Not sure why we're so hard on this Chevron as it's the only gas station in Studio City with an automatic car wash that I'm aware of (with the exception of the Chevron on Riverside and Coldwater, but that car wash is ALWAYS out of order so I don't think it counts). That being said there are a couple of downsides to this location. First, because it is the only automatic carwash in the area, there is usually a long line to get into the carwash itself. Sometimes prohibitively long. Second, the price for the carwash keeps changing (and it's not going down). It's frustrating for a couple of reasons, but it rally seems like this place just assumes that people will pay whatever the price is (and they're right). Lastly, the carwash is SOMETIMES out of order. Not nearly as much as the other previously mentioned Chevron on Coldwater, but it is frequent enough to be a nuisance. Overall though, it's nice that they accept Von's rewards. It's nice that there's an auto car wash. There are also vacuums. Gas is a little more expensive here maybe? I don't really know. It's convenient, and like I said they have a carwash. Have I mentioned they have a carwash? There's also a convenience store with a VERY limited selection. But it's nice that it's there. read more

F*ck this gas station. They are legit scammers. They list 4.99 / g, and once you enter your card, change the price to 5.99/g. They claim it's only 4.99 when you have a car wash but it is not clearly indicated anywhere. To top it off, show me another gas station in the SFV charging 5.99/ gal !!!! This isn't Beverly Hills. I paid 4.79 a few days ago, 5.99 is absurd and is nowhere near the average price. CROOKS. As many other people have noted, their pricing is PURPOSELY DECEPTIVE. Just filled my tank (almost 20 gallons) based on the price on the GIANT ILLUMINATED SIGN of $5.69 a gallon. Couldn't understand why the total was so high. Did the math myself. Realized they were overcharging me by a dollar a gallon. Cashier explained that the lower price is only good if you get a car wash. (They do have smaller signs explaining this -- to cover their asses -- but they are easily missed.) They know EXACTLY what they are doing. Cashier tried to blame the city for not allowing them to have a bigger sign so that they can list their fake and real prices side by side. I was so pissed at the deception that I pulled up to the car wash side and blocked the entrance while I had it out with the cashier again. (I'm saying cashier but maybe he was the manager or even the owner?) Eventually he gave me a $18.99 car wash voucher to make up for the $20ish they stole from me. According to the reviews here and on Gas Buddy, this deceptive practice has been going on for years. I can't believe they're still getting away with it. I'll be contacting the city. Oh and the cherry on the cake? The dial on the gas pump continues to slowly charge you (as if gas is still flowing) even after you release the trigger. I'm assuming this adds up to some profits too, if it's happening on all the pumps. Maybe they're not making enough money by deceiving customers. The price for the 91 was 4.99 on the board I went in and filled my tank and I realized the price read 5.99 so I went in to ask why that is and I was told that the price on the big board was if you get a cat wash as well it will be 4.99 for the gallon and that the regular price is 5.99. Carefully look at the price on the pump at this CHEVRON and notice that it is 30cents more per gallon than the price on the sign. For example today regular Gas is $5.19 per gallon with a car wash or $5.49 with no car wash. Next door at Mobil it is also $5.19 per gallon for cash or $5.349 with a credit card. The difference is that if you don't get a car wash at the Chevron, you pay 30cents more per gallon. So instead you are actually paying $5.49 per gallon at the CHEVRON, Which calculates to an extra $4.50 per tank. So save the $4.50 and go next door to the MOBIL and pay cash. Or pay the extra $3.00 at MOBIL and use a credit card. read more

