I love raw vegan restaurants for their creativity in creating dishes that requires little to no cooking, which is more challenging than one thinks. The small shop is a womxn owned business and is a cozy, grab and go environment. There were a few seats by the window but I anticipate most people will swing by for something and be on their way. For breakfast, I ordered their Acai Bowl ($15) with fresh fruit, protein powder, and granola. It was a decent sized portion and everything was blended nicely, although their granola felt a bit hard. But you really can't go wrong with acai and other freshness in the morning. They sell a variety of takeout meals including wraps, sushi, lasagna, etc., and yes, all of it is raw so you're really benefiting from all the natural vitamins and minerals in whole foods. It's definitely on the steeper end but I appreciate that it's available to the masses.

Raw is a healthy food haven for somebody looking for healthy snacks and alternatives. A local spot in Chicago we got to meet the owner and her dog. They were super nice and gave us the rundown on the menu. Offering smoothies, shots, meals, bowls, espresso, and teas. It has something for just about everybody here. I picked up one of their smoothies the maca picchu. Bananas, blueberries, almond butter, and the maca picchu blend. This was a great refresher after the workout I had just done. A great spot to check out while you are in Chicago offering healthy drinks, snacks, and food.

Support local! This little gem near Navy Pier is worth visiting. The açaí is amazing! And the shop is welcoming. Not just a heal-food spot the are a coffee shop also, the selection of coffee is legit! Try the oat milk flat white!

This little place it's nearby my house . If you looking for a cozy spot with healthy options then is the right one. From a variety of smoothies , food , sweets , açaí,cakes ( my fav one it's" slice of heaven" ) and many more .All the stuff it's very lovely and good adviser to help with you find the perfect option. Love that they have some tables outside where you can enjoy in a nice day or with your pet buddy . Totally recommend this place.

Paid forty dollars for moldy food (photos attached). No quality control in an overpriced place that prides themselves in being "clean" eating. Simple ingredients with a side of mold.

I was walking in the area and noticed this little boutique-type food location. I was quite impressed, as a health food nut job. My issues with food start with anaphylaxis food allergies. Tree nuts, sesame seeds (also the main ingredient in tahini, sadly), soy. Their foods are labeled incredibly well. Prices seem steep, but honestly for what they offer, they are not. I did not buy anything (yet) as I need to do far more looking into the company and perhaps email about food safety, but once I'm cleared for some items, I'll go back. Or, I see they are also housed inside my Whole Foods in Streeterville. I'm not sure what part of the store, but I'm excited!!

Demolished this sushi down by the lake!! It was REALLY good, but I needed more to be full.

Stayed right by here on a recent trip to Chicago, so I went a few times during my stay. I am vegan but I recently also went mostly grain-free & gluten-free, so I thought raw vegan food would be a good fit for my new diet. I was correct in that regard! Yes, prices are always a bit high for raw food no matter where you go, what city you are in, etc because you are not paying for all the fillers but just high-quality ingredients. I had the sushi rolls for lunch, but after a 7 mile bike ride up the lake to the beach where I planned to eat my lunch, I was still hungry so I ate my backup kind bar! You probably need more than one thing to be full. I also had a smoothie while I was there, and that was great. Overall, if you are into raw food and want the opposite of Chicago Diner style vegan food, then you know what you are getting into as far as high quality but a bit pricey foods! They also sell interesting bagged snacks and bars in case you want to make a little picnic etc!

Another place to get açaí bowls. Chicago Raw so far is my favorite place to get these. It has plenty of other stuff as well. Good stuff to eat and the only bad thing is the price. There's a lot more I want to try but don't want to pay that much for stuff. I was around here and picked up a good meal at breakfast. Picking something was pretty hard. The entire menu looks good so you have to just pick one thing. Also it's pretty expensive. Limiting yourself here is hard and you can't get that much when you aren't loaded. I had an Açaí Bowl. It's $12.95 for a small looking but in reality actually dense bowl with a lot in it. There's a lot packed in there. Base is acai, blueberries, kale, and plant protein. Toppings are bananas, granola, and strawberries. Breakfast is a good time for a bowl. If coming later there's stuff like salads and sandwiches. Things are expensive so you just have to order one thing.

