Everything was lovely! We have been to Chez Nous a number of times each time was a special evening, even if we weren't celebrating anything special The ambiance is so cozy, you feel like you're in a small French Restaurant The service is always excellent Last night we had a set menu for Valentine's Day Wonderful choices, all was delicious Price is expected for an b upscale dinner Just Wonderful!

Chez Nous a French inspired restaurant in the middle of a really nice cottage like neighborhood. The staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable on their menu. They gave great suggestions for the evening. The vintage restaurant feel was warm and comforting. The white table cloth service makes you feel like youre really fancy. The food courses were very unique; starter of a fried sheet pasta with goat cheese salad, not what I expected. I was expecting an actual pasta salad with that name. Then the most butter soft pork chop that melted away in my mouth with light whipped potatoes.... were great with the exception of a super salty gravy put atop. The dessert trifle for sure was just a bit on the dry side but had a great raspberry sherry angel food cake feel. Over all for the price I would definitely go for the experience but maybe not for the price since they even charge to box the left overs. Parking is along the side of the restaurant or neighborhood street.

This hidden gem is nestled in the middle of a residential neighborhood, here in Humble, TX. It is a countryside French restaurant that offers everything a person desiring authentic French cuisine could wish for. Romance, ambiance, attentive knowledgeable staff, beautiful presentation and a great menu. Each dish is individually prepared and seasoned perfectly. My wife and I have been coming here for 10 years. Chef Stacey is the real deal and as a former restaurant owner, I know what level of prep and expertise it takes to put out consistent, high quality European dishes offered here. Get on the mailing list and takes advantage of the special offerings Chef Stacey puts out throughout the year. Her "price fix" menu is superb and offers a price point that allows you to visit more frequently. Bon appetite. Read less Price fix menu, main course. Salmon, Teres Major steak

Classic gastronomic experiences are not what comes to mind when Humble is mentioned, but Chez Nuos stands alone as a unique restaurant offering French inspired dishes on another level. First and foremost, looks can be deceiving when it comes to Chez Nuos. They are smack dab in a residential area. The interior isn't showy with modernity or chic vibes, but instead, a cozy cottage feel with simple paintings and drapery matching the wallpaper. The menu is straight forward with well prepared classics. We marveled at the excellent execution of each dish. First must is to order the complementary baguette warmed, as it is only served warm by request. Second order of business is to order the charcuterie board. It will transport you to Europe with the taste. From the cherry jelly topped mousse, to the smoked duck breast, this board was awesome in terms of textures and flavors. The pickled pearl onions, caramelized onions, and cornichons paired well the proteins. We were presented with some toasted bread when I asked for crackers. As for the mains, I settled on the duck, which came with confit and sliced breast meat drizzled with sauce. The meat was deliciously tender. My one criticism was that I wish the thigh skin was crisped up like I have had at other places. It makes a world of difference. My dining partner ordered the pork ribeye, which was an off menu special for the day. I had reservations about the accompanying blueberry sauce, but wow! It complimented the savory fatty pork well. Speaking of the pork, it was a perfectly cooked piece of meat and oh so tender and juicy. We substituted the risotto out for potatoes and veg, and it was perfect. We ended our meal with the light and lightly sweetened soufflé. Go ahead and order this with your mains because it takes twenty five minutes to prepare. We both agreed that was a fantastic and memorable meal, and it's definitely worth another visit with a special occasion in mind.

