I think it's unfair to review the fans because a large percentage of them suck. We need a "Chicago Cubs fan" review section. This is for reviewing the TEAM right? OK then. I only give them 4 stars because they leave too many men on base, have not had pitching in decades, continue to hold onto DeadWood and continually let me down year after year after duping me with a long stretch of wins. We're right in the middle of another one of those stretches. Every year I say the same thing, and every year I'm wrong. But I figure if the Red Sox can win it all, then one year I'm bound to be right about the Cubs so here goes: "This could be our year!" read more

Great team here but I'm pissed that a security employee for the Cubs told me I couldn't take photos of the Cub players after the game as they walked to their cars. I was standing on or near Waveland Ave and I wasn't impeding their path to their cars. Do the Cubs or Ricketts own Waveland Ave? The next time I consider going to a Cubs game, I'll think twice. I went to the Cub game with just my little boy today. I have been going to Cub games my whole life. I have never gone as.a Father until today. What a different perspective and all I can say is Wow. I'm a little emotional as I have always always always wanted to take my little boy to Wrigley Field and I finally got to do that today. But what a nice, family atmosphere it was today. 1- There is free parking 2- There is a free shuttle to the park from Parking lot. 3- They have photographers taking picture outside Wrigley Field and they even took one of us with our camera. 4-- The ushers and everyone in concession could not have been nicer to me and my boy. 5- The bathroom was clean 6-- The parking lot had clean portables. 7- Not a bad view anywhere. 8- The signage has been melded into the atmosphere. I personally just don't like that you can't see the lake from the upper deck anymore but too bad. 9- The new speakers are awesome and it brings the park into the 21st century. 10-- The Ricketts family cares about the team and where they play. I had a great day today albeit from a different perspective --today at Wrigley Field. read more

1. I'm a sox fan- and I NEVER wear cubs attire, colors, etc. Just to piss of the future husband I sometimes where Sox stuff. :) It's all in good fun. 2. It is, by far, ONE of the best ballparks in the US. I'm a secure enough Sox fan to say that. It has something that not many ballparks have... History. (Maybe not a championship, ha) Yes, the bathrooms could be better- yes, it's not modern, but that's what makes it one of the best. (next to Fenway and Comerica) 3. Yes I actually have credibility too- because I appreciate baseball-not just a team. I've been to over 16 ball parks and plan to see ALL of them. 4. Hot dogs aren't bad either! ;) 5. Some of the best seats are by the 3rd base line, near the bullpen- just don't rest your beer on the wall they yell! read more

For real, someone writing an OBJECTIVE review about the cubs? I just can't stomach it. I've gotta give them a 3 stars. They get our hopes up, I'm a north side girl and though I respect the Sox I'd rather see a Cubs game than a Sox one. Some seasons they're on, some they're off. All seasons the die hard fans take their blood pressure medication and pray to the good lord that THIS YEAR will be that championship winning year where we will reclaim our victory. Even those Sox fans have to admit that if Chicago wins one way or another everyone's just a little bit proud. Even if they won't admit it. Wrigley field is a really fun stadium to visit, it's a shame that it's cursed. But then again that explains the Cub losses. Don't believe in the supernatural? Watch a few seasons of the Cubs and maybe you will. ::spooky music:: Kids can enjoy the Cubs more than adults, just because they haven't reached that age yet where they realize that it's socially acceptable in the baseball world to get really pissed off and curse at other cityfolk and get drunk as hell out of sadness after games. read more

My significant other worked for the Cubs for about a month and a half. During that time frame they didn't pay her for the work she did. She sent numerous emails, calls, and follow up to get paid. They avoided her at all costs. She is still waiting to get paid and has needed to find other work. During the time she worked the 50/50 raffle one of the other workers sexually harassed her for two days and it was brought to their attention and they did nothing about it. Now it's happening to other women. They never fired this guy. Along with this a manager of the 50/50 raffle was aware of areas where men would cat call her so he would tell her that she would be placed in those areas so she could get more money. I could only imagine how other woman feel and what they go through working for this organization. read more

