My order is always wrong. What ever service they use does not ring the doorbell they just put it at your door step.

The best change to Hickory Flat is our Chick fil A! Fast service, polite employees and good food.

The drive-thru was full as was the parking lot, but I saw patrons leaving the dining room and attempted to wait for their spot. My efforts were thwarted as a SUV came from behind and cut in front of me to steal spot. I saw another patron leaving and was able to use their spot without conflict. During my visit I continued to hear honking from angry drivers in this crowded and tiny parking lot. The interior was equally crowded, but the lines were not long. The tables were dirty and no employee was working to clean them until about the time I exited. A seat came free at the central communal table seating and I was able to dine inside although there is also a covered patio with additional seating. Despite placing a "for here" my order was served in a bagged to-go container. It had been served quickly and the chicken appeared fresh. The crinkle fries weren't crispy but were decent enough. The chicken fingers were plump and quality, but the coating was pedestrian and not crispy. A 2 or 3 ounce cup of coleslaw was nicely flavored. The Texas toast was adequately toasted and buttered on one side, but a bit stodgy and was the least fresh item in the meal. The sauce and seasonings used were ordinary and could easily be found at a competitor's. Thus the mystery remained unsolved about this establishment's popularity, and I won't be braving the hostile parking lot again for very ordinary food and service.

Disappointing Experience - Poor Service and Incorrect Order…read more Today, I placed an order for an unsweetened iced tea, a basic box with coleslaw, and an extra sauce. When I received my order, the iced tea was missing. I politely asked for it, but instead of an apology, the employee gave me a dismissive look and handed it to me without a word. I drove away, parked, and opened my meal--only to discover that both the coleslaw and extra sauce were missing. Instead, there were just two pieces of toast. I returned to the drive-thru on foot to address the issue. The attendant opened the door without a greeting. I explained that there were three errors in my order, yet again received no apology--just a request to the kitchen for coleslaw, which was handed to me without acknowledgment of the inconvenience. When I asked again for the sauce, the same red-haired attendant continued to smirk without offering a single word of apology. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager, who had clearly overheard the exchange from the window. The manager offered a refund, but instead of processing mine, they mistakenly refunded someone else's order--since I had paid in cash. I later called to clarify this and inform them of the error. When I asked for contact information for the franchise owner so I could share my experience, I was told no such details could be provided, and that reviews couldn't be submitted directly. It's clear that customer service is not a priority at this location. I, like most customers, work hard for my money, and being treated with basic respect and courtesy matters. Unfortunately, that was completely lacking today.

The food here is genuinely excellent--some of the best Korean fried chicken I've had in Atlanta…read more The skin is incredibly crispy, the meat is tender and juicy, and the chicken is clearly butchered and cooked with care. The sauces are a real highlight, especially the gochujang-based one, which was absolutely phenomenal. They're generous with the sauce, too, which adds even more flavor to an already well-executed dish. That said, it's hard to ignore the price point. This is easily the most expensive Korean fried chicken spot I've been to. While the quality justifies the cost to an extent, it's still a noticeable jump from other similar places. And while the chicken is very good, it's not necessarily the best in Atlanta--though it's definitely in the top tier. Another thing that stood out was the lack of lower-cost or smaller portion options. There were only half and whole birds available, with no quarter bird or sandwich options, which makes it difficult for someone looking for a more affordable or lighter meal. It feels like they're missing an opportunity to appeal to a broader lunch crowd. In short: it's pricey, but you're getting high-quality, expertly prepared Korean fried chicken. Just be prepared to spend a bit more--and maybe come hungry.