This is a very traditional French restaurant opened in humble old street, so humble old street actually have a so authentic taste of the French restaurant is really amazing, the owner is a famous French chef, so it is really very attentive in the cooking of each dish, very art very delicious and good-looking! The service is also amazing Charcuterie Platter, the cup of foie gras from France is absolutely amazing, I dug through it in one gulp and still savored it, and the smoked duck breast was also super delicious! Escargot, the escargot was full of rich flavor of herbs and butter, and the bread was super flavorful. The chef recommended the pork, which was very tender, but I actually thought the roasted Brussels sprouts were better than the meat. French grilled lamb chops, burnt on the outside and tender on the inside, the meat is delicious and juicy, exudes a charming herb and garlic flavor, every bite makes people feel the rich layers and rich French flavor, the waiter will be very ceremonial at the table to give you a good cut of the sauce, nice! The classic French duck leg and duck breast in oil, the outer skin is golden and crispy, the inside is tender and juicy, paired with Burgundy poached pears in red wine, which balances out the richness of the duck leg in oil. After the main course, the waiter will push the dessert cart to introduce you to the most favorite dessert: Chocolate Charcuterie, a variety of chocolate with flowers and nuts ice cream.

If you stop anyone on the road and ask , maybe dont, its not the good old times...lol... but if you did ...and asked for a good eatery around, they will without fail direct you to Paulette's. Its a bakery cum lunch place. They close by around 3 pm if I remember correctly..... It was a slightly drizzly but hot afternoon when we stopped here. I really wanted something cold, so settled for Frappe. The rest of the order consisted of an eclairs, a pizza, and some macaroons. Everything came out fresh and just so fragrant, maybe it was the hunger...no, I remember distinctly my eyes expectingly looking at the kitchen door from where I could the see pizza getting made...so it must have been the smell.... Macaroons were tiny, but good, the eclairs was really good A great stop, they do close early like most stores around the area so if you want a bite, stop here first, then explore.

Since it was in the evening, we were the only ones there which made for a nice, quiet experience. We ordered the Margherita pizza and it was really cheesy with good flavor. I especially enjoyed the crust, it had a really nice texture and taste. We also tried the Norwegian crepe. It was okay, but honestly, it wasn't quite as good as I expected. The cream served on the side, however, was really good! We finished with some plain beignets to take to go. They were good, but probably not something I would order again. Overall, the staff was friendly, the restaurant had beautiful decor, and the bathrooms were clean. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area, but next time I'll try a different crepe!

We started with the French onion soup and deviled eggs. French onion soup was good with the appropriate amount for gruyere and bread and soup. The deviled eggs was their signature appetizer. It was good but not as silly as others we have had. The trout caviar gave it a nice pop and taste. For mains, we ordered the steak frites and short rib beef bouginon. Presentation-wise, the NY strip was sliced and had extras like rosemary butter, grilled garlic and onion. The bad is that it looked and tasted like a cheap cut of NY strip. There was sinew running halfway in the middle of the steak so made it tough to chew. I started discarding those pieces. The fries were delicious... and we ordered the truffle version with an upcharge. For the beef bouginon, the beef was tender but came in one big chunk. I've not see it served that way before. Beef was stringy and considering it's supposed to be short rib, it was lean IMO. The stew was decent with chunks of potato, carrot and pearl onions. For dessert, we ordered the Profilotores and Blueberry parfait. Thought the Profilotores was yummy! Paired with big scoops of ice cream makes it had to beat. The parfait was a soft cheesecake with big blueberry and sauce for toppings. It was a good choice... delicious as well. Overall, ambiance and service were great! The food esp the mains were a disappointment. Hope they spend a little more for a better cut of beef. Hard to justify going back unless somebody asks to go. Giving 4 stars as ambiance and service were 5/5 and food were 3/5.

