So I'm 20 years old [almost 21], asian, and of course I look like 15 years old and I don't mind when people card me when I buy a pack of cigarettes, its understandable. But I do mind after getting carded 50 times by the same person. Its like.."cmon man, can you not memorize my face and our enjoying chit chat that we had for like 10minutes every time I visit?!" But that's not my point or rant for this place, all the workers got me down (unless they're new, but they catch on after 3 times). All the workers are efficient and good with service. They make me feel like I'm not in middle school all over again, I actually feel like I'm 20. Thank you. but for all you underaged smokers I am NOT saying they won't card your ass, they will and do obey the law. Lets get down to the real deal of a GAS station. They're one of the lower priced Chevrons and they have the special cash discounts for gas. Some Chevrons or other gas stations don't have that option for 10-15 cents cheaper gas. Course its not gonna save you a bundle load of $$$ but over time, yes. I've also utilized their air pump and water tank when I was driving the most piece of crap vehicle. I've also had my car washed there, the guys do a great job hand drying the vehicle. Not a single droplet of excess water, even in the grooves and crevices of your vehicle. So you can take your baby home spanking clean without stomping your feet that you got water streaks just right after you paid $10 to wash it. ;) read more

Not a bad deal, but they could have done better w/ the rims (which were still black and dusty) and my doggy nose left wet marks on my back console which THEY DIDN'T REMOVE!! Came here because I had a coupon for "The Works" car wash and my car was in desperate need of a good cleaning especially after my last trip to Sac. The car wash was $10.99 with coupon for second level wash and overall I thought they did an ok job. Looked clean when I pulled out of the station but the dust and dirt still left behind on pretty obvious places such as the driver side mirror after closer inspection was a no no for me, especially since it was done by hand. Would I go back? Eeh maybe...that's if I'm in the area. read more

I went here a few weeks back and will never go here again for the car wash. I got the "full package", but my car was still dirty both inside and out. It was a waste of time and money. I had to clean the windshield inside and out before I could drive anywhere! Dirt on the carpet by the doors!. How could they miss this? My husband went in to get a car wash in December 2017, redeeming the free wash (buy 5 get 1 free deal). After he redeemed the wash, he realized that there was a huge line and found out that there was only 1 attendant there. It was going to take at least an hour for the wash to be done. So, he went back into the store and got a rain check to come back another time. Even though the rain check was printed on their regular car wash receipt (good for 7 days), the person on duty wrote "free car wash" and told my husband he can just bring this back any time to claim the free wash. Because of all the raining over the winter, we did not use the free car wash until last Thursday (4/26/18). When I took the receipt into the store to redeem the wash, the person on duty tried to print something, but seemed to be unsuccessful. He told me to wait and he walked to the back of the store. Then the manager came out and wrote a name and a phone number on the back of the receipt and told me to call the owner, Ed Hadad. He said he cannot give me the car wash because the receipt had already expired. I tried to explain to him that this receipt was just a printout as a rain check to honor the free wash my husband had claimed in December. He didn't seem to understand what I was saying nor did he want to listen to me. I asked him to call the owner for me and that I will talk to him. He refused. I got a bit upset and he told me that he didn't want any trouble on the premises and told me that it was my problem to deal with and that I should leave. I got back into my car and called the number. No one answered and it went to voicemail. Unfortunately, the mailbox was full so I couldn't leave a message. I tried another extension and spoke to someone and told her about the situation. She took down my name and number and said she will see who can help me resolve the issue. I asked her to call me back the same day regardless of the outcome. I did not hear back. I tried to reach her over the next couple of days, and still no reply. At this point, I don't think there is much hope in claiming my free car wash. It is only a car wash, but I feel that this establishment has cheated me of it. I was being mistreated. I do not want this to happen to others. So, I have no choice but to report it to Better Business Bureau. read more

I went here for a car wash the other day. Now I'm not the sort of person with the spotless regularly clean car so I did feel a little bad for the people who vacuumed it and had to pick up all sorts of garbage that was on the floor of my car....but...for $13 you think they would have been a little more careful to not throw a CD in the garbage. I actually had to fish it out when they weren't looking.....I just couldn't bring myself to ask them to take it out of the garbage for me On the bright side my car hasn't been this clean in....uhm....well for a long time. read more

One of the most expensive gas in this area. There's shell a mile down the road and If you really want chevron go to the one near Walgreens at grant ave and el camino, They are the cheapest chevron. I always use chevron, my car's computer says it can go 430 miles instead of around 360 miles on shell. read more

