Everything was lovely! We have been to Chez Nous a number of times each time was a special evening, even if we weren't celebrating anything special The ambiance is so cozy, you feel like you're in a small French Restaurant The service is always excellent Last night we had a set menu for Valentine's Day Wonderful choices, all was delicious Price is expected for an b upscale dinner Just Wonderful!

Chez Nous a French inspired restaurant in the middle of a really nice cottage like neighborhood. The staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable on their menu. They gave great suggestions for the evening. The vintage restaurant feel was warm and comforting. The white table cloth service makes you feel like youre really fancy. The food courses were very unique; starter of a fried sheet pasta with goat cheese salad, not what I expected. I was expecting an actual pasta salad with that name. Then the most butter soft pork chop that melted away in my mouth with light whipped potatoes.... were great with the exception of a super salty gravy put atop. The dessert trifle for sure was just a bit on the dry side but had a great raspberry sherry angel food cake feel. Over all for the price I would definitely go for the experience but maybe not for the price since they even charge to box the left overs. Parking is along the side of the restaurant or neighborhood street.

This hidden gem is nestled in the middle of a residential neighborhood, here in Humble, TX. It is a countryside French restaurant that offers everything a person desiring authentic French cuisine could wish for. Romance, ambiance, attentive knowledgeable staff, beautiful presentation and a great menu. Each dish is individually prepared and seasoned perfectly. My wife and I have been coming here for 10 years. Chef Stacey is the real deal and as a former restaurant owner, I know what level of prep and expertise it takes to put out consistent, high quality European dishes offered here. Get on the mailing list and takes advantage of the special offerings Chef Stacey puts out throughout the year. Her "price fix" menu is superb and offers a price point that allows you to visit more frequently. Bon appetite. Read less Price fix menu, main course. Salmon, Teres Major steak

Classic gastronomic experiences are not what comes to mind when Humble is mentioned, but Chez Nuos stands alone as a unique restaurant offering French inspired dishes on another level. First and foremost, looks can be deceiving when it comes to Chez Nuos. They are smack dab in a residential area. The interior isn't showy with modernity or chic vibes, but instead, a cozy cottage feel with simple paintings and drapery matching the wallpaper. The menu is straight forward with well prepared classics. We marveled at the excellent execution of each dish. First must is to order the complementary baguette warmed, as it is only served warm by request. Second order of business is to order the charcuterie board. It will transport you to Europe with the taste. From the cherry jelly topped mousse, to the smoked duck breast, this board was awesome in terms of textures and flavors. The pickled pearl onions, caramelized onions, and cornichons paired well the proteins. We were presented with some toasted bread when I asked for crackers. As for the mains, I settled on the duck, which came with confit and sliced breast meat drizzled with sauce. The meat was deliciously tender. My one criticism was that I wish the thigh skin was crisped up like I have had at other places. It makes a world of difference. My dining partner ordered the pork ribeye, which was an off menu special for the day. I had reservations about the accompanying blueberry sauce, but wow! It complimented the savory fatty pork well. Speaking of the pork, it was a perfectly cooked piece of meat and oh so tender and juicy. We substituted the risotto out for potatoes and veg, and it was perfect. We ended our meal with the light and lightly sweetened soufflé. Go ahead and order this with your mains because it takes twenty five minutes to prepare. We both agreed that was a fantastic and memorable meal, and it's definitely worth another visit with a special occasion in mind.

This is a very traditional French restaurant opened in humble old street, so humble old street actually have a so authentic taste of the French restaurant is really amazing, the owner is a famous French chef, so it is really very attentive in the cooking of each dish, very art very delicious and good-looking! The service is also amazing Charcuterie Platter, the cup of foie gras from France is absolutely amazing, I dug through it in one gulp and still savored it, and the smoked duck breast was also super delicious! Escargot, the escargot was full of rich flavor of herbs and butter, and the bread was super flavorful. The chef recommended the pork, which was very tender, but I actually thought the roasted Brussels sprouts were better than the meat. French grilled lamb chops, burnt on the outside and tender on the inside, the meat is delicious and juicy, exudes a charming herb and garlic flavor, every bite makes people feel the rich layers and rich French flavor, the waiter will be very ceremonial at the table to give you a good cut of the sauce, nice! The classic French duck leg and duck breast in oil, the outer skin is golden and crispy, the inside is tender and juicy, paired with Burgundy poached pears in red wine, which balances out the richness of the duck leg in oil. After the main course, the waiter will push the dessert cart to introduce you to the most favorite dessert: Chocolate Charcuterie, a variety of chocolate with flowers and nuts ice cream.

Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. That being said, this spot is not overly French cafe themed, but instead a classic suburban strip mall spot with nods to the French peppered throughout the menu and decor. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. I had a crepe Mexicana (because who has ever heard of that?!), a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a dessert crepe because y'all know I always save room for dessert. It took a minute to be prepared, but I'm willing to wait for a fresh made meal. Everything, was delicious. Crepe texture was on point, and each crepe was stuffed to the Gods. Positive experience all around. My tip: Order the tomato soup and finish your meal with the following combo- a dessert Crepe Almonds with strawberries. Trust me on that one!

We started with the French onion soup and deviled eggs. French onion soup was good with the appropriate amount for gruyere and bread and soup. The deviled eggs was their signature appetizer. It was good but not as silly as others we have had. The trout caviar gave it a nice pop and taste. For mains, we ordered the steak frites and short rib beef bouginon. Presentation-wise, the NY strip was sliced and had extras like rosemary butter, grilled garlic and onion. The bad is that it looked and tasted like a cheap cut of NY strip. There was sinew running halfway in the middle of the steak so made it tough to chew. I started discarding those pieces. The fries were delicious... and we ordered the truffle version with an upcharge. For the beef bouginon, the beef was tender but came in one big chunk. I've not see it served that way before. Beef was stringy and considering it's supposed to be short rib, it was lean IMO. The stew was decent with chunks of potato, carrot and pearl onions. For dessert, we ordered the Profilotores and Blueberry parfait. Thought the Profilotores was yummy! Paired with big scoops of ice cream makes it had to beat. The parfait was a soft cheesecake with big blueberry and sauce for toppings. It was a good choice... delicious as well. Overall, ambiance and service were great! The food esp the mains were a disappointment. Hope they spend a little more for a better cut of beef. Hard to justify going back unless somebody asks to go. For entrees, we tried the boeuf bourgignon (beef braised in red wine) - tender and classically rich and savory; the risotto with seafood - flavorful, yet light; and the magret de canard roti (roasted duck breast). It's been quite a long time since I was here and as I was in the neighborhood I decided to stop by again today. Remembering how good they were last time, I ordered the Oma's Frikadellen (grandma's recipe for all-beef meatballs). I like a good German meatball and these were tender and juicy. There was a choice of red cabbage or sauerkraut as a side; having confirmed they made the sauerkraut in-house themselves, had to order that because I know it's super healthy to eat. Better yet, that sauerkraut was almost perfect with a great flavor, but not too tart and just really a delicious version. Honestly I could've eaten a huge bucket load of that sauerkraut and I may buy some to go someday just to have it on hand in my refrigerator; a slight warm and it would be a wonderful side to serve guests. Dessert was a wow! I wanted to try a dessert that they made themselves and so I couldn't help but go with one of the dessert specials of the day. There were several options available not on the menu and although it was tempting to try the tiramisu or one of the three versions of crème brûlée they make, I decided to go with their homemade limoncello cake which turned out to be a delicious choice that I'm very happy about. Waiter Ty said it was one of his favorite desserts here and I could taste why -- moist cake, flavor-filled filling, whipped cream and with blueberries to decorate the plate. In fact it was so yummy that I decided that so someday soon I would order one with a couple days notice and then take it to my family's place next time I go over for dinner - what I don't know is whether I'll tell them the truth or try and pretend that I made it myself LOL :-) Update: the next day I did call to order an entire cake and it didn't last very long once the family dug in, got gobbled up because it had an intense great lemon flavor, wonderful.

What a cute little cafe. I loved the decor and the ambiance. The waitstaff was great and had fast…read moreservice. We had the fried shrimp appetizer. It seemed to be paired with a honey mustard type dipping sauce. Not really sure. We both order crepes. One was Ham & one was Chicken. We both loved the filling but we both agreed the crepe was a little bland by itself. The balsamic on top helped round it out. I had been wanting to try this place for sometime but I guess maybe our taste buds expected something different. I know that the reviews on here are high and I still encourage everyone to come and try for themselves. I know that not everyone likes are the same and I won't say anything bad about the restaurant.
