I will say 8/10 times I take the CTA blue line to the airport and back, during normal "commuter hours" but after a few long weeks of holiday travels, a bit more than a single carry-on bag and my flights being massively delayed by airline issues, I was simply exhausted and did not want to take the train or deal with shifty Ubers so late in the night - safety first friends! Thankfully I was given NM as a referral a while back by a friend and I had already plugged the contact info into my phone. She told me she uses this Private Car service because they are reliable and always on time for pickups. I can now confirm this is true! As an FYI: Typically they ask you to submit a request online and wait for an email back but I was literally sitting on the flight like a hostage on the tarmac for well over an hour while the airline dealt with their mechanical issues when I thought to txt NM to see if it was possible to accommodate a same night (aka last minute) reservation for pickup at O'hare. The owner Neil Martinez promptly txt me back saying he was already near the airport and could do it no problem, ***huge sigh of relief*** then asked for my name and flight details. Neil txt me a link to confirm and pay invoice only minutes after. Let me just say, when you are on the last leg of a long trip and all you want to do is be home, this felt like such a GODSEND! Thank you Neil for putting me at ease after a long day of wild travel rebooking and further delays. I am a huge fan of efficiency and I always prefer to support small businesses wherever possible. My flight eventually took off and when my plane landed, I immediately received a txt from Neil that a driver named Muhammad would meet me curbside. I have used professional transport companies in business travels across many other cities, so I had set expectations to align with the price-point being 3x more than an Uber X. Trust me, Professionalism matters!! Usually the drivers are welcoming, dressed in a suit, help with luggage, offer water and strike up polite conversation - but not Mohammad. He was looking for someone in a pink dress, I was in a grey tracksuit and black puffy winter coat. He called me two different names, but I didn't bother to correct him but it's these little things I take notice of when I pay for premium service vs the janky Uber drivers out there lol!! A kind airport employee helped lift my luggage and opened the car door for me to get in because I was clearly struggling and it was snowing out to boot. I was a bit annoyed Muhammad just stood there talking on his phone instead of helping me but it all worked out and I got home safely most importantly. The car was a nice clean black Lincoln Navigator SUV, it was very easy to spot from the curb with the license plate details Neil sent. I provided the exact address to my home and we started the drive to the city. About 10 minutes into the trip I asked if the driver had a bottle of water for me (usually drivers like this ask you before they start driving if you want water or hand sanitizer). He did hand me a bottle which I quickly consumed. When we arrived at my front door, I requested Muhammad help to take my luggage up to my building doors which he kindly obliged. Overall, I will certainly use NM transport services again. Especially for a very last minute booking, I appreciate how exceptional Neil communicated with me from the first txt all the way until the driver pickup. He was very professional and patient as I had never ordered a car service for anyone, let alone my daughter and her husband on their return from their honeymoon. He rolled with the changes in their flight arrival and communicated with me as well as my daughter to coordinate the pick up. I was a loyal customer to another car service for many years, but when my favorite driver moved on from the other service AND they forgot to pick me up at the airport because their new driver fell asleep while waiting for me (mid day) at O'hare I decided it was time to explore other options. The drivers are timely, friendly and no one has fallen asleep while picking me up (clearly I have high expectations :)) The owner of NM, Neil, has driven me himself a few times and he's lovely. The drivers who work for him also have really great things to say about him, which always says a lot. While competitively priced to other car services it's still quite a bit more than uber ($72 to the airport from Glencoe), but I prefer the convenience, safety and reliability of using NM Private Car Service especially when traveling during the wee hours of morning/night. read more

We went with this company because of the rave Yelp reviews. Pros: Great communication & easy to of book through Neil. Cons: Actual rides were subpar which makes me wonder about all the 5-stars. I wasn't impressed with the first driver. He wasn't very friendly, and the car smelled like a mix of smoke and a crazy amount of air fresheners. The air conditioner was on so high that my hair was blowing around like I was standing by the lake in The Windy City. When I went to turn the vent above my head I couldn't because one of the oil air fresheners was there! We also waited over 20 minutes at the curb of ORD for him. I know it's a busy airport, but I was the one to keep texting/calling for status updates. I would expect the driver to communicate better. At one point he did text to ask what airline we came in on. That's information I provided in advance, and I'd expect a driver to have that for an airport pickup. Our second ride back to the airport was nice and right on time, but not a typical black service car. It was a basic Kia minivan. For the price of a car service, we expected a more upscale vehicle. If you need a point A to point B service, they'll get the job done. I'm not sure it was worth the extra cost. read more
