Synopsis: Our terse morning driver was bleeding from the head & yelled at members or our wedding party regarding payment. Our evening driver threatened to leave our remaining guests, wedding party, bride & groom because he did not read the schedule provided by our wedding planner & AGAIN thought he had not been paid when he had. I am giving 1 star for the clean & pretty trolley, but the humans involved made for an honestly terrible overall experience. I would NEVER recommend Cloud9 for an important event. Our major issue with Cloud9 was attempting to pay them, despite a contract & down payment from us. They make prepaying quite inconvenient, so we figured with everything else going on, no big deal we will hand them a card on the day. We tried to do this, however, they had no way to accept payment, were not able to process the apple card & therefore wanted to take pictures of our credit card & IDs (uncomfortable). They then demanded a different card, which we provided. However since we had now provided my Father in Laws card & the ID was my husbands, they had a melt down about this as well instead of calming solving it. They angrily called our wedding planner incessantly. Yelled at members of our wedding party, including the groom, during photos. After this was "resolved" & paid (keeping in mind that they are walking away with digital images of our IDs & credit cards..) this information was not communicated with our evening driver, who was AGAIN demanding payment from my Father in Law in front of a trolley full of guests. The driver even THREATENED TO LEAVE our remaining guests, wedding party, bride & groom because he thought he had not been paid when he had & he ALSO had our scheduled times wrong. My Father in Law had to pull up his account statement & show it to the driver in order for him to take us home AT THE CONTRACTED & PAID FOR TIME. Our venue closed at 12, we scheduled our additional two hour time (for MORE MONEY, a part of our signed contract from months before the wedding) from 10:15-12:15. The driver insisted that we should have been back at the hotel by 12 & again threatened to leave. All of this, coupled with an unfriendly, bleeding morning driver leads me to this review. The trolley itself was beautiful, it is a shame that it was absolutely ruined by our experience with Cloud9 employees. Do NOT entrust them with any important events. Additional: 1. Including a screenshot of the "payment options" sent to us, with no "easy and fast online pre-pay" option. The FIRST card provided was given WITH a matching ID. Your company was unable to process this apple card due to outdated & lacking payment processing options. Therefore in the scramble of our wedding day, we provided a NEW card for YOUR convenience & did not update the ID that had previously been given. 2. These raised voice conversations occurred outside of the trolley and/or when no music was playing at all. It did not "come across as yelling" it was raised voice, aggressive yelling. 3. We informed the driver of the blood on his head. He was unconcerned & did not attend to the situation. Regardless of why or how this injury occurred, I consider in unacceptable to have uncovered blood at my wedding or in any other public or professional setting. Do not hire this company! Absolutely rude drivers and management. We hired Cloud 9 to drive our wedding party around for pictures, to the venue, and then to come back in the evening and shuttle people back to the hotel. First, they refused to accept my Apple credit card because it doesn't have numbers on it (for security). The only way they would accept payment the day of was with a photograph of your ID and credit card, or cash. Really? You can't process a credit card without me giving a sketchy driver a photo of my ID and credit card? We came up with another credit card after having our wedding rudely interrupted by the driver and thought it was fine. Fast forward to the evening of the wedding. Cloud9 proceeded to call our wedding planner incessantly saying we hadn't paid them. At the end of the night, when