Our server was friendly inviting us to dine with them, so we chose his establishment. We also elected to dine in to wait out the rain. Lots of food for what you get in price. I love my pita bread which is warm and thin. My gyro meat which you could see them slicing off was plentiful in the meat to veggies ratio. Seems like a family run establishment that had some locals that came in and out. They also do a lot of take-out. I had the warm pita wrapped inside with gyro with shredded lettuce and sliced of tomatoes with fries and a coke for 10 EUR. My husband ordered their Chef (15 EUR) plate which came with a couscous, salad, fries, and gyro meat. For the amount of food, services, and quality of food I would give them 3.5 stars. I just haven't tried the others to do a real comparisons. But price wise they were cheaper than the other restaurants around.

We both got sandwich meals with beef. They were very filling. The man behind the counter, likely the owner, was very friendly. He was patient with our lack of French and tried to speak some English. Having not been in a predominantly non-English speaking environment in a while, my anxiety grew the more researched. So, I just went out for a walk and came across Istanbul Grill. It smelled good and it's food that I'm relatively comfortable with. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was pretty good. I finished everything but the mutton; not a fan. I was surprised to get, what I believe is, sorghum instead of rice. It was a pleasant surprise. In fact, I now plan to use it in my own cooking. I'm comfortable recommending Istanbul Grill.

Upon arriving, I waited at the front for a few minutes before anybody even acknowledged me, once we sat down we waited another 10 minutes to even get a menu. They don't have enough menus, so we had to wait for the table next to us to finish with the menu before the waiter handed us their menus. Once we chose what we wanted, we waited another 5-10 minutes before we had to flag a waiter to take our order. We also didn't get any water/drinks for about half an hour after sitting down. The restaurant smells like sweat...and they do NOT give free water at all. The room is TOO loud, there's loud music, loud bar sounds and just overall loud general noises. Also the hostess wearing black yelled at multiple waiters a few times in front of guests so that was weird... Anyways, on to the food..... Portions are TOO small, ridiculously overpriced. The food didn't come out at the same time, one of six of us nearly finished her food before the rest of us got anything. The table besides us, had 5, and only 2 received their food and finished it completely before the other 3 received their food. We ordered 2 of the same plate, and only one came. Unfortunately for me I was the odd one out waiting another 14 minutes for my plate. The only positive, the food was actually good. It wasn't amazing, but it was good, except one of my kafta's was raw. They also offered us tea in the end to compensate for the awful service, just for them to never give it. Overall, congrats to this restaurant! This takes the cake as the WORST restaurant I've ever been to. Dreadful service and ambiance. Please come here if you want to lose your mind.

This was actually two restaurants in one, selling Middle Eastern food, burgers, and chicken (under the name Chicken House). Ordering was done at the counter and the food was delivered to our table. It's a simple setup with basic tables and chairs and not much room to maneuver between them. I chose a grilled lamb kebab and my companion ordered a mixed chicken platter. The lamb was decent, although a little on the dry side. It had good flavour and included rice, fries, and a salad. The chicken platter consisted of a drumstick, thigh, a couple of battered strips, a few wings, and fries. Everything was fried and it all tasted the same. Bland. It definitely lacked some seasoning. This is not what I imagined my first meal in Paris to be but we chose it. At least it wasn't fast food. But almost.

After a rough first meal in the City of Light that was a €50 half chicken, my soul needed this. Everything is made to order right in front of your face, and it SHOWS. We went with a chicken and a beef durum that ran €9.50, which gave my Chase Sapphire Preferred card a much needed breather. I'm struggling to find adjectives that describe how good this soft flatbread was, and I'm rarely at a loss for words. The best I can come up with is "tangibly fresh." I preferred the beef to the chicken, as it almost melted in your mouth. So damn tender. Whenever anyone asks me for a Paris rec, Urfa Dürüm will be right near the top of my list.