So disappointed in Wrigley Field and the Cubs organization. All the food vendors have 5 lines... 4 of them are mobile App ordering and 1 is Debit/ Credit?!?! Whoever thought this was a good idea hasn't been to a game. NO ONE! In the mobile App lines and 100 people in the remaining Debit/Credit line. I started to download the mobile App to get a Frickin Hotdog. They wanted all my info, credit card info, username password, etc.. while I'm downstairs the Cubs hit 3 home runs that I miss. Sorry, Cubs fans. How can I give a team that hasn't won in 100 years more than 2 stars? The fact that you even get two is based solely on Wrigley Field being an awesome ballpark, even if it is a dump. I'm not rooting against you, I'm just giving my opinion. I hope you guys win one sooner rather than later, and I can bump this up to three or four. Looks like you might actually even have some owners who give a crap about the team soon. Nearly 100 years of losing. THAT is the true measure for any sports team. But like many Cubs "fans" they want to talk about Wrigley. Because after all, the majority of people at the park are Wrigley fans, not actual baseball fans. Sure, they cheer when others around them cheer to let them know something good happened. But by and large, the people are only there because of the ballpark, and the notion that the god awful bars in the neighborhood are cool. FACT: If Zell sells the Cubs and not Wrigley, the fanbase will dwindle in a matter of years. The fact that potential buyers are practically demanding Wrigley be part of the sale tells you that the TRUE draw is the ballpark. read more

Three of my friends and I went to a game the first week we moved here. We got all dressed up in Cubs attire and got on the El to the field. On the El it was packed with Cubs fans! It was so fun to meet everyone and have people getting so excited for the game. before we walked into the game we went to a tiny bar near the field. I think it was called the Dugout. They were selling $1 beers and people could play beer pong! It put us in a festive mood to see the game. Once we got to the field I was very happy with our seats. We were right on the 3rd baseline at in the 7th row. People were just excited to be there and having a great time. The Cubs played well although they did not win. But it didn't seem to matter to everyone in the stands. Even with them loosing, people were being rowdy and running around. All in all, AMAZINGLY FUN TIMES read more

Bleacher bums heckling outfield players, 7th inning stretch, ronny woo woo, beer/pea nut/hot dog vendors screaming their heads off to make a sale....i love wrigely. Cubs fans love coming to wrigley, its just something in the atmosphere that keeps us coming back..."maybe next year" or "this is the year" we dont even care about winning (clearly) we care about having a good time....i mean it would be AMAZING and i'd love to see it happen in this lifetime but im not holding my breath just yet. Ive checked out a few different stadiums/parks and the people and neighborhood that make wrigley what it is has not been duplicated. Cubs fans are crazy! Bleacher seats have to be the most fun, batting practice and watching grown men dive for balls or the guys who are so drunk they must be escorted out by the 5th innning...CLASSIC. People are always selling tickets, and there is plenty of parking, i think the average price is $25. I found out you can park as far as Ashland and walk to the field in about 10min. i think ill be walking from here on out. OR just take the train or bus. Transplanted Chicago native - life long Cubs fan. Saw my first game at Wrigley in1966. Multiple hundreds since then. You're not dreaming. It really happened, and like most of the players, fans, and analysts I'm at a loss for words.

Other than air plane laid overs I have never been to Chicago or anywhere else ILLINOIS, your state nicknamed LAND OF LINCOLN for Abraham Lincoln! I know the capitol of ILLINOIS is Springfield! Anyway, as this writing, the Chicago Cubbies have just win or just won GAME FIVE 3 to 2 against Cleveland (OHIO) Indians! Now I knowing both are underdog teams, something been seventy one years since Cleveland Indians win a World Series, one hundred eight years since Chicago Cubbies win a World Series! I understand friendly sports rivalry, competition, but even if I from GOLDEN STATE that be California, my heart is now with Cubbies! I really do hope they win next two games! Hey, am I right, but every sports movie or every baseball movie that has Chicago Cubbies, the Cubbies are just joke of every sports movie and are just joke of every baseball movie! I been victim of bullying! This just to me, joke of every sports movie and joke of every baseball movie, is a form of bullying! Have we not all had "bad days," but we wish for good days! Not sure what Billy Goat Curse is, but hope it gets broken in 2016 World Series, minus any Earthquakes! Earthquakes, 1989 when both Bay Area teams in World Series! Go Cubbies! About 9:43 p.m. California time, so 12:43 a.m. of Ohio time on November 2, 2016! In Cleveland, Ohio! The Chicago Cubbies have just won 8 to 7 in ten innings, Game Seven of World Series! Any sports play offs, is good when goes to maximum seven games! That way first off, the stadiums and the teams not have refund any unused tickets! The concessions, they have more days/nights to work! IT'S GONNA HAPPEN!! I'm starting to think that's referring to choking in the playoffs, not winning the WS.

