and feel differently.

We went on a Saturday afternoon at approximately 2. They were busy, by not crowded. The bar staff greeted us as we entered & told us to sit any where. As soon as we sat down, our waitress was there with waters & menus. She answered all our questions and made great recommendations. The burgers were cooked as ordered & the truffle fries were amazing! Our son loved the boneless wings, which were really chicken strips! We sat near the windows, but my husband loved that he could watch sports at the bar from where we were. We can't wait to return, once the weather is nice, to sit at the outdoor area! We got an order of carmel filled churros for later! They were delicious, even reheated at home!

Had a chance to stop by on a Saturday in the new location the ambiance was nice the food was good and the drinks were awful very watered down not sure when I go visit again

This is her brisket sandwich with all those fat pieces and barely any meat

We when their for lunch I order a taco salad and my sister got a brisket sandwich it was a lot of fat ends and barely any meat. She didn't like hers. My taco salad was delicious. My sister also had fried green tomatoes, those were OK. Upon arrival, the servers were friendly and pleasant. The restaurant was clean the customers were pleasant as well! I would recommend people to go again because I've had a turkey burger in the past, and those were awesome.

The atmosphere is nice but the food was terrible. Chewy, rubbery chicken. Nothing tastes fresh, it's probably all prepackaged frozen food. I found a piece of wire brush in my fries, the lady next to us found a hair? And sent back her burger. Would not eat here again.

Love this local spot. Friendly staff. Reminds me of Cheers lol. So happy they moved to Cedar Hill. Open late on weekends. We stopped in for drinks.

The smoke from the kitchen basically consumed the dining area and was very irritating. It eventually dissipated after a while, but I wouldn't recommend infants in this environment. After our party was seated, it took 15-20 min before our waiter greeted us and provided water; that was a bit annoying. After we got our orders in, things were smooth sailing from there. We were a large party and our waiter did a pretty good job at managing us and all of our requests. Food: they do not waste time bringing the food out. Most of our orders came out within 10 minutes! I ordered the Short Rib (unfortunately not pictured). It was hot, tender, and seasoned well....very good. It came on a bed of rice and some type of sauce. I was not a fan of either. The rice seemed uncooked and the sauce was too much and very liquid. It drowned the rice and practically made it soupy. I would have been fine with just the short rib. I also ordered a side of black eyed peas... also not a fan. It was undercooked and I didn't love whatever seasoning was used to prepare it. Other items I tried: Fries, Cornbread, Yams, and Soul Rolls. These were all tasty, specifically the soul roll. It came out crispy, hot, and stuff proportionately. I could take every bit of what was inside. It's definitely a must try.

Once you find it, though, you'll be glad you did. This spot combines two of my favorite things: decadent desserts + a legit full bar. Whoever came up with this concept deserves a medal. What I had: Raspberry Almond Cake - 5/5. Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The almond balanced the raspberry perfectly, and the slice was massive. Sharing is optional, but I didn't. ;) Chocolate Chip Cookie - 5/5. Giant, warm, and delicious. It had that perfect chewy-meets-crispy texture, and thankfully wasn't dry (a common downfall for oversized cookies). Old Fashioned - 5/5. Honestly, one of the best I've had anywhere. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and strong. I wasn't expecting cocktail game this good at a dessert spot; pleasantly surprised! They've only been open about three months, and I really hope more people discover them because this concept is so good. A cute, cozy vibe, amazing desserts, and strong cocktails? Yes, please. They started us out with chips, salsa, and cheese dip, which was pretty tasty. Unfortunately, where the restaurant falls short is the actual food. While they market themselves heavily as a seafood spot, the quality simply wasn't there. For appetizers, the fried calamari wasn't fresh and turned out very chewy. The disappointment continued with the mains--my husband and I ordered the Rockefeller oysters, and they didn't taste fresh at all either. My daughter had the Baja fish taco (ordered with no sauce); she didn't care for the taco itself, though she did enjoy the fries that came with it. Overall, we were just not impressed by the meal.