I've patronized this carwash for a number of years, although recently I'll only go on the half-off days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) because their service is just not as good as the one down the street. Their carwash will remove most of the dirt from the exterior of the car and they do a decent job of vacuuming the car, however, they are sloppy about cleaning the inside and wiping down/cleaning the little details on the outside. At half-price, that's sort of okay...but at full-price, which is more than the one down the street, it's not worth it. I assume some people choose it because the other one gets VERY busy and the wait can be long there. read more

Maybe due to the day (First Sunday after long weekend), the washing place was clouded and took 30min for getting it done. There are two lines for car washing gate and how much quick your turn is coming is completely depending on the what services the people lining front of you have chosen. I went on 5/11/19; to have my car washed for my son's prom. So unprofessional the employees where all fighting among each other. they were so busy fighting they were not cleaning the cars. I was so disappointed and frustrating seeing them. When they finally said my car was ready it had water spots all over the inside was not cleaned. I paid for the supreme car wash and they didn't wipe down the console or doors my cup holders were still messy. I thought I had good place the price was write I was wrong! When I asked the workers if they could clean my cupholder they said its done and continue to argue among each other. Where is there management? read more

Great service, great prices. I love this Chevron gas station. It's not cheap gas but it consistently has good prices for Chevron gas. The clerk is always knowledgeable about the products and services, not like other stations who just hire a body to take your money. But the best thing is the car wash. For $25.99, you get the best and most expensive wash on the menu. It does not come with wipe down of the seats or dash but they always do it for free if you ask. The attendant is always friendly and courteous, even when they're swamped. They do a great job, never leaving water droplets that dry into spots, or streaks on the glass. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, they run a half price deal so you really get a good value. They are located near the 85 and Central Expressway so even if you're not in the neighborhood, you can still easily access this station. I often come here even when it's not on my route. read more

Car wash prices have more than doubled in a year. Went for a quick rinse, their only wash under 20.00 and was told the quick rinse wasn't working... Huh!? They told me I could get a hand wash only... Don't waste your money on the car-wash here. I purchased a car-wash while filling up gas around a month back. However, every time I go there to get the car-wash done, they are closed. For the 4th time I went for a car-wash today. When I asked the lady in-charge, she said that they closed early due to bad weather. This was around 2:00 pm and when I looked out I could see the sun shining bright. (To be fair, it did rain yesterday evening, but thats no reason to close the car-wash today). The last 3 times I went there, the car wash was still closed. When I inquired about it, I was told that they are closing early these days as its "getting dark" early. I told the lady at the shop that this was the 4th time I was coming in for a car-wash, and would like to get my money refunded back. And then the other gentleman at the counter chimes in "You have 3 months for the car wash. You can come later and get it done. We don't do refunds" Bad service, and bad attitude to customers. read more

The good news: it's convenient, they offer several levels / types of washes, it's less expensive than other full service car washes, and they dry & wipe down your car by hand. The bad news: they didn't honor two coupons I had. One was for a half priced mid-week wash that they said they discontinued despite it having no expiration date. I kind of love this gas station. It seems to be cleaner than your average and it's well lit and doesn't have that "someone-is-going-to-mug-me-fo-sho" feeling. The gas prices are pretty competitive. The best part? This station still has the clip on the pumps so that you can pump HANDS FREE (after connecting of course. Let's not get crazy). I'm a bit of a germaphobe so the minutes I don't have to touch the pump is like having a party with Purell. The downside of this station is that it gets kind of crazy (because it's so awesome?) and people are driving in all different directions. When it's a slow day, the car wash people like to come up to you and ask you for a car wash....multiple times. No means no OK! On a side yet somewhat related note, I had to fill up my tires here because the air was a bit low. I was a newbie at doing this and I was actually DEFLATING my tires. A guy saw this and came over and helped me and put in extra quarters so that I could actually fill it up. Thanks Guy with the Quarters. My car and I thank you. read more

With the prices of gas sky rocketing it's become harder and harder to find cheap gas. I almost always fill up Chevron, so, I usually keep an eye out for a gas station that carries the cheapest gas. This by far is the cheapest gas around. They also have a carwash, which I have not tried, I usually goto Lozano's down the street. The mart is fairly big and the service has always been great -- granted 99% of the time I deal with the pump's credit card interface; I've been inside once or twice. read more

