We ordered two sandwiches delivered and got one. $35. Dang. Is already ridiculous but when you're at home feeling bad, you order.

Terrible. Wanted 20 minutes for food. People that ordered after us got food before us. Don't think there was a manger working.

It is usually about a 10-minute wait but I guess that's about as good as you can get at any Chick-fil-A.

Move over Fresa's!! There's a new chick in town!…read more Not only are the ingredients fresh, you can taste the quality! We were shopping in Bee Cave and got hungry, so I went to Yelp to discover this cute little place. I did learn that they are mainly a "take away" model hence the play on words "picnic" on their name. But there are a few tables and bar counter that you can dine in. We ordered a bit of food- 1. Half roasted chicken 2. Hot wings 3. Roasted Beets 4. Kale side salad 5. Fun selection of NE brand beers! Yes they have wine and unique beer selection there! The roasted chicken was definitely brined- it was super juicy and the chimichurri and salsa complimented it wonderfully. It was explained to me the chicken were free range and how they are raised humanely, reminded me of an episode in a tv series- Portlandia that made me chuckle. The hot wings... Buffalo style but not like at Anchor Bar.. still amazing in its own right. Fresh (I mean there were zero dry spots on carrots and celery and it was crunchy fresh that even me, the non-celery lover- ate 4 sticks with their tasty homemade ranch sauce. (I think it was the ranch dressing bc I literally licked the bowl clean) The roasted beets were served cold with feta cheese crumbles, mint and pistachios. I could eat that by itself as a meal! Yummy! Now, I usually hate kale. Only like it roasted. But I can eat Chicknic's Kale side salad all day long. It contains roasted cauliflower, pickled red onion and a mountain of pumpkin and sunflower seeds! (Maybe that's why I like it so much??) All washed down with a brown ale beer you find in the NE. While we were dining, several people came by to pick up their to go orders and there is a fun freezer where they sell delicious take aways like chicken soup and their famous chicken pot pie, chicken crepes, chicken enchiladas... oh did I mention this is a great place if you're on a keto diet or gluten free restriction?!?? I also found if you follow their Facebook page, you can see new menu items or transparency of how they run their business. What you waiting for? Give this place a try and support local!

You basically told me that you don't care that I wish you would answer your phone. However, using the excuse that you only have two people in the kitchen while you and another person sit at a table and ignore the phone ringing sealed that fact that you do not care about your customers. As always, the chicken had good flavor, but I cannot keep ignoring the dryness any longer. And with your lackadaisical attitude toward your customers, I am done. Not a single soul in the place, no to go orders waiting on the to go rack. Just sit there and ignore the phone.

I got the Caesar Salad with no protein, I had split the happy hour items Amanda's Trio with my cousin and we got the fries, collard greens and ranch beans. I got the adult lemonade that was spiked with peach favoring. When I got the caesar salad I didn't finish it b/c the anchovy smell was too strong for me. The collard greens were good, the fries can't complain, and the ranch beans I didn't eat b/c my cousin ordered them. Andi our waitress was very nice and patience b/c it was our first time. She cracked a couple jokes and glad she was our waitress. The next time I am in San Marcos I will try to make it here.

We then got our drinks after our food. The food was not as impressive as I remember. Maybe it's because we got salads. Mine was suppose to have kale in the mix. I was too hungry to ask why it didn't come with kale. There were way too many cranberries. Though my friend raved about her cobb salad, so I guess I just got the wrong salad. The fries came out cold and we had to track down our waiter to order dessert and get the check. The peanut butter pie was a little too dense for me and it lacked depth in flavor. When you come here I would stick with the OG sandwich, mac & cheese, and butter pie. Warming about parking, lot is small and hard to maneuver.

How many places can you say that both main dish and sides are good? Also, for it to be reasonably priced? Ordered the 1/2 chicken plate. Comes with (1)breast, wing, thigh, and leg. Sides were beans and Cole slaw. Ordered a small order of Mac and cheese. Total was ~$26. Whenever my wife and I travel, we usually share plates so we have more room to try other things. 100% enough food for two people to hold you over for a solid meal with out making you take a nap. If you're hungry, that plate it self will absolutely keep you full for the 50% of the day. Staff has always been friendly. Service is generally quick but there can be a line depending upon when you arrive. Pro tip is to order to go if you have a nearby hotel or to door dash. I went to the drive-through at this establishment and picked up a plethora of meals and brought them to my son's house for a family lunch. I got a turkey burger on a lettuce wrap, which was amazing. My granddaughter got the child's meal with the burger and she just loves getting that apple juice! My husband and my daughter-in-law, both got a tiny hat customized to their own personal preferences. My daughter-in-law loves their sweet potato fries. It was indeed a celebration, and it was quite fun to spreading the HatCreek all over the dining room table. This restaurant is clean, attractive and inviting. The service was great, and our order was prepared perfectly. They even had a milk bone for my beautiful fur baby. Everyone was very kind. The drive-through line moved at an exceptional pace, which is nice because we were in drive-through because we're in a hurry. The prices are quite reasonable. I definitely will be visiting this HatCreek again!

For our order we got 2 Little Hat Burgers, 2 Fried Chicken Sandwiches, and 4 Fries. We also requested several sauces. We also ordered some milkshakes but their machine was down so unfortunately no milkshakes on this visit. The fries were okay. I like the flavor of them but they were mostly soggy and soft. I found a few crispy fries which I appreciated. The burger I got was the Little Hat. It comes with a meat patty, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, cheese, and mustard. I got my burger without cheese. The burger was okay. The bun was a soft. The meat patty was good. The other ingredients were okay. Plenty of onions and decent lettuce, tomatoes, pickles. Overall it was an okay place to get burgers and fries. Easy and fast drive thru experience. I was a little disappointed that the milkshake machine wasn't working but hopefully it will be working next time.
