Miznon is loud, hip, and fun! I've visited branches of this Israeli restaurant in Tel-Aviv and New York, and the Paris location brings the same rowdy atmosphere and fluffy pita to France! There were definitely some interesting local twists on the menu--for example, the beef bourguignon, a stew of meaty chunks of beef, carrots, and potatoes in a red wine stew. I also got the not-so-classic Falafel Mezze plate, which came with a huge falafel "burger" patty, along with vegetables like lettuce, cucumbers, pickles, carrots, tomatoes, radishes, olives, and half a hard-boiled egg, along with a dollop of baba ghanoush. The falafel burger had a nice crispy exterior and a green, herbaceous interior that went nicely with some tahini. The best part about Miznon was the self-service bar, where you could help yourself to grilled peppers (which pack a spicy punch); three different sauces (tahini, spicy green pepper, grated tomato); and thin crescents of pita cut from the rounds used to make pita sandwiches! read more