the trolley was meant to shuttle our guests back to the hotel, we were told that we hadn't paid and they were leaving without us. On top of that they got the timing of the shuttle service wrong and tried to rush us out of the venue early. Not something you want to have to deal with on your wedding day! We finally got to the driver and showed him the charge on our credit card... they had been paid all along and made a giant fiasco out of nothing because they were greedy and impatient. I give Cloud 9 Limo a 5 out of 5! From the initial inquiry to the end of the graduation party, they were amazing. I sent an inquiry and got an immediate response with extremely reasonable pricing. Mind you, I booked less than a week before I needed the party bus. The day of the party, our driver Juan was on time and even helped us make adjustments to our stops because of bad traffic. We had a bunch of squealing 8th graders in back and he was patient in every way. He even pulled over to help them get the bluetooth working for their music. About and hour after we'd been dropped off, my husband realized he left his work computer bag in the front seat. I called the company, which was already closed. I got a call back in less than a minute and told the person what happened. They tracked down Juan who'd already gone home. He met my husband at 9pm to make sure he got his back for work the following morning. This company far exceeded my expectations and I will never call any other when I need a party bus. I recently spent the evening of my 10th anniversary at Taylor Swift with my daughter and 2 of her little friends (and their moms)....felt fitting for #10! The girls were as excited for their first concert as we were to see Taylor Swift in action. We weren't so excited that the concert is at Soldier Field, which (IMO) may be the worst concert venue in Chicago...mostly because they make it impossible to get out of the parking lot and for a car service to pick up near the field. Annnd walking a mile to a car several hours past bedtime with a bunch of little girls= nightmare! We decided our best bet was to find a car service that would be able to get as close to Soldier Field as possible. I did Request a Quote on Yelp and this was by far the most reasonable price ($300 round trip for a 6 passenger SUV) and they said they could find a meeting spot 10-15 minutes away. I emailed back and forth with Dan to make the arrangements and he was very nice and responsive. The big day arrived and Eddy showed up at my house at least 15 minutes early. We then spent almost 2 hours in the car with very excited (also obnoxious) little girls. When we apologized to Eddy he reminded us that he usually drove a party bus so wasn't fazed. He dropped us off right next to the filed and we had fun "shaking it off" with Taylor for several hours. As the girls were starting to lose their steam we received a text from Eddy with an image of where he was parked, which turned out to be right next to the Field Museum. We were a little worried it would take us forever to find him and one of the moms had to carry her exhausted daughter all the way there, but we had to walk only a few minutes until we found Eddy! So worth the $300...perhaps more! Eddy got us home in record time even making a stop at the JW Marriott so one of the girls could use the bathroom. He really went above and beyond and I'll be requesting him for all concert and other car service needs in the future. I used cloud9 for our wedding this past Saturday. We had reserved a party bus that fit 22 people. They arrived on time and got us where we needed to be, but I can only give 2 stars as we were only able to fit 14 people due to the very limited trunk storage. Don't plan to bring any bags if you want to seat your full party. Many of our guests who were supposed to ride with us had to find other transportation which was a nightmare. Also, the driver did not bother to show us how to work the audio so we rode in silence the first 10 mins of the trip (halfway to the ceremony). I would not use them again. read more