LMAO.... if i hear one more Cubs fan "This is the year!!!!" HAHAHAAA... every year the Cubs fans say this! And? Well? Every year same old same old thing.... no world series... WOW... I don't mean to be mean, but seriously, these fans are NOT baseball fans, most people I talk to do NOT even know their team roster, ooooo wait... and look at the team, the coach? Do we all remember last year, kicking his hat around the field, seriously, how juvenile!!! I would have had much more respect for the organization had they hired Joe Girardi, but Lou? He is barely a step above Dusty Baker... and I lost all respect after they hired Dusty to begin with. With the money they have to spend on decent players... that is all they get? OMG... this review could be my longest review yet for all the reasons why the chokers (oops i meant cubs) SUCK... but I won't because the real true die hard fans know where real baseball is played. hmmm..... yep, bet those Cub fans are thinking now.... Baseball??? wooooooowwww....what's that? I can't wait to submit my review of Wrigley field, i don't know what is the bigger joke, the cubs? or their ball park!!! This team is like the comedy of baseball...the games are soooo B O R I N G (oh right! who can watch the game when u r too busy avoiding getting beer spilled all over you).... and the fans are just pathetic. If i can give less than a star i would.. here's why- I recently went to a Cubs game on July 16, 2019. My fiancé bought tickets for my birthday. I enjoy going to the Cubs games and love the pride. But honestly the Cubs security staff member named Peter who was stationed at the Gallagher Exit ruined my evening. Long story short i wanted to try to find a jersey and to also see if the championship ring was still on display at the big cubs store outside the stadium. As i was going out the guard stationed (there were about 20 staff members there too) said they will scan your ticket "going back in". My tickets were never scanned going out and none of the security personnel told me that it needs to be scanned going out. I went out during the beginning of the 7th inning and when i didn't find the championship ring (another sad moment) I decided i wanted to find another jersey at the stores in the inside of the stadium. When i came back in i was told to scan my ticket. And when i went to scan it said please see attendent. The attendant didn't know what to do. I waited there for a bit and ended up missing the remaining 7th inning. She ended up going back with a security staff member named Peter who was so rude!!! I told him that i went to the store and that i'm simply coming back in to watch the remainder of the game. He didn't believe me nor my fiancé. I showed him the souvenir helmet from the nachos and i told him how did i get this if i didn't enjoy the game. He said "I don't know" and simply looked at us as though we are lying! He didn't offer any other way for us to get back in and basically expected us to leave ehat horrible staffing!!! I told him that my fiancé paid money for us to enjoy this game. After much reasoning/arguing he finally let us in and did something to his scanner to let us in. I said that action wasn't hard to do and that he should have let us in the first time instead of giving me a hard time and making miss the game to which he blatantly said, " you're lucky i'm letting you in." I mean how is that lucky i paid money it's not my fault staff members don't know their own protocols! I wanted to be better and not argue anymore with Peter. This ruined the game and my birthdy with his act of rudeness. Is this how staff members treats fans daily? I went into the Cubs store inside the stadium but i didn't end up buying anything i couldn't stop feeling the disgust from my night and what was suppposed to be a fun game. Thank you Cubs staff for ruining my birthday night and I hope it doesn't go to deaf ears. - Nicolai read more

The Chicago Cubs are like the Crazy Biker Girl's that I dated in the 80's. They are so much fun in the beginning, and then after you date a while, you have this sinking feeling that they are going to break your heart. And in the end, all that you have to show for your relationship is a swift kick in the groin. Now that I have had a chance to think about the 2008 season, I"m really pissed off. I know that the losers are going to raise ticket prices next season on the basis that they need to stay competitive. Stay competitive my ass! They have been TOTALLY EMBARRASSED in the playoffs two years in a row. They played like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. They have players like Soriano (Sorry-Ass) and A-Ram-Ass at third base who fail to show up in the postseason and fans who totally buy into the false hope that the Cubs give them by winning a horse shit division. If I see the Phrase "It's going to happen" anytime soon, I will probably throw up my breakfast. But I'm a sucker and have too much fun at Wrigley to stop going. So in the end, I'm a glutton for punishment and disappointment. But it doesn't mean that I'm happy about it. So I give the Cubs 4 stars for the sunshine, fun, comrade re and all the scantily clad Trixie's, but I take one star away for the pain that gathers in my testicles after getting kicked there every October. read more

World series champions!!!!!!! Took a little bit of time but they finally got there. Best fans, best spirit, best park!

