I really like it though I personally would have enjoyed a bit more heat, but that is just me. My one complaint about them was the crispiness. They are supposed to be Korean chicken and they lacked some crispiness. That would have brought my rating down to 4. The reason I gave them a 3 was because the tables were not sanitized between guests. I was there a little whenever someone else was done the tables were left alone instead ofbeing sanitized. I will give them credit for having a hand washing station in the dining area though. The tables really need sanitized between people at the very least. If it was just the food it was 4 stars. I was skeptical about the fries as the base but it was great! I would like to try both their rice and salad greens the next time I go. I didn't love this place but I didn't hate it. We can here on a week night. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the place was moderately full. It's a fast food/casual concept. You order at the register and take a number. The food is delivered to you at your table. Extra condiments are located near the soda machine. We ordered a bunch of things to share, including 2 types of fries (Poutine and Chicken Bulgogi) and an order of 10 pc wings in their house sauce. The fries are waffle fries and tasted JUST like the Chick-fil-A ones. I didn't care for the Poutine one. The gravy wasn't an actual cheese sauce but more like a sauce made out of grits. It was thick and gelatinous and tasted very metallic like. The Chicken Bulgogi one was way better and I would definitely have these again. My only complaint is that I didn't like how the toppings were only on top because then the rest of the fries didn't have any topping. My friend also agreed and felt like the toppings should have been more dispersed. The wings were eh. They were crispy and flavorful on the outside but the meat felt a little gamey to me and there was a slight aftertaste that I can't quite put my finger on but definitely made me hesitate to have more. My friend loves wings and also thought the wings weren't the best. I would be willing to come back to try the other items on the menu, like the bowls or sandwiches. The gojujang sauce is their house sauce and has a honey sweetness beginning and a spicy finish. Yuzu lemon pepper is more of a seasoning rub, but was delicious. The buffalo garlic is my favorite so far! The buffalo garlic wasn't too vinegary, which was great. I loved the fresh bits of garlic, but wish there was more. The pricing is a little high, but it's not too bad. The chicken itself is very tender and moist! The location is adorable with funny signs around the dining area. When I heard that there would be a Korean fried chicken(KFC) spot opening here in Orlando I was more than ecstatic to try it out. I wouldn't necessarily say I had high expectations as I did with Bon Chon but I did have high hopes because it is unfortunate that I'd only ever have it in Georgia or Virginia. Food: I honestly was very disappointed. The only thing that made it resemble KFC is the crunch with each bite. However the breading was a bit off as it had the texture of tempura batter. We ordered 10 of each flavor and my biggest complaint is, where is the sauce? I'm not sure who decided to make it a good idea to not toss the chicken around in the assigned sauce. Instead what you get instead is the sauce if any laying on the bottom of the bowl and a little drizzle on top. The soy garlic which is the most common flavor in the KFC offering tasted like honey and that's it. Yes honey is actually a component but where was the soy garlic? I've had a lot of KFCs ranging from Bon Chon, Choong Man, Chi Mc, and never seen any done like this. Again this was their soft opening so this review is based solely on my day 1 experience. It has potential to be a really great spot, but definitely needs some work done. If you're claiming for it to be KFC it has to at least have the basics then you can add your own flare to it. Lastly, a quick hazard warning. Upon entry, the floor is unleveled and has a steep incline. A lot of people, myself included almost tripped over and fell. There really should be a warning sign or for the workers to be vocal in identifying the potential premise liability to customers coming in. Overall, I would love to see this place grow and provide Orlando with the KFC needs with it being in such a centralized and busy area of town. I will follow up and see how things fare off in a few weeks time but as of how things are now, it will need some improvements. read more

After coming to Orlando to visit some friends, we all settled on meeting up at Chi-Kin. We've had Korean fried chicken at a couple of different places, but this one was definitely unique! The atmosphere is like a modern barn vibe in a good way and the place filled up pretty quickly for lunch. Luckily we got there before the rush and our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the lunch special five wings with sweet soy as the flavor! The wings were a little too sweet in my opinion, however, the fries really stole the show and they had a seasoning with a very mild kick! Um can we say that these are some of the best tenders I've EVER had? You know when you order tenders somewhere and it's like 75% batter, 25% chicken and you die a little inside? No dying here. These tenders are extra-large, extra-crunch, extra-flavorful. With an extensive list of sauces, it's hard to choose but we went for the hot gochujang and the spicy honey. Both we delish but the hot gochujang reigns king. We also opted for the bulgogi chicken fries. Waffle fries are superior, and in this case it creates the perfect little vessels for all the toppings- scallions, sesame seeds, spicy mayo, and perfectly saucy chicken. This is a perfect place to share a meal since the portions are significant, plus they have tons of seating! They also have some vegan items on the menu so you can bring all of your friends! If i could compare it to anything it would be a better quality Chick-fil-A. Instead of a filet, they use 2 tenders and there's more breading on the chicken, making it crispier. Ample amount of fries for one person and love the seasoning they put on it. Last but not least the Mac and cheese was different, but in a good way. They use rotini noodles and a white cheese rather than your everyday Mac, and they finish it off by dusting it with Parmesan or something on top. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area!