You definitely get what you pay for - the Party Bus and Limo we rented were nice but the service was not. At first when I finished paying for the transportation a week in advance, my contact told me that I would get the contact information for our drivers 24 hours in advance of our big day. So we go through the day before our wedding and I don't hear from my contact so I reach out to them midway through the day to see when I could expect the contact information for the drivers. Only now my contact told me that they do not share contact information out for drivers. I explained that this is not what he had told me less than a week earlier and pushed for the contact information so we could have someone to reach out to in the morning. VERY RELUCTANTLY the contact agreed but then didn't get me driver information until very late Friday night. We gave our contacts explicit instructions to contact our day-of coordinator since we had cars coming for two different groups. Instead, both drivers kept calling and texting me and did not take direction to reach out to our coordinator instead. But here's the best part - the limo that was suppose to take the bride and the mother of the bride to mass was 45 minutes late! Due to a literal miracle they still someone made it through 30 minutes of Chicago traffic to the church on time but it made for a much much more stressful morning than it needed to be. I first hooked up with Cloud9 several years ago after purchasing a Groupon for their limousine service. I travel quite a bit, and they are now the only limo service I use to the airports. They have always been on time, which is the my number one concern when having to make a plane. In fact, their policy is to arrive for your pickup 15 minutes early. Talk about no stress. The sedans have always been completely clean and comfortable, their pricing is very competitive, and they really seem to care about customer satisfaction. Over the years that I have used them for my many trips to O' Hare, I can honestly say I have never had a bad driver. Cloud9 seems to be able to attract excellent and polite chauffeurs. Cloud9 must be doing a lot of things well. I notice on their website that they have grown from the small company I hooked up with in 2012, to where they now offer party buses, and several other forms of transportation vehicles. I assume that this business is a very competitive one, and Cloud9 seems to have been able to prosper and grow in the competitive environment. I ordered a 20 person party bus for my wedding from Cloud 9 and was very happy with the services. First off, they were flexible with me when I changed the pickup destinations a day before the wedding. We also ran over the 3 hour timeline that we were set to have the bus and it wasn't a problem to extend the timeline on the day of the wedding. We selected Cloud9 limo for a 25 person passenger bus for our wedding in September 2018. I actually did some extensive online research for limo/bus companies that serviced the west suburbs of Chicago and Cloud9 was one of the most attractive ones that would fit our needs due to (1) good pricing (2) great quality of the selection of transportation options (newer vehicles/buses). They are a legitimate company as some other limos do not even have a decent website or seem to have an address and what gave me comfort in selecting them is that they were always responsive/available whether it was by phone or email. Roberto was our driver and he was there on time. He texted me from his phone once he arrived at the hotel. He arrived 15 min earlier than planned which is always a great thing. He such a nice gentleman and ensured that we were all good/ready before we took off from one location to another. Overall, he was/is a great driver as we had about 20 people in the bus and it was a smooth ride. He delivered us timely and safely from all of our locations/destinations. Used Cloud9 for our bridal party transportation for photos. I requested quotes from 2 additional businesses - Cloud9 was the first one to reply back with a quote. The other to places took 4 days or did not reply back at all. Total number of people on the bus was 19, so the flat rate 22 person bus w. unlimited miles was an amazing deal, especially since we were going from the west suburbs to downtown Chicago back to suburbs. The driver was very polite and professional. Driver was on time. We made multiple stops Downtown and were able to obtain all the photo locations we wanted. They had water bottles ready along with a bottle of champagne and cups. Bus was very, very clean, had colorful party lights and was comfortable. I recommend their service 100%. Max - the main point of contact is very helpful with finding what you need and confirming with you prior to the day-of. read more