Been coming here for years gas/wash. At least a half dozen times I still had soap or Bird poop on my car, yet I've never complained. This time I asked for a refund or another 14$ wash. Overall, Horrible customer service. I went in to get gas, a car wash, and a Diet soda. I told the cashier all of the diet soda was mostly expired she ignored me and said "Ok" while looking down. Too busy doing her timecard. After I couldn't put my prepaid fuel in, She argued w me about what type of fuel I wanted in my car and proceeded to tell me what I said I wanted. I normally wouldn't care to write a review about a trivial gas station, but I had a very odd experience here with the car wash attendant. First of all, I've come here before and I've never seen a car wash attendant here. Normally, I just pay the machine and drive through the automatic car wash. But this dude was standing next to the payment machine so I thought maybe the machine was broken. I hand him my credit card, and he asks me if I have cash instead, so I hand him $10 cash and he goes away for a minute to grab change. The basic car wash is $9, so I was expecting $1 change. He comes back with $3 change, and says, "I'm going to give you a discount of $2, if you are kind, you will give me the $2 as tip." I asked, "Can I give you $1 tip instead?" and he goes, "No no! If you are kind, you give me $2 because I'm giving you a discount!" ...I hated this guy's forceful attitude. And what is the point of this "discount" if I'm not really getting a discount?! I wanted to argue further with him because you don't force people to give you a tip like that. But I thought to myself, if this guy is trying this hard for $2, he probably needs it more than me. So I just went, "Okay whatever, keep it" and he goes, "Thank you, God bless you." I didn't feel all that blessed for my "kindness" because you really didn't want to give me a choice anyway, did you? Love their drive-thru car wash! I rarely have time to take my car to a regular car wash and I'm so glad they have one of these. $7.00 is a good deal, considering the fact that I never have to get out of my car. Well when I come down to North Hollywood this seems to be my go to gas station. Now there ain't much you can say how about a gas station, so let's see what I can come up with. First off it's on a major intersection which makes it easy to find. This could mean hard to get in and out of but actually this one is easy to get in and out of because there are a large space available for turning around or pointing yourself in a particular direction so you can zoom into traffic. The pumps are clean there's soap in the water to wash your windows hand they even have a towel or two. Well that all makes it pretty good for me and my car. Let's go into the snack shop that's there. It's small but stock with all the usual so hey I can have a soda and a snack and cruise on down the highway happy as can be looking out my clean windows and enjoying the drive around La I do have a good time in LA read more

I've never left a review for a gas station but whoever owns this one is shady AF. The whole bait-and-switch with the less egregious price only if you buy a car wash is what it is. They always say read the small print. The sign had a really good price for gas but I failed to notice the small print that said "with car wash" so I ended up paying more than the station across the street. Be wise people, check the small print. The property was nice and the pumps are somewhat clean. I wish taggers would leave the gas pumps alone. I've had a relationship with this Chevron for ten years. It's a solid gas station with drive thru car wash and mini mart. The same employees have been here for years, which is nice -- we know each other by face, and they are helpful. The car wash can sometimes have a long line. There are sometimes aggressive homeless people who hang around, which is a huge bummer. The bathroom is clean. The car wash will get the bird shit and egregious grunge off your car, but don't expect miracles. The mart is well stocked with drinks and snacks. I'm a creature of habit, so I like frequenting this Chevron. I see other people's reviews complaining about tagging, graffiti, and a weak car wash -- what do you expect?!! Wow. Usually getting gas is a non event or an afterthought (other than price). Well this changed my outlook. I stopped at this gas station and my son had to use the bathroom really bad. So we ran in to do his business first and the man starting yelling that we needed to buy something BEFORE my son used the bathroom! Someone asked why "we're" so hard on this Chevron station. I can only answer for myself. Whoever runs this station takes no care of it other than making sure there is gas in the pumps, and I can't even vouch for that. You need to clean your windows? There are no squeegees available at any of the pumps. They do not even pretend to change the water where the squeegees should be. There are no paper towels anywhere. There are RATS running all over the place in broad daylight. Don't take my word for it, they're running all day long, go take a look if you dare. They refuse to provide tokens for air and water when you pay for gas which is illegal, I think. They do not maintain the carwash, either. Doesn't matter which car wash level you pay for, you get the same thing: a spray, some whirling plastic strips and some blowing. It does not clean or dry your car. This place is a disaster.