Here goes my first gas station Yelp... Many Chevrons have gone through the remodel of updating their facility and this location has. When you park and fill up for gas, they have the advertising TV monitors to help time pass. This is smart marketing strategy. The facility was clean, not run down, nor did it have garbage on the floor. With that said, it looked safe enough to use their restroom or even go in and get a beverage. (You know what I mean... when you sometimes go to new gas stations, you can get that weird nasty vibe from the outside that makes you not even want to go in and use their restroom or even buy a beverage) I did go in and buy a drink. I was very impressed. It was very clean and organized and the merchandising made sense. The organization and layout made it clear for the customer to know directly where to go depending on their wishes... chips were all together, soda was all together and there warm food was all together. I find that small mom and pop stores cram too much and don't make the buying process simple. I bought a soda, which was merchandised on the very top shelf that I had a difficult time reaching. After some struggle, I was able to get it... but that is an area of opportunity for the mini store- to make sure that all merchandise is accessible. In addition, to the mini shop with the Chevron is a car wash. I did not have the opportunity to get my car wash or detailed (it was a grey nasty day) but if you are interested, give them a shot. As you wait for your car wash, you can enjoy the FREE WI-FI connected with the mini market. I've never heard of wi-fi to be available at a gas station, but because of the car was service, it make sense. Gas is gas and I don't know if I can compare the gas itself.... Purchased a car wash at the register in the store. I was disturbed when the cashier asked me to input the security code from the back of my credit card, instead of the pin that one usually enters, into the machine where you swipe/insert your card. I have NEVER been asked to do that before, and it seemed really odd. I asked about it, and he said it's Chevron policy. (I kind of doubt it and am planning to contact Chevron to find out.) That wasn't enough, however... He then asked me to sign a receipt. Again, when I use the card reader pad thingies (I don't know what they're officially called), I am NEVER asked to sign a receipt. The PIN code I input into the machine has ALWAYS been enough. It bothers me that they now have my card number, the security number, AND my signature. I will also be calling VISA to alert them. The wash was ok, but not exceptional. I had to grab a rag to wipe off some marks that the machines didn't remove. I will not go back to that Chevron. read more

This is just a review of the car wash. They have a half price car wash special ($10 car wash) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which is awesome as that makes it a better deal than Lazano car wash. Overall the quality of the wash is better than Lazano too. The interior wipe/vacuum they do isn't super thorough but at $10 you can't expect much. Overall would definitely recommend this place over Lazano but only with the Tuesday/Wednesday deal. read more

Never written a review for a gas station but I think this is the least I can do. The place essentially has ignorant, defensive, cheating liars working for them. I came to this location specifically to get an express car wash and given that the Shell's car wash was down we came here even though the most basic express car wash was expensive ($9.99). The sign mentioned that with car wash purchase you could get gas for $3.55/gallon. I spoke with the attendant expressing to him that I would like to get the car wash and gas and he said the best way to do that was buy then gas first and then come back in and he would apply the discount to the car wash. I was a little puzzled by the inefficiency of the process but I went ahead and asked him to give me only $12/- worth of gas (roughly 3 gallons of gas) which he charged me at the non-car wash rate of $3.79/gallon. Once again I questioned this and he said he would give the discount after I pumped gas. So I pumped gas and returned and then after conferring with his equally ignorant bystander mate he then told me he can't give me a discount as the gas discount didn't apply if you got lesser that 8 gallons of gas (in violation of the sign). I asked him why he didn't tell me all this before, he lied and told me that he didn't know what car wash I wanted (1st lie) and then didn't know how much gas I was getting (2nd lie). He became defensive and passive aggressive after I told him that he was doing a wrong an unethical thing for $62 cents. Stupid waste of time. Giving up on Chevron completely! read more