This company has been reliable in the past, but they did not handle cancellations during COVID-19 well at all. I cancelled services 8 days ahead of the scheduled time, and they said they would honor the cancellation with only a $45 cancellation fee. This was in March when the country and several resorts and islands were shutting down. Our trip was cancelled due to the pandemic not because we didn't want to go. I understand businesses lost a lot of money with cancellations, but this is TERRIBLE customer service. The pandemic was neither mine nor the company's fault, but they want me to pay full price for services they didn't provide. read more

Everything was great and the party bus was great for our purpose of taking us to our photo sites! The only slight knock was the driver didn't really know the best routes so that slightly added to our travel time (and thus took away from our photo time) and the blinds were really hard to pull up (which made it weird in the middle of the day to sit in pitch black lol) but those are super minor. read more

This is going to be a long one. Okay. Where do I begin... Let's start with, you're late. After seeing negative reviews, I decided to still give this company a try. I met them at a bridal show in Schaumburg and thought they were nice enough. Let's try it. I booked my reservation in February for my wedding in October. I worked with Dan and Max and they were responsive enough. A little glitchy at times when I didn't get the email confirmation and then the booked receipt. But in the end, I did receive them. To keep myself at ease, I confirmed the booking in August, again, took a few days to get a response but I did. I was assured that I have a bus booked. Great. In September I called and moved my reservation from 1:30pm to 1pm. Got the email to confirm that the change was made. Awesome. The night before I got a reminder email that said my bus will arrive at 1pm. Fantastic. My bus arrived at 1:30pm. I had my event planner called them when they didn't show at 1pm. They said my appointment was for 1:30pm. Did I mention that I got 2 email that said my driver were to arrive at 1pm. One on Sept, 30 and the one on the date of my wedding at 12:01pm. Okay fine, forget it, the bus is here let's get the show on the road. I have to say inside the party bus it was nice, it was clean, and it was packed with water and ice and cups. It was great. The music was cool the lights were fun and the drive down to take the photos were smooth. We stopped at Wrigley Field, the bus parked waited for us while we took photos, great, than we head to the Planetarium. Only this time, our bus driver ALLOWED STRANGERS TO ENTER OUR BUS!!! Yes, we have all our possessions all laid out everywhere and he just let random people go into our bus to look around. Unacceptable. One of our groomsmen caught him red handed. Fortunately, no one lost anything. Then on the ride back the bus broke down. I was in my wedding gown, stranded off the expressway. The driver called it in and they didn't know when someone could pick us up. Our ceremony were to start in 40 minutes. I'm standing there my heart in a panic when he comes back to my fiancé and I and said oh I spoke with the mechanic and I think I fixed it. We refused to go back into the bus. Again, he didn't know when we were going to be picked up, they didn't have a bus any where near where we are. We ended up called 3 XL Ubers to take us back to the hall just in time for the ceremony. That following Monday, my husband called them, or tired to. He called every number I had and they were all disconnected. He emailed them and one of them said the owner will call my husband back. That was 3 weeks ago. Nothing. Fortunately, as they were trying to run our credit card for the remainder of the payment he couldn't get the app to work. So he didn't get a chance to get our payment. If he did I feel like we'd still be fighting to get our money back. I had high hopes for you guys. Despite all the bad reviews I gave you guys a try. I was very disappointed. read more

I give this company zero stars! Never in my life have I had such horrible customer service and blatant discrimination. Here is why: 1. Company is racially discriminatory. Once this company's driver came to my "black" area he automatically assumed that the sound of local fireworks were gunshots! Given this, while we were in the house gathering our belongings he left us! Never at ANY point did he call to inform us that he was leaving nor did he answer our many phone calls thereafter.  2. The company showed no remorse and provided Zero alternatives.  When I spoke to cloud 9 and questioned the decisions of the driver I was told they "could not force their driver to come back" they also said he felt unsafe in this "neighborhood". When I demanded that a resolution be provided I was told there was nothing they could do because it was a busy night and that they have no other drivers.  3. Company would not accept our alternatives.  Despite our significant inconvenience my guests and I were willing to go to another location that made the driver feel more "comfortable". Even that attempt to resolve the situation was denied as the driver felt there would be too much "tension" (whatever that means). Despite our many attempts to resolve the situation...each proposal was denied. Beyond that...why am I the customer having to come up with alternatives as opposed to the company??? Just ridiculous!  Lastly, the representative at the dispatch center (Max) was rude and unhelpful. I explained that over 30 guests had traveled to Chicago for this occasion he replies that he "didn't know what to tell me".  Stay far away from this company!! Despite the obvious discriminatory treatment, this is a company that will bail on their customer at the last minute, have no alternatives to accommodate and not even have the decency to call you and explain what the hell is going on. They will just disappear and not think twice about it. read more

I used Cloud 9 for my 30th birthday party a couple weeks ago. I got the 26 person limo bus. In the weeks leading up to my party, the company was quick to respond to questions I had. The bus showed up on time with a friendly driver. The vehicle was as advertised: nice, clean, and had the necessary bells and whistles (stereo, cooler, stripper pole). The price I was charged was also ~20% less than the 6 or 7 other companies I got quotes from, with no hidden charges. I would definitely use them again. read more