I think the Cubs have been doing really well last several years since they won the world series in 2016.. They have made it to the play offs every year since they won then.. Not many teams make it to the play-offs.. But I remember that night they won the world series and we stayed up late cause the game went into overtime, and they were playing the Cleveland Indians.. and the game was tied at the bottom of the 8th inning all the way through the 9th inning.. But then something happened between the bottom of the 9th inning into the top of the 10th inning a divine rain intervention delayed the game for 17 minutes and saved the Cubs and broke a 108 year old curse.. That night the 7th game of the world series was in the process of transforming from historic to transcendent... engulfed by there own history even as they ignored it, they cleansed themselves. The grounds field crew began unfurling the tarp and rain delays are apart of baseball, but the spirits of all the 38,000 transfixed fans in the stands that night and all the thousands and thousands of people all over the world watching this game intensely our spirits sank and wondering, What now?.. you see Aroldis Chapman who was the pitcher at this point could not have known with the rain bearing down on a progressive field when he took the mound, in a some what fragile state, in the 9th inning he had retired the Clevand's line up order Carlos Santana on a fly ball, Jason Kipnis on a strikeout and Francisco Lindor on a fly to Heyward on the right would allow Cubs to survive. So when the tarp was rolled out at 11:54 pm and everyone went to the clubhouse not knowing if they were going to play, Chapman remained on the bench.. he cried.. He needed to know, cause he had blown a 2 run lead for the Cubs in the bottom of the 8th, the Cubs were in trouble, which made it a tied ball game all through the 9th inning, He said something needs to be done. Aroldis Chapman was over worked, fragile and tired cause they had used him in alot of games.. And so Miguel Montero the catcher for the Cubs said to him It happens, its not your fault, they had to tell him that, We'll pick you up... I believe God answered that prayer, as he was on that bench crying. Hoyer and Epstein the Cubs president of Baseball operations, sat anxiously in their seat. When tarp was rolled out up, rose up to a tunnel that ran underneath the stands behind home- plate. it seemed funny how the rain room, where they reported and looked at weather, was behind home plate.. just as the Cubs were going to be up next they needed to know how to proceed. The meeting was brief. The cell that produced a potential down pour would pass quickly Epstein and Hoyer was told. Within minutes the league announced they expected to resume play around 12:15 am and headed to the Club house to tell the players to remain ready. As Epstein walked pass the weight room, a group of players were gathered inside, he saw those players and was a little concerned, cause he didn't know if there was an issue. There was an issue of how the game was going, or what happened in the 8th and 9th innings about game being tied, and with this curse they believed they had on them was it even possible for them to win.. It didn't look like it. But what was happening though was extraordinary. No Cub had more of a difficult October and a difficult season then Jason Heyward. By some measure he was the worse offensive player in the game. For large chunks of post season he served as an expensive Defensive replacement. And you see it was the good baseball players Kyle Schwarber, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo talking about what's going to happen in the 10th inning, they were up next for the top of the 10th inning. Epstein told them to stick together cause he knew they were up next and had over heard them talking about the 10th inning. But it was because of Heyward that the meeting grew and it included the entire Cubs team. And here he had 0 to 4 on the night and an easy out, and here he was going to deliver the most significant contribution of the year. Heyward told them to come here I got something to say according to Ben Zobrist who was due up 4th to bat when the game resumes. This most maligned Cub spoke up and because of what Heyward was getting ready to say to the whole team, this is why I believe it was a Divine Intervention....He said lets be there for each other and not take situations for granted and remind ourselves who we are... He encouraged them, lifted them up with an inspirational speech, some of the Cub players were in tears cause of his speech... it really affected them and here Heyward was now leading them into victory in a time of crisis. The dread of the collapse had been put on pause and pivoted and turned to one simple thought.. If we win one inning Hoyer said, We win the world series and they did.. What a great Historic Cubs story and win that will impact who the Cubs are for the rest of there life!! read more
