It's a gas station on a corner so it's great for that reason. In fact, if I could give this gas station 20 Stars I would. Even when it's always closed with an attendant standing behind the counter staring at you through the locked door, it's on a corner and that's at least 50/5 stars IMHO. read more

This review is for the auto care portion of the gas station. Ali, the owner of the auto care, sold the gas station, but retained ownership of the auto care. These are the only mechanics I take my car to. Excellent, honest, always do an outstanding job, no matter how big or how small. I originally went to them when I was filling up on gas. I just bought my used car and needed a smog check and tune-up. I've never gone to anyone else since then. I highly recommend. read more

This is the cleanest restroom I have seen in a long while. They cashier Eleita? was friendly and polite. Too bad I don't need fuel on my travels now as they are what a gas station should he like. read more

Best car mechanic and customer service in the valley hands down. I own a 2002 Toyota with over 285,000 miles so far, still runs great..why you Ask?? Because these guys know there stuff! They have my trust, which has to be earned. Always a fair price and I can bring my car in without a appointment most of the time and they Glady work on it the same day.. love love love this station! read more

This station is a pleasure to visit! The staff always help you with any of your automotive needs. Their prices are fair, and they go the distance. My wife and, I filled up last week, and one of the mechanics noticed there was a nail in the tire of our car. He offered to patch it for a reasonable price. Thanks for being observant! Who knows what could've happened otherwise? It's because of people like these that make your trip to the pump, well worthwhile! I commend the staff here, and hope they'll carry on with their continued A+ service! read more

I had a bad experience with this place. I took in my little truck to get an oil change. I asked the owner to make sure to change the filter; I had gone a while without an oil change. I told him that I have been messed with in the past; I am a girl who knows a bit about cars and I will know if the filter has not been replaced. He assured me that it is standard to replace the filter when changing the oil. My filter is hard to see, however, when I took apart the engine to replace the water pump about 2 weeks after the oil change I noticed that the filter was the same old beat up one I had from before. Recently, I took the truck somewhere else because I was convinced that these guys from 76 didn't even drain out all the old oil. I asked these guys to tell me what they thought of the filter. They assured me that the filter was real old - and not even the same brand that 76 uses. So, interpret this how ever you'd like. I am not trusting this place again. It took them 45 minutes, and most likely they didn't even do a proper oil change. Boo. Send me a message if you'd like any more info. read more

The boss Ali is one of the friendliest people. I wish he were my grandfather. This mechanic shop is very fair and friendly. It seems like a family establishment for sure. The shop itself has a whole wall of encyclopedias and other books, which is super kooky and cool for a mechanic garage. I refer this place to everybody. read more

The mechanics there said I need two parts to fix the issue I was having with my Pontiac: one expensive, and one not too expensive. I told them to go ahead and start the repairs. Later on in the day, they called me and said that my issue was fixed by just replacing the not-too-expensive part. Five stars. read more

Another great experience: I asked Ali if he could take a look at some power window problems which I've had since I've owned my car. Ali spent all day diagnosing the power windows (which involved taking the doors apart and reassembling, and researching available parts for sale). He gave me a diagnosis and a quote and didn't charge me for the exam. It is a great feeling knowing Ali is there for me! read more

I think every good business deserves a review like this one: Without going into each and every detail, I will simply say that I was NOT happy with the work done on my car. I told Ali, Ali and I argued a bit, and Ali finally decided that the best plan was to make things right because he "wanted [me] to be happy." He handled the situation like a pro, and now I AM HAPPY! It seems to me that there is no higher compliment when it comes to reviews that are not simply written from the "Hey, this place is awesome!" perspective. An honest man running an honest shop- Go Ali, Go!!! read more

I was referred to them by a friend of my aunt. She said Ali had great prices and did great work. I recently went to them because my brakes were making a terrible noise. I had just moved to the valley from Santa Monica, but I still went to Santa Monica to try and get it taken care of. They charged me $400 to change out my brake pads, and it was still making noise! I went to the Chevron auto repair place and they fixed it! It only took them about an hour. They weren't entirely sure what the noise was at first, but they really took a good look, and Moe worked on it. He cleaned off and realigned the "spacer." Ali wasn't there for me to pay, so Moe told me to come back another day, so I did. Ali was more than fair and I couldn't have been more grateful for the AMAZING service they provided. Moe even remembered me and my car when I got back and asked if it was still working well. They are my new go-to place. The shop is much smaller than your average auto repair shop, but you can't find a kinder and more fair place to have your car serviced. read more

This is a STAR REPAIR & TEST STATION! I was so happy to find such a reputable auto repair shop! They must have dozens and dozens of STAR TEST ONLY facilities. But very few STAR REPAIR STATIONS. I had to go to a Certified Star Smog Station for my bi- annual smog check. My check engine light was on. That's an automatic fail for any smog test. I have an older 1995 car. That car uses the OBD 1 system. It's quite difficult finding a mechanic who can decipher that system's codes quickly and accurately. My car was quickly diagnosed with a bad oxygen sensor. I was pleased to learn that the sensor was a stocked item. I had the bad sensor replaced, and passed my smog test with flying colors! Service-Excellent. I was very happy with the service! read more