I booked Cloud 9 because of its glowing reviews. However, on the day of our wedding, our shuttle didn't show up to the hotel to pick up our guests and transport them to the venue. I only found out because I (and members of my family) received calls and texts from guests saying the shuttle hadn't arrived. Everyone ended up taking Lyfts/Ubers/cabs at their own expense, even though I had coordinated transport for them. To add insult to injury, the driver called me (the bride) about 15 times - calls I didn't receive because I was taking pictures on my wedding day - even though our day-of coordinator had reached out in advance to all vendors (including Cloud 9) with her information and an instruction to contact her. The return shuttle was late, and our coordinator had a difficult time getting ahold of the driver (driver didn't answer, voicemail full). We reached out to Cloud 9 after the fact and asked for a refund of some of the cost. Cloud 9 apologized, but pushed back and tried to blame the issue on me and our day-of coordinator, saying that we provided the wrong hotel address (which was true, but I corrected it - and they acknowledged the correction - 3 weeks before the wedding, and sent a confirmation with the correct address the day before the wedding), and that the day-of coordinator never called the driver. They ultimately agreed to refund half of the total amount paid, but we're still waiting on part of the payment. It has been over 6 months and despite our many calls and emails, Cloud 9 sill owes us $250. I do not recommend this company. read more

Awesome limo service! My only complaints are that I requested dancing poles and there were none, as well as it took a while for our music to play in all the speakers. AVOID this company. If I could review it with 0 stars, I would. This is a lengthy review - My wedding was almost 3 weeks ago, and I've waited to post a review because I wanted to see if they would actually do anything about my experience with them. I'm not surprised to say that almost 3 weeks have past and NOTHING has been said to me in terms of resolution. I have sent emails, texts, and have called to try and find some sort of resolution and have been ignored. In short: -I reserved a 26 passenger bus for 4 pick ups. 3:15pm, 4:15pm, 6pm and midnight. -3 days before my wedding I'm told that I actually have smaller buses and there's nothing that can be done (this is told to me by a representative) - due to the company "selling buses" which is obviously not the client's fault. -Upon speaking to the manager, we're able to "make it work" aka me trying to be positive because everyone else is booked for saturday by now -The night before my wedding I'm told the bus he told me I'd now have has now been booked by someone else and we will now have YET another smaller bus. -Due to this, some of my guests had to stand to fit in the limo -None of the drivers knew where they were going - ever On the Wednesday of our wedding day (3 days before our wedding, 8 months after my initial contact with them) I was told that the bus' I reserved would actually NOT be showing up, and I'd have a 16 person bus pick us up for our 3 and 4pm pick ups. EVEN THOUGH I had initially booked for the 2010 26 passenger bus to accommodate my wedding party AND guests. We "resolved" said issue - but then the night before my wedding I'm emailed by the manager and told that the new 6:00pm bus was now booked for someone else and we would be given yet another smaller bus. The 3pm driver didn't know how to get to the venue. He took alleyways, wrong ways, and arrived to drop my first guests 5 minutes before his second pick up was scheduled. Here's my issue - I requested a 4:15pm pick for this sole reason, but the company sent me the itinerary that day saying it would be there at 4pm. So at 4pm I rushed my bridal party and remaining guests to the front of the hotel, thus rushing our pre-ceremony photos because of my need to always be on time for things. To my dismay - the 4:00pm pickup would be another 25 minutes before it's arrival. SO now, myself (THE BRIDE) is running late to get the mic put on for my ceremony. & furthermore - late to the wedding. Back to the 6:00 bus that I was told the night before that would be smaller than I was told on Wednesday - We had told our family that they could come take photos for us. You see, when a person reserves a bus - they then have the option to invite or un-invite people to their own discretion. That's the awesome part of reserving something ahead of time; it is to YOUR discretion. Not the company's. So, at 6pm, we had to tell 3 individuals that they would now have to STAND for the ride. Did I mention that the 6pm driver circled the block 4 times while we were all standing outside of stan mansion? The driver agreed to take us to the nearby park, instead took us back downtown.. Therefore we eturned to our venue 30 minutes late to the reception. The limo that was to pick us up from our wedding at the end of the night? Was also 30 minutes late, and 2 of my groomsmen had to run a few blocks to help him find his way to the venue. A company that I reserved WELL IN ADVANCE bc I wanted to avoid any mishaps, gave me the worst customer service EVER! AVOID THIS COMPANY! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU, JUST THEIR MONEY. I have not heard back from them after emails, and phone calls either. I was told today that I would hear back by 5pm, and it's 5:30...surprise, surprise. Update: at 6:41 I received an email stating they are investigating with one of the drivers and the manager I was in communication with and that I'll receive a call by noon tomorrow. Update: 10/27/2016 - I emailed them at 12:35 asking for an estimated time to expect a phone call. At 2pm Max called and said he can offer $150 and that he lost money in this contract, oh and that his drivers were 30 mins late was bc our venue was in a mansion (it's name is Stan Mansion). $150 was my security deposit and that's all he could offer...even though I paid for a service that was not even given to me. His additional excuse was that they don't offer sporadic pickups..Ok, then why do I have emails from FEBRUARY where I specifically said "if your company doesn't offer this, please let me know so I can look elsewhere." If your manager promises a service - that's not the client's issue after that. You make it happen. If I'm paying for a 26 passenger bus, why am I making my guest fit in a 16 passenger bus?! Why book my buses for anyone else? Y would they hold priority over my contract which I signed in June?! Needless to say, I've contacted my lawyer and I plan on receiving all of my money back. We had a great time renting a party bus with Chicago Cloud 9. They had the best pricing of the companies that I reached out to, and the bus was new, clean and had a great sound system. The driver was on time and ready to go for both legs of our trip. I would recommend Chicago Cloud 9 if you are looking to get a party bus for any sort of activity. read more

