What a cluster! I use to work in this Mall in the 90s, this place hasn't been updated since then. I ordered a tray, and half gallon of lemonade on line, several hours before picking it up. I wanted to add a salad and they don't have a salad prep person, no salads available. It took 25 minutes to pick up the order. Not even controlled chaos just total chaos. Brett was Very Friendly taking my order! He Needs to speak up a bit and talk directly to the customer, not looking down. LOTS of people picking with each other and keeping the work flow going! Every time I have visited here in the past year has been a disappointment. We wait a minimum of 20 minutes on our order. Usually something is wrong. Today, our drinks were flat, the fries weren't fully cooked in the middle, and one of our sandwiches was missing bacon. Ridiculous when you waited for 35 minutes in line before we even got our food. This was my first visit to this location. I was with a friend so we decided to dine in. The drive through was extremely busy but well staffed with folks outside assisting with orders. The dining room was very clean even though very busy. The lady at the counter was very sweet and helpful. I ordered the market salad for the first time. The strawberries, blueberries and apples were very fresh...impressive for January. My friend had a milkshake, which looked delicious as well as a lemonade and fried chicken sandwich. Service was very quick and food delivered with a smile. Chick-fil-a is our favorite. My spouse worked for CFA and we love the company. But this location in Mercer Mall is far below CFA standards. Old oil, long wait (36 min for a breakfast sandwich), awful food quality, poor customer service, staff disinterested, etc. all contributed to a bad experience today (8/3/24). When asked to have food bagged separately the blonde associate trainer rolled her eyes and said are you serious. Yes after spending my money here I wanted to get the hell out of the run down mall. When they forgot a sandwich the operations director (Jennie was the name I think?) was nice to my mother but as she walked away rolled her eyes as well! I noticed! Living in a average sized town like Bluefield, we don't have many of the unique food places that bigger cities and towns have. Chick-fil-a is located in Mercer Mall and it's a nice change of pace from the normal Wendy's, Mcdonalds, etc....The food here has always been excellent.I normally go with the grilled chicken sandwich (been on a health crave for the past year or so). If you go during the peak hours of the mall (if you can even call it that) than the lines can back up a little, but normally the wait time is under 5 minutes. read more

I would consider Chick Fil A a "semi/fast food restaurant" and in that category, I would have to give them a 5 star rating. I have been to other Chick-Fil-A restaurants in different cities, states and find them all basically the same.