On December 15, 2015 I visited Chevron station # 00302504 carwash located on 1005 West El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA. Received carwash and one of the handling members accidentally scratched off tinting from my driver side window. The Supervisor running the carwash operation was very attentive and provided me with a number to contact the owner for resolution. To date, the owner has been ignoring all my calls, I have left several messages and also spoken with his accounting staff member about my case and still no resolution. On 28, 2015, I attempted to contact owner and someone claiming not to be him answer the phone. He was very rude and was not very cooperative and even hung up on me. I revisited the carwash and spoke to the operating manager once again with efforts to get this resolved. My conversation was recorded, in summary TYPICAL SLUMLORD, it appears the owner has done this before. My insurance does not cover this sort of damage. As a loyal Customer for a few years, I believe to have a valid case where carwash owner should be liable for the damage incurred to my vehicle. My concern was presented to CHEVRON Business Consultant Group who works with this independent station owner to see if anything else can be done about having compensation for repair to your tinted window incident at the station. Unfortunately, CHEVRON have no authority over the station for the running of their business. All Gas Stations have their own liability insurance for things like this and the decision on how they handle these claims is entirely there's... This is the problem... Typical SLUMLORD!!!! I have been contacting owner since day one of incident with no resolution, this is why I turned to Chevron for intervention. Mr. Hadad continues to tell me to go through my insurance. My insurance should not be part of this as it was not a moving violation. His insurance should be the one responding BUT he is not willing to give me that information and continues to push me away. At one point, he even told me that if he was to take care of my problem others will come and try to do the same. I'm sure I am not the only victim, there are others that possibly gave up, not me. earlier this week I decided to come to this place for gas because gasbuddy saying their premium is only at 2.63 per gallon. so I drove there, and yes, the sign indeed says the premium gas is at 2.63 per gallon if I pay cash. So I went in to the store, paid cash, and started fueling. Afterwards, I noticed from the receipt that it charged me 2.83 per gallon (normal credit card price), so I went into the store to let the cashier know. it was a long 10 minute wait ( 4 people ahead of me), and when it was finally my turn, I let the cashier know about it, and she just said "oh there's no more discount on using cash". That's it. No apologies, no sorries. I'm sorry, but shouldn't you told me that BEFORE i paid you cash? Even more so, shouldn't you have changed the HUGE PRICE SIGN? I was like whatever and left, and yes, the price STILL hasn't been changed as i drove away. pretty dishonest if you ask me. UPDATE 3/6/15: I went there again a couple days ago due to the gas inflation, and seeing the price of this station being much cheaper than other Chevrons I go to, I decided to give it a 2nd chance. Well, same thing happened. the big board says 3.49, but after I paid cash, I still get 3.69 credit card price. But, as I waited(one of those SLOW fill up machines), I walked to the big board, and noticed the 3.49 is NOT for cash, but only if you also buy their Car Wash (not the cheapest one, which is only $1 off, but the 3 other more expensive ones....) the car wash there is more expensive than other gas station car washes, but it does seem to include more stuff such as vacuuming your carpet... So, I am going to give them back one star because technically they didn't lie. However, the words "for car wash only" is VERY small and I had to almost walk right under the board to see it, otherwise, any car passing by (including Gas Buddy guys) is going to assume that $3.49 is for CASH since it's formatted exactly that way. it's not downright dishonest, but still misleading. without doing that, the $3.69 credit card price is only about average. the wait time at the 7/11 cashier and the slow pump still makes this a Chevron station that I'd avoid. read more

I went for a car wash a few weeks ago and one of the attendants broke my key - I asked the gas station if they could pay for repairing the key and they gave me the owner's office phone number. After several attempts to reach him at that number someone finally picked up and assured me that they would pay for the repair - all I had to do was bring back the receipt. After getting my key repaired I went back to the gas station with the receipt and they refused to pay the full repair cost, instead offering me only $10. After several more attempts to contact the owner he finally responded saying that they were not responsible and the key was probably already damaged, he then offered $15. After speaking with him for a while he agreed to chat with the attendant who broke the key to get more information and said he would get back to me. He never did. read more

What is wrong with chevron gas pumps in Sunnyvale? I used to go to the chevron gas pump on Mathilda Ave for many years as it was on my way home from work. Last year just after Christmas I noticed that this card had fraud transactions and the transactions were done in southern California. We filled gas 2 days prior to the incident. My credit card company noted the transactions and sent us new cards. I started using this chevron gas station on Mary and El Camino. Just after Thanksgiving weekend my credit card company called again to note fraud transactions performed after filling gas at this station. I had filled gas 2 days before this incident too. We have been regular users of chevron for years now but always facing this issue twice with the coincidence of filling gas at chevron and that too after the holiday season does not seem like a coincidence and makes us wonder WHATS WRONG??? read more

I had just gotten my oil changed across the street and decided to get gas and a wash. I ordered the Ultimate car wash thinking they would give me an extra good car wash. The attendant and the guy who drives your car in were nice. I didn't have any issues until I was leaving in my truck (after I tipped, of course.) There was un-wiped spray on my dash which they kindly fixed after I brought it to their attention. I noticed that there was still a bunch of dust that they didn't care to wipe afterwards. They knocked the mirror adjustment button off of my door. Don't worry, I found it under my seat. They decided to remove my company door magnets and toss them into my truck. This would be ok if they decided to wash them first. One thing that bothered me is that the two guys saw me fixing everything and cleaning my door magnets and dash and didn't bother to even offer me a dirty rag to use and just kind of snickered to each other because I was obviously unamused. Finally, was driving and something jammed under my brake pedal. It was my antenna! They topped it of by trying to assassinate me ;) Needless to say I will give my business back to Lozano's down the street. read more
