We were in Europe for 16 days and this was our best meal and overall dining experience!! From the moment we walked in and were greeted like family to the end of the meal, we felt so welcomed. We found La Crete on TripAdvisor and decided to stop in due to the great reviews. We checked Yelp of course and saw they were great here as well. To begin, we ordered hummus and immediately dug into the hummus that was absolute perfection. The pita bread they served it with was grilled and had some herbs on it as well...delicious!! We told the server, I think was one of the owners, the hummus was amazing and he brought us a little bit more. We all ordered skewers with baked potato, salad and tzatziki and we all loved it. The amazing service continued throughout the meal and when baklava was suggested we decided...why not? I'm not usually a fan of baklava because it is most likely made with walnuts or pecans and I hate both of those. This baklava was made with pistachios and was so very yummy. Again...perfection!! We made plans to return the following night and our trip on the Seine river went too long and we had to leave without getting another chance to return. Although this made us sad, we still felt very fortunate to have had the chance to eat here once. If you have the chance...eat here! I recommend it without hesitation!!

Like all of the previous reviews mentioned, this place is incredible. From the ambience to service to the food, everything was perfect. 1. Grandmother's special menu item - this was an entire shank of lamb that was stewed in a flavorful sauce. It was juicy and tender and had all the feelings of a homecooked Greek meal. This dish is served with a baked potato, tsatziki sauce, and some fig-like fruits. I would get this dish every time I come here. 2. Chicken kebab platter - this came with 2 big skewers of chicken that were grilled to perfection. The chicken was not dry and had really good flavor. Like the previous item, this dish was served with the same sides. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from on this street, but we are glad we chose this one!

If you live in 5th zone of Paris when visiting, this Greek restaurant is one of the most excellent choice which achieves great combination of price and quality, especially it's set menu providing appetizer, main dishes and desert at the cost of less than 20 €. As service, friendly waiters can speak English so there is no problem for foreigners to eat. I will choose this restaurant again next time I visit Paris.

Baklava. Out of this world.

Hidden gem. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!! This place is the BEST GREEK FOOD IN ALL OF PARIS!!!!!! MUST GO!!! Staff is warm, friendly and inviting. Located in the 5th arrondissement in the Latin Quarter. Amazed.

My wife and I decided to take a 25 minute trip via the metro to try this restaurant out based on other Yelp reviews. We are so happy we did because it was well worth the trip. The €16 "menu fixe" was absolutely delicious and a steal in comparison to other places in Paris. For appetizers we ordered the assorted plate and Greek salad, for the main dish we ordered the chicken and pork kebabs, and for dessert we got the baklava and chocolate mousse. The food was amazing, authentic, and the service was excellent. This restaurant has very homey feel to it and the waiters want to take good care of you. Best place we've eaten in Paris so far.

Lamb shank

We come to the restaurant after we found it packed the night before. The hospitality is awesome! Ordered grilled whole fish, grilled lamb chops and lamb shank. Everything tasted delicious! More options on the menu caught our eyes but the waiter warned us that's more than enough. He was right! Reasonable price and good food!

Wonderful ambiance and the staff is very kind.

Wonderful restaurant and they treat their guests wonderfully here. I had the lamb chops. They were tender juicy and good. I would definitely come back when I visit Paris again.

Really good authentic Greek food. Good portions. The lamb with figs and the grilled fish were both delicious. Good value.

The atmosphere in this restaurant was lively, the food pretty good but the waiter was very rude - possibly drunk and misogynistic.

Great meal for our final night in Paris--however something is confusing. The facade of the…read morerestaurant had a different name--Kehribar. Looking at the photos of Istanbul, it has to be the same place, with the fabulous deli case. We had the hummus, tarama (pink caviar dip) and tzatziki with plentiful pita bread. All three were outstanding! We also had the chicken kebob and lamb kebob. Which were fine, but it was the dips that blew me away. I wish I'd had time to try other items in that deli case--it would be perfect to carry back to an Airbnb with a fridge. To top it off the waitress, manager, owner was so friendly and working non-stop. I found it by walking past it on the street while exploring the shops and restaurants on Rue St. Jacques. I looked up, saw the bright new sign and looked through the window. When I saw the deli case, I was sold.

It is a small place that serves take-out but also have a beautiful seating area that brings you back to places in Italy. Whomever designed this place, hats off to you! What a visually wonderful place. I ordered the mixed meat plate and my girlfriend ordered the two meet plate with chicken and lamb. Both plates where very tasty and a great option for lunch. It wasn't too heavy and gave us energy for a full day of walking. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting the area. Sit down, order some wine, eat some food and enjoy the scenery!

We knew we…read moreweren't relegated to bistros, brasseries, and boulangeries for our culinary choices, especially in a neighborhood as culturally diverse as Le Marais. That's what drew us to the fresh Israeli fare at this casual cafe. At around 7PM, the place was hopping because there were quite a few people not only dining but also waiting for takeout orders. We planted ourselves at the counter facing the busy prep area where the staff was assembling plates and pitas. We decided to share the 7,50€ Green Beans which looked to be quickly sautéed in lemon, garlic, and olive oil to a fresh, tasty snap (Photo 10). Jamie ordered the 13€ Golden Ratatouille, a healthy melange of eggplant, tomato, zucchini, carrot, and onion mixed in their house tomato sauce with a nice side of hard-boiled egg and tahini (Photo 8). Well, I thought one of us should try their specialty pita sandwiches, so I went with the 13€ Lamb Kebab. It was delicious with big lamb and beef meatballs peeking out of a nice fluffy pita stuffed with red onions and chopped cilantro, mint, and green onions. It was slathered liberally with tahini and their housemade spicy sauce (Photo 9). It was just the Middle Eastern meal we were hankering for. We can have escargots and croissants some other time. FOOD - 4 stars...big pita, saucy ratatouille AMBIANCE - 4 stars...kinda chaotic but comfortable SERVICE - 3.5 stars...pretty fast TOTAL - 4 stars...a fine Israeli option in Le Marais RELATED - Exploring Paris? The real star was the whole veggies. Everything was super fresh and we enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the kitchen work. The service was fine. As one expects in Paris.
