I've eaten several times at Chick-E-Ribs and found their food outstanding. Today, however I found myself in an unusual situation helping a friend and having many unusual mishaps resulting in my phone, which I needed to complete the task being uncharged without a charger. Elizabeth went out of her way to help me which may seem like a small thing except it wasn't. Without going into details, she displayed excellent hospitality skills and kindness. Kudos you Elizabeth and thank you Chick-E-Ribs! A forever customer for sure! read more

Brisket was tender! Ribs were pretty good. Beans with burnt tips tasty but needed more burnt tips in the beans. Nice place to stop for BBQ in the area read more

Chick-E-Ribs - Front dining area - Barbeque Near Me - Liberty, New York

It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall in that it is a store front in a strip shopping center, but it is a very good hole-in-the-wall. My husband and I had dinner there when we were in the area to see a play at Stagedoor Manor. I thought the ribs were very good and that the homemade cole slaw and fresh cut fries were outstanding. As long as you aren't looking for atmosphere, I highly recommend this place. read more

The food from this place was genuinely unreal I have had BBQ food from hundreds of different places (I live in NYC) and this is BY FAR the best I have ever had in my life. Just the fries alone were insane. This place should have far more recognition and also the workers are super nice this is 1000% better than any thing else in liberty or any BBQ food anywhere also it's not expensive! Definitely go here read more

Damn good barbecue. Stopped by on a New Year's Eve, and order a half rack with smoked Mac & Cheese with their Beer Battered Onion Rings. Excellent stuff! The question that's Leah's determines my rating: Would I come back? Absolutely. read more

In search of a replacement for Big Kev's, that shuts down for an obnoxiously long vacation each winter, I tried this place I keep driving past but never getting a chance to stop. First impression: the menu board is cluttered, it took me some time to figure out what the full selection of offerings were. I decided to order the pulled pork sandwich, with a side and drink, a combo listed on the menu board for $11. When I did that, the cashier stopped me and said, hey, we have a lunch special for that! So, I ask for that instead, and get the EXACT SAME THING for the EXACT SAME PRICE. Huh. The food came really fast, and was handed to be at the counter, loose plates, no tray for carrying to the table. I nearly spilled my baked beans all over the floor trying to carry everything at once. The food: Bleh. The pork was rather dry, and topped with a generic, supermarket-brand quality sauce. The roll was going stale, where a soft, fluffy roll to absorb the juices of the pork (had there been any) would have been preferable. The baked beans were advertised as being with burnt ends. Well, it looked and tasted like generic canned baked beans with a few specks of pork thrown in after the fact. How can I tell? There was no smoky pork flavor in the sauce to the beans at all. It did literally taste like ShopRite canned baked beans. An added inconvenience: as a further disservice to customers, they charge a profitable surcharge on the use of credit cards, discouraging people from making full purchases at their store. But to be fair, the quality doesn't encourage large or repeat purchases anyways. Sadly, my search for another BBQ place continues. read more

Pretty good food not fine dining but tasty and good! Would go back again. It's not fancy but has a variety of good bbq choices.

Great place! Nice people! Good food! They smoke all of their meat out back! Highly recommend! read more

Me and my lunch partner order at least once a week here. Everything is good. Hot dog and mozzarella sticks my go to ribs are delicious

The food is good when you can actually get it. They are constantly understaffed and the service suffers because of it. On July 2nd I purchased a chicken, it was inedible because it was undercooked. I posted photo, you decide. On this trip, I placed my order, drove 20 minutes to get it, only to get there and have other people served who came in after me while I was waiting. Then I was told one of the 2 things I ordered was out. They should've said on phone, but no. As I tried to pick a cold side because my warm food was already sitting there and I didn't want it to get cold while they cooked another side to replace the one I originally ordered, some man behind counter told me chicken couldn't have been raw and then called me an asshole while I was standing right there. He refused to look at the pictures. The ambience in store is chaotic and rather hostile. But the chronic understaffing may be the reason. The man repeated how understaffed they were as he grumbled, snarled and made references about going to McDonald's under his breath. As I said, food is good when cooked properly, but the customer service is deplorable. read more

The food from here is absolutely delicious! Finger licking' good!! Service is prompt and courteous. It feels like a family run business as it is. So happy they opened up a brick and mortar establishment. Liberty should be grateful and speaking of grateful the prices make this an affordable alternative for family, parties and for that night I don't have to cook! Continued success to you. read more

The ribs were smashing and the overall appearance was very breathtaking I recommend this establishment to one and all

Phoned in my order last Sunday night. Person who took my order was very nice. I was graciously greeted when I arrived at the store. Ate the onion rings side in the car on the way home. Got home and had my bbq ribs with cole slaw and baked beans. Ribs were some of the best I have had. Prices were very reasonable too. Can't wait to go back and try some of their other dishes. read more

This place is such a hidden gem! The service was amazing, the prices are fair especially considering the quality of the food. The ambiance is laid back and homey. The food was delicious!! We got the brisket sandwich and would definitely recommend!! The fries are amazing as well and perfectly seasoned. If you're ever in the area and craving some good home-cooked-esq bbq, Chick-E-Ribs is the place to go! :) read more

Stumbled onto this place visiting from Brooklyn. We never would've guessed that we'd find the best barbecue we've had in years at some strip mall in Catskills NY. The sides we ordered, which were baked beans, coleslaw and corn on the cob were delectable. And the people who work there were so kind, as well as rightfully proud of their down home cuisine! read more

The food was beyond amazing such great sides and everything was delicious they have lots of options and if you're up at the Catskills definitely make a stop here and enjoy some great BBQ read more

SCRUMP-DIDDLY-UMPTIOUS! My group of friends and I came to the area from NYC, and were looking for a fat meal to fill our bellies after a long day in the forest. We stumbled across this place and boy, were we happy. The customer service was impeccable, the food filled us with joy, and the atmosphere was exactly what a bunch of city workers in their mid-20s wanted on a Saturday night. After tucking into an unreal meal with delicious bacon on the Mac and cheese, an overwhelmingly generous serving of corn bread, and to-die for slow-cooked meat, the owner saw us off with FREE desserts. Holy cow! In NYC, we would be lucky to even get a smile from staff on our way out. Can't recommend this place enough, make sure to stop in! Kudos to the owners and workers, you rock. read more

For 3 years I've been trying to talk the man into stopping. Today we did - guess who's still cleaning off the ribs! My brisket was delicious and the sauce is awesome. Tho the food is delicious. We ordered 3 pulled pork sandwiches that came with no bun. Idk what happened there but lets do better.

Great fall off the bone ribs, great side dishes. Friendly service, and good prices. And ribs are gluten-free too!

This was such a rip off, for the price they charge they don't even give you enough food to fill you up. I paid ten dollars and they gave me barely a serving a of brisket, which was in a pool of grease. My boyfriend got a pulled pork sandwich that was literally all bread. After we stopped at another place to get more food because we were still hungry. read more