I had the citrus chicken, while my family ordered the mushroom ravioli and spaghetti. Everything was delicious, and the fresh-squeezed lemonade was wonderful! I also tried a lavender mocktail. Nothing special about the pepperoni pizza at all. The melted Raclette was really fancy and delicious. They came out with melted cheese and scraped it onto our bread and prosciutto. Palo Alto dip was weird, but pretty good too. I don't think I've ever eaten anything like that. The bow tie pasta was ok. The Citrus Chicken and Beef Bourguigon were very tasty and flavorful. Overall, a bit pricey, but the food portions were generous and the quality on some of these dishes were worth it. The staff here were fast and friendly. I had come to eat, after all. The Octopus Carpaccio was the highlight. Thin slices of octopus paired with Spanish chorizo and peppers made for an absolutely divine combination. The presentation drew me in, but the flavors held my attention. This is the dish I would return for. The Parisian Gnocchi, served with summer squash, chanterelles, and basil, offered something different from the potato-based versions I'm accustomed to. The flour-based preparation was interesting and enjoyable, though the portion felt small for an entrée. I found myself studying the arrangement, partly in admiration and partly to establish whether there might be another gnocchi hiding somewhere. The heirloom tomato and watermelon salad was my least favorite. I didn't think the cucumbers worked particularly well with the other ingredients, and the result felt fairly ordinary despite its beautiful presentation. At $26, I wanted something more memorable. The Midnight Orchard was my favorite cocktail. Its blueberry-infused bourbon, turbinado syrup, and plum and orange bitters made it a standout. Le Carajillo was another highlight: Licor 43, pandan, and espresso came together remarkably smoothly--probably the smoothest carajillo I've had. The evening finished with the Valrhona dark chocolate dessert, accompanied by caramel sabayon and white chocolate ice cream. Naomi deserves particular recognition. She knew every dish down to the fine details and answered questions with an ease that reflected how thoroughly she understood the menu. She was also unfailingly polite and welcoming. Her knowledge helped me appreciate what was on the plate, and her hospitality made the evening that much more enjoyable. Then came the bill: $167.78 before tip, for me alone. Apparently, admiring the art and acquiring it have more in common than I thought. The price didn't erase the pleasure of dinner, but it did give me pause. I didn't leave hungry, though I didn't feel full either. In fairness, I chose lighter dishes, so my ordering likely contributed. Still, portion size and price remain part of the experience, even when the food is beautifully executed. The setting and service were five stars, and the octopus and drinks gave me plenty to recommend. The value was harder to embrace. Four stars overall: a memorable evening, made better by Naomi, with a few exceptional highlights and a price that makes returning a considered decision.

Although the escargot was tender and well seasoned, I'd hoped for a more garlicky butter. For entrees, we tried the boeuf bourgignon (beef braised in red wine) - tender and classically rich and savory; the risotto with seafood - flavorful, yet light; and the magret de canard roti (roasted duck breast). Ever since I had a bad experience with duck at another French restaurant (it was so gamey, we didn't eat it) I've been hesitant to order it, even though I love roast duck. It's been quite a long time since I was here and as I was in the neighborhood I decided to stop by again today. Remembering how good they were last time, I ordered the Oma's Frikadellen (grandma's recipe for all-beef meatballs). I like a good German meatball and these were tender and juicy. There was a choice of red cabbage or sauerkraut as a side; having confirmed they made the sauerkraut in-house themselves, had to order that because I know it's super healthy to eat. Better yet, that sauerkraut was almost perfect with a great flavor, but not too tart and just really a delicious version. Honestly I could've eaten a huge bucket load of that sauerkraut and I may buy some to go someday just to have it on hand in my refrigerator; a slight warm and it would be a wonderful side to serve guests. Dessert was a wow! I wanted to try a dessert that they made themselves and so I couldn't help but go with one of the dessert specials of the day. There were several options available not on the menu and although it was tempting to try the tiramisu or one of the three versions of crème brûlée they make, I decided to go with their homemade limoncello cake which turned out to be a delicious choice that I'm very happy about. Waiter Ty said it was one of his favorite desserts here and I could taste why -- moist cake, flavor-filled filling, whipped cream and with blueberries to decorate the plate. In fact it was so yummy that I decided that so someday soon I would order one with a couple days notice and then take it to my family's place next time I go over for dinner - what I don't know is whether I'll tell them the truth or try and pretend that I made it myself LOL :-) Update: the next day I did call to order an entire cake and it didn't last very long once the family dug in, got gobbled up because it had an intense great lemon flavor, wonderful.
