This place is hands down one of the friendliest restaurants I've ever been to in my life. My girlfriend and I eat here a couple times a month and the staff are outstanding. I saw a car accident outside of this location one day and the manager was outside giving bottled water to all the people involved in the accident, the police, and the firefighters. Who writes a long a** review for Chick-fil-A? Apparently this girl... Here's my disappointed story turned into AMAZING. I eat at this chain often, and I go to several different locations ranging from N. Austin to the one near UT campus to Kyle. I bought a Cow Calendar last year that gives me a free cow calendar "treat" each month (random items on the menu). I downloaded the app, which also gives me some treats each month. App allows you to load $$ on there and pay with a QR code -- which has saved my butt the many times I left my wallet at home and had no $$ for food. This month I had some treats from cow calendar and some treats from the app -- I went to the drive thru. I told the worker she needed to scan my COW CALENDAR treats QR code first, she said "No, I don't think so..." I said "Well there's a different QR code for the cow calendar treats..." She responds "No, it went through. Don't worry!" Me in my brain, "I know it went through. I have $20 on my app..." I go to the window, food is perfect. I look at the receipt. One treat was taken off (my fruit cup). But I was supposed to also have a free tea and free medium waffle fries from COW CALENDAR TREAT. I pull around and park because this is the SECOND time I've gone to a Chick-fil-A expecting to redeem my free stuff and my account on the app gets charged! BAIT AND SWITCH?! *Angry* Granted, this is not the place that it happened the first time. It was at the location near UT campus that I got gipped. Note: I did not complain the first time. I chucked it as a loss. Who cares, it's just a couple dollars. Anyway I walk in, and I feel bad already because 1. I don't like being "that woman" who complains and 2. the girl at the drive thru who made the mistake seemed really kind. But I just felt I HAD TO SAY SOMETHING because if not, they'll never train their staff to know what the heck a cow calendar treat is and how to redeem. I go in and am greeted immediately by Sara who has always done a great job taking my order when I've physically come in the restaurant. Seriously, she's always there! I show her my receipt and my app and a manager comes up. GABE. I'm explaining my frustration but am choking back tears? LOL because I'm an emotional person for no reason and this makes me even mad at myself because honestly, it's not a huge deal. It's $5, if that... but still. The principle. So Gabe apologizes and takes responsibility for his staff. GREAT LEADERSHIP -- people take note. I tell him no need to apologize that it's happened at other locations I just want a refund and to redeem my treats if that's ok. He gives me my money back and keeps apologizing. I'm like dude, it's ok don't apologize and he's like no, it's not ok. (In my brain I'm like gosh, stop being so nice to me! I'm being THAT annoying customer right now who is also weirdly emotional about some darn free fries and a drink.) He then says he's going to talk to his staff so they understand the app and how to use it. He also says the lady at the drive thru probably didn't mean anything by it -- which I believe, because I have worked in customer service and ugh. Customers can be the worst. But like I said, she was really nice and probably didn't know wtf a cow calendar treat was. He made the situation right and gave me some comp stuff for my next breakfast, he took responsibility, offered an apology and a resolution. WHAT MORE COULD A CUSTOMER WANT? JEEEZZZ. Way to set the bar, Chick-fil-A. This is why I can't go to your competitors. They don't have a cool app where I get cool prizes. Except Starbucks but they're not really your direct competitor so that's why I go there, too. #basicbishlife Long story short: Food here always tastes how it's supposed to. By Chik Fil A standards, although the service person was great--efficient, friendly and helpful (5 ), this store was not my fave. Out of an 8-pc chicken nuggets order, 3 were gristly and one was fingernail size. Waffle fries were potato skins, tiny fries, a couple normal fries and one was orange-colored and inedible (-3 ). I have always had good service and good food from this location in the past but I am shocked about my visit today. Drive thru employees were more concerned with their conversation with each other than taking my order. Once I received my order I had around four small sized waffle fries and half a container or of 1/2 inch scraps of potatoes. They were cold. The employees were not near as friendly as they have been. We haven't been to Chick-fil-a in awhile so I was pleased to see that they have the calorie content on their items. I'm going to stick with the sandwich under 500 calories verses the nuggets because the nuggets are approx. 80-100 calories each. I can easily mow down 2 dozen nuggets. I love this Chick fil a. The staff is always friendly, my food always comes out in a timely manner and they always accommodate my annoying healthy needs. I usually just come for breakfast, they custom make a grilled chicken bagel for me. I wish they didn't up charge so much for fruit instead of hash browns but I guess it makes sense. The coffee is very good for a chain restaurant. I love the diet lemonade, I come in the afternoon just for a large one of those suckers! The line gets long( like every chick fil a ever) But it's just because they are in such a great location. You can definitely eat healthy and maintain a low calorie fit lifestyle by eating here once or even a few times a week. Long overdue for this review but I can never forget why I'm doing this. I had never been to Chick Fil A before the clock hits PM, ever, and the one morning i decide to go I was going to try breakfast. I'm not to big on breakfast so I had trouble deciding what to eat as it'd probably be too early for a spicy deluxe(or was it). Austin, my guy, my savior, was giving me suggestions and was patient with me as I was just lost in space looking at the menu. This is about as good as fast food gets. The 3 times I've been in the past 2 months I have not once been let down. The staff is amazing, the food is always excellent, and their drive thru line is the FASTEST I've ever been through. I was hesitant to go through the drive thru during the breakfast rush with 4 cars ahead of me, but less then 2 minutes after placing my order I was driving off with my complete order in hand. The most recent time I was in for lunch, I was ordering a few things seperate to save some money. Chick-fil-A lives up to it's standards yet again. My son received a gift card for his birthday, but when he attempted to use it, his card had not been activated or there was no money in it. The chicken sandwich is a hunk of fried chicken on a commercial bun with 2 pickle slices- no lettuce no tomato no secret sauce. As good as it gets for fast food eating! Their food is much healthier than most other fast food places, like most burger places. Their chicken sandwiches are delicious, crispy, and never disappoint. Also, the place is always very clean, which is a huge plus! The staff is friendly, often walking around the store seeing if anyone wants a refill or needs something. I don't generally expect a stellar experience from fast food establishments, so I was pleasantly surprised by my visit here. I agree with all the previous glowing comments about customer service! It was my first time to a Chik Fil A. The drive-thru line wrapped around the building, so I went inside to order. Even though the line was getting long behind me, Brendon the cashier was courteous, very patient with my questions, and made good suggestions as to what to get. He even offered to leave the salt off the waffle fries when I was skeptical about them. To top it off, he gave me a promo discount on my order for being a first-time customer.