So I live right in the same block and I hate coming because of there bad customer service and bad attitude . So I drive a few blocks away to get gas from another chevron just because they make you feel welcomed . But today I had no gas and no time so I guess I will give them another chance .. Now I regret it ... I came here to fill up my tank . So I waited for it to stop pumping and I pumped just a little more just to make sure it was to the top ... After I drove away I noticed I am short a half a quarter what the heck ! mad for coming back read more

Service, smile, and trust worthy car service... How can all of those things be in one place??? Well look no further because they are allllllllll here and encompassed by Ali Roohani and the fabulous team he has assembled at this Union 76. My entire family has been going here for our car needs over the years and treats us as his own family. Before I made that cross country road trip from California to the east coast, Ali was there to look over my car to make sure it would be safe for the journey. Next time you need someone to peak under your hood, definitely take it to Woodman & Oxnard Union 76. read more

If you are looking to someone worth the money and intelligent. Don't look more go see ALI, good service, people and overall reliable.. two thumbs up!!! read more

How could I forget.... My rear tire kept losing pressure I stopped by one afternoon to put in air right away one of the mechanics came out and asked if I needed help. Delighted not to get my hands dirty I said of course, thanks! Anyways small chat lead him to check my tire and I believe it was a nail or some type of small sharp object that slightly punctured it. He took it around and patched it up for a good price. That was over a year ago and my tire is still in good condition ;) read more

Ali and his staff are so wonderfully friendly and helpful. I never feel like I've been ripped off or cheated. One time I had to have my car towed and when I told the tow truck driver where I wanted to go, he said "I even take my car to Ali - he's great!" You should take your care to Ali too! read more

Ali is very pleasant and he helped with my car smog check last week. Today, his colleague Mohsen checked my tire pressure. Made me feel at ease and so friendly. Highly recommend this Auto care shop. Reasonably priced too! Thank you for all your help. You've got a new loyal customer. read more

Ali and crew are great. I bring my car here whenever I have a question and I know I'm getting a trusted answer. Highly recommended.

I have been coming to this Chevron for a while, and it has transformed a lot since the new owners took it over. It's cleaner, more organized, and the staff is much nicer - the prices are very fair, as well! I am extremely happy with this location and will continue to frequent this location. read more

Love this auto shop! Ali is amazing at his craft. He was so helpful in getting my car fixed quickly and only charged me half of what other shops were quoting me. Definitely coming back for future service! read more

Very weird to be reviewing a gas station, but the man from the auto service helped me when no one else would. I appreciate it very much.

This is THE place to go to get your car serviced in the valley. The owner, Ali Roohani, is the most honest, thorough mechanic I've ever met! He will never try to sell you something you don't need, and takes his time in trying to diagnose a problem he can't initially figure out. The other mechanics at the shop are always friendly and kind, and make the whole car repair experience much easier. Do yourself a favor and head to Ali for repairs. You'll be glad you did. read more

Great gas, great location, and even better mechanics! Ali and Mo are great guys. They will take good care of you and have been working on my cars for years. read more

Woodman & Oxnard 76 is simply the best! Drivers in Los Angeles MUST have a go-to place to take their cars for service. I will not take my car to anyone else but Ali. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. As a female who doesn't know a lot about cars, the guys here are always fair and honest with me. No huge bills for mystery parts or coming to show me "dirty" air filers and telling me I need a new one. Their prices are always very fair, and service is always done promptly. I trust this shop, and am very grateful to have found it. read more

I was reluctant to go the local gas station because , "it was the local gas station". I have to say this is the most profession repair shop I have been too. I brought Ali a very difficult traction control broblem that six other shops where un able to correct. Ali has assembled a staff of talent that would not accept a defeat! These guys figured out the problem and solved it after hours and hours of time spent trying to figure it out. I went to two GMC dealers who led me in the wrong direction because the factory computer diagnostic was incorrect. Ali and his team found and solved the problem and he didnt charge me the anything for the hours he spent trying to figure this one out. I was stunned and feel indebted to these guys. He solved other problems along the way. You want a family member "in the business"? You got one!! read more

Ali and his team of people are the only mechanics I would trust and use. As a new regular I have learned to trust them with confidence and have been ripped off. In a area filled with repair garages, these guys are a shining light! read more

My husband and I have been coming to Ali for 20 years and even though we no longer live in the neighborhood, we continue to bring in our cars for service. In all that time, and after many, many referrals of friends and family, we have never had a situation where he wasn't fair and honorable. Whenever you are dealing with cars, there are going to be times when something doesn't get done perfectly or on the schedule you hoped for. But here at least you are dealing with an honest shop, you can trust what they are telling you. And if they are ever wrong (only once or twice in a couple decades is pretty great!) Ali takes responsibility and makes it right. read more