Wow, this place completely blows me away. The creativity and ingenuity that it takes to create a raw vegan menu is underestimated by many. Raw vegan restaurants are so few in number because it is so laborious to create each and every single product and this place does an amazing job at representing how far raw food can go. I wish I lived in Chicago so that I could grab food from here every week lol. When you enter the store, you are greeted by little samples and I think it's a great way to get exposure to try different menu items. The service is super friendly and the people are really helpful at trying to talk to you about what items to order and the ambience is kind of like a grab and go deli style situation. I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I got the signature sampler platter, empanadas, and the pizza. As if this wasn't enough (it wasn't), I went back on a separate occasion, and also ordered the nori rolls and the collared burrito. I was so curious about everything and I definitely wanted to try more than what I got. Everything was a pretty interesting twist, and what I love about raw vegan food is that I usually feel very full but also not lethargic. My personal favorite that I got was probably the raw ravioli with the cashew cheese inside the turnip skin. Everything is super exciting and it feels super healthy and I would definitely encourage everyone to give it a try! I wish the owner would release a cookbook so for those of us who do not live in Chicago can try and re-create some of the magic in our own kitchens.

Stumbled across this store, and wow! I got my organic celery juice, organic plant based burrito was amazing and service was great.

    Smoothie and tiramisu

Had the all in one smoothie plus green vitamin eral and avocado. Yumm. And the mini tiramisu. Both rocked. Only thing was with my additions it was insanely pricey ($25) which seems a bit high. But did love it. The crimson love juice on the second trip in. Yummm. Again, crazy pricey but really good!

My main grudge on this night was the pour of sparkling wine (brut). Champagne flutes are typically six ounces. A standard pour of wine is five ounces. That means a pour of sparkling wine should stop about 1 inch from the rim of the glass*. Not so this time. I thought the bartender had emptied the bottle and was going to continue his pour with a new bottle, but no - that was not the case (I was seated at the bar.) I had gotten only about 3 out of 5 ounces of a $16 glass of wine. Not cool since every patron is charged an automatic 20% hospitality surcharge per check. (It looked more like a pour for a toast at a wedding!) Other than this major lapse in bartending etiquette - and yes, I considered saying something at the time but did not, hence, this review - my meal was fine (with the exception of the onion tart - not what I expected an onion tart to be: go with the crab cake!). *Note: I have worked part-time in F&B from 1994 to 2024 in all manner of restaurants/catering/country clubs, etc., including as a BASSET certified bartender, so I know what a pour of wine should be (and look like) in a standard champagne flute!

Would have liked a meat alternative but other than those drumsticks, which are brought in frozen and premade and therefore, the "meat" cannot be used in an entree-only the tofu was gluten free. Although I mixed in tamari and sirahcha, this was delicious. The hot pit crisped the rice perfectly and the veggies and tofu were cooked really well. We also got their raw berry cheese cake and a scoop of soy vanilla ice cream for dessert. The crust of the cheesecake wasn't really good but everything else was excellent. Service was great with a lot of good suggestions and he was very friendly. The place isn't much to describe. Just a very casual interior with an Alice in wonderland motif. The interior is bright, green, and inviting, with lots of seating and great natural light coming in from the front windows. There's also outdoor seating, but it was a bit too cold the day we went, so we stayed inside. Service is counter-style, and the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu. After over 40 days without fried food, I was especially excited for the tots and they did not disappoint. Overall, the food was good and solid across the board. Nothing that completely blew me away, but definitely satisfying. If you're vegan or vegetarian and craving a classic burger experience, this is a great option. The smoothie was good as well, though I personally prefer fruit-forward smoothies with lighter juices, so the almond milk base wasn't quite my favorite, but it still complemented the meal nicely.