A friend rented this bus service for a group of us to go into Chicago last night. The bus & driver left much to be desired. Driver drove like an idiot breaking every 2 seconds making many of us car sick. Finally stopped after someone complained to him to night right the tail of the car in front of him. The bus had a stinky odor and the ice cooler was leaking all over the floor making it an accident waiting to happen. The driver never even got out of the vehicle to greet any of us or make sure we were on/ off the bus safely. AND the emergency exit door which said, pull knob in case of emergency to open this door...had NO knob! Plus being from the area....I cannot understand why the driver chose the routes he did. There were much better ways to get us from point A to point B Will never use or recommend this company again. read more

The company is great, they have great buses/shuttles and are very nice. The only reason I have any concern with them is that the driver was not prepared as to directions in downtown rush hour traffic. He went a VERY long way around and what was supposed to be an 11 minute drive took 50, which meant the next crew (including our CEO) was left in the lobby waiting for 45 minutes. Our limousine was infested with fruit flies and one of the windows leaked, so the rain from outside splattered onto the bridal party.

We booked a limo bus with Cloud 9 limo service for our wedding. The price was super competitive for the size of bus offered. I spoke with Max when setting up the booking - making it very clear I needed 2 runs from the hotel to the wedding venue for guests and the wedding party. I also stressed that the bus needed to depart with passengers at 4:30 in order to accomplish this. It was stated that the driver would be prompt, if not a few minutes early. A deposit was paid and we were told cash must be collected upon the drivers arrival. The day of the wedding, I received a call from my mother stating the bus was not there, at 4:40. I had my brother follow up with Cloud 9 who was told the driver "was only 6 minutes late" and would be there shortly. When the bus finally arrived, at 4:48, a decision was made to only make one trip with the bus (as other intended passengers found different means of transportation since they were now late). The driver startled my mother, making her sign a contract and needing to see her ID - this detail was NEVER disclosed to me in the initial booking. All I was informed is someone needed to pay the driver - which an envelope of cash was there for them. Our return driver was prompt with the 10:30pm pick up and even offered to run later than booked at no extra charge. We extended our time by roughly 20 minutes taking him up on this offer. Overall the booking process was easy, the price was great - but pertinent communication was lacking and the late driver caused intended passengers added expense to get where they needed to be. read more

We used a party bus from them for our wedding. They were on time to pick us up and drive us to our ceremony. However, when we paid (which you do before getting on the bus) the driver instantly asked about a tip which was slightly tacky. After the ceremony we looked for the bus and could not find it, the driver was supposedly getting gas, so we had to wait roughly 10 minutes before getting picked up from our ceremony to get to our reception. All together the experience was good, the bus was clean and the sound quality was great for the music. read more
