The food was great. Nice helpful associates . Clean friendly place of business. Can't lose at this location.

This Chick-fil-A does it right! It's inside, in the food court, and always packed. The staff is fantastic and always greets you with a smile. They run smoothly and efficiently. I ordered the spicy grilled sandwich and a side salad. I've never had a burger that looked exactly like the promo pics. I was truly amazed, it looked like it came straight from the commercial. Flavor was perfect, with a nice kick in the tastebuds. Side salad was a good standard side salad. I do wish they had a full menu, but now I'm just being picky.

Chick-fil-A is not my go-to fast food eatery. When I first moved to Louisiana it was because they were rare in California. I have come to get use to them and I also rarely eat fast food now. They definitely have some healthier options and have some options for you to have a yummy cheat day. This location has been here inside the mall food court for awhile and I have always had great service here. The only thing that is kind of a bummer is that they don't serve hot coffee, but if you want a sweet and cool pick-me-up, request for their frozen coffee which is their soft serve blended with some cold coffee. Ummmm... yummmmm . I am a sucker for their waffle fries. They are always cooked fresh, hot and crispy, just the way I like 'em! Though lines could be long during the busy hours, they move fast, so be patient!

Looks calm now, but wait till the lunch hour ...

Come on now, can a food court version trump the drive through version of Chik-Fil-A? Apparently it can, since this fast food court version is probably the most popular station at during lunch time at the Mall of Louisiana.. I waited in line for a good 20 minutes to get my orders in for my large group of hungry chicken lovers. By the time the food was ready and prepared, they shoved the food toward the end of the line like it was a beer being served across the counter. I was surprised and slightly amused. After all, this is Baton Rouge, not New York City. Food court Chick-Fil-A is pretty close to the regular thing. McDonalds tends to taste even more fast food-ey (is that even a word) when it's a non-standalone restaurant. Since the group left happy and satisfied, I give this Chick-Fil-A a satisfactory 3 stars.

After ordering my medium waffle potato fries, sweet tea, water, and a side salad my sister and I decided to look for a place to sit.

After a few days of eating nothing but fried food and beignets, this was the high protein, fresh salad I needed in my life. Their lamb meatballs are delicious, I love how spicy they are so there's just a little bit of a kick that's balanced out by the creamy tzatziki and crazy feta. This location was clean, bright, and spacious. The line was a little long when we arrived around lunchtime but the staff kept things moving quickly. Highly recommend if you're shopping or working nearby and looking for a spot for a quick, fresh lunch!

BUT they have recently gone up in price and their portions were cut in half. I ordered kid's meals for my two girls and they were the saddest little things I've ever received from there. I was told this was the new portion...it was less than half the food they used to get. I had to make them a second dinner when I got home. I'm much more likely to forgive if it doesn't evolve leaving my kids hungry. I will not be going back or catering from them anymore. I'm not mad about it, more disappointed and sad. I liked this place.

An hour before closing. We were seated quickly, but felt forgotten. Finally placed our order at 20 minutes later. Our food was a little hit and miss. Boudin Benedict, was room temperature. I had the Honey Poulette pancakes, this is where we were disappointed. The pancakes were over done, black around the edges and lacked any flavor. The chicken was the best thing from our brunch. Husband had coffee, he got one cup and asked for more. His second cup was only half and told it was the last of the coffee in house. From what I could tell we were not the last people there.

I had red beans and rice and a stuffed baked potato. Hubby had the grilled shrimp po boy with a side of potato salad. First off, the side dishes are huge. They were fresh and delicious. The red beans and rice were worth the stop. Hot temperature wise and just enough spice to be real cajun food. The potato was hot and fluffy and was gigantic. It was cooked all the way and soft, not like a lot of restaurants serve! The flavor of the po boy was delicious and fresh. The roll tasted fresh baked. Thank you, Rouge Rabbi, we hope to return If you have the chance, try it, you won't be sorry. The seating is cute, they have online ordering, and the prices are reasonable, $15-$20 per person.

So I used #Yelp and found @rougerabbitbr off of Essen, in the United Plaza. I've driven down Essen multiple times but never knew about this place. It's a nice quaint, very much South Louisiana spot that serves breakfast and lunch. The staff were very kind and friendly. Now I didn't get a breakfast burrito this time, instead I got a breakfast bowl which was soooo good! Next time, I have to try the burrito and the French toast but also something from their lunch menu. If you are in the BR area and wanna try a local spot, check out Rouge Rabbit.
