THEY ARE RUNNING A SCAM! On June 2, 2026 at approximately 8:30 a.m. PST I went to the Alliance Gas Station located at 101 E El Camino Real, Mountain View, CA 94040. I pulled up to pump #1 and went inside to pay cash ($40) for gas at pump #1. I went back to pump 1 and saw the digital readout read $54.74. So, I immediately went back inside the store and asked for help. The cashier claimed I said $40 on pump 6. I did not So, she said she would look at the video. After waiting 5 minutes She returned and said "you told me pump 6". I asked to see the video and She refused. I then asked to see her manager and she asked me to come back tomorrow (which would be today, June 4th). I then asked her to please call her manager and she did. The cashier could be heard calling me "loco" while talking to her manager. She then hung up the phone and told me her manager said I could have $20 of gas but that is all. I asked her why she would offer me $20 in gas if she thought I already pumped $40 of gas on pump 6. She refused to answer. I then asked to speak to her manager and she gave me her number - so I thought. In fact, she gave the phone number of the gas station and then did not answer the call. I then went back into the store at approximately 8:50 a.m. PST and asked the cashier again for her manager's phone number. This time she gave me a different number - a (408)I called this 408 number and spoke with a woman who claimed to be the manager of this Alliance Gas station located at 101 E El Camino Real, Mountain View, CA 94040 but refused to give me her name. I explained what happened and asked her to please look at the video that shows the pumps outside. I asked for this because it would most certainly show I NEVER approached pump #6. She refused and started yelling at me. Not sure why. The "manager" then told me she would speak with the cashier so we ended our call. The cashier then informed me her manager authorized $30 in gas. Again, I asked why, if she thought I was attempting to steal gas from them, she would offer me $30 in gas. She then told me she would allow me to pump $30 in (remember I paid for $40 in gas) and that she would send me $10 via the money app Zelle. The cashier asked me to provide her with my phone number and she wrote "Zelle" on the paper and she wrote my number. I have a picture of this note and it is the cashier's writing. Also on the note is my name, with completely different writing, wherein I wrote my name. Following this nightmare of a transaction I sent a text message to both the cashier and her manager with the note attached and asked them to please follow through so that I would not have to escalate this matter. I never received a reply. I then called the cashier's manager and verbally asked her to follow through and she said I should just let this matter go and that I was harassing her. As of the writing of this complaint, 12:06 p.m. PST I have NOT received the promised Zelle payment of $10 nor have I received a courtesy call from the cashier nor her manager. In closing, I realized $10 is not a lot of money, however, based on the way the cashier and her manager handled this situation, to include offering $20 and $30 in gas when I paid (on camera) $40 and the promise to Zelle me the $10 the next day the cashier and her manager most certainly have scammed other customer before. They were too well rehearsed, too willing to offer me $20 and then $30 in gas when they claimed I already pumped $40 in gas (again cameras will prove I did not) and too anxious to have me leave by offering to pay me what I was owed the next business day. Clearly this is a scam and I do not want others to also be scammed. PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR GAS TO AVOID GETTING SCAMMED LIKE I DID. read more

Stephanie would not take my cash payment today at 6:25 pm as she was busy on a personal phone call and according to her so was closed for the day after I asked what time they closed she mentioned it was 24hrs but could not take my cash because she closed her register and busy on the call with a guy on her pink cell phone that was very rude and unprofessional service if your still open you should still be able to take a payment and recount your register it is not that hard hit she rather loose money because she wants to go home already and no one else is walking in to take over for her !! Every time you come in here she is always on the phone and is quite rude because she feels she's being interrupted while at work she should be focused on helping customers not on her personal call. This gas station is in my neighborhood, it was really great for the first 25 years we lived here. It has seriously gone downhill in the last few years. Do not go here unless you are OK with going inside to pay. None of the card readers work and the pumps have issues too. Such a shame given its great location. read more

I don't recommend this gas station, it's a waste of your time and the cashier is rude and can't speak english. I visited this station around 9:30pm on 12/5. I had to switch to 3 different gas pumps because their pumps are faulty or didn't work. Also, I prepaid with cash, but the gas price went up in the middle of fueling, like 9:26pm, not something like 10pm you switch price. When the first problem happened, I talked to the cashier, he was rude and impatient cos I can't speak spanish. When a broken gas pump happened again, he was even condescending. He talked like I was an idiot and causing him troubles! Hello...? Your pumps are old and broken, and you can hardly use your cashier's machine and speak the language your works need. I just wanted a five dollar bill so I could tip my driver. I had eaten across the very busy El Camino Real at Annachikadai and all I needed was a five dollar bill before I got picked up. Crossing the street was daunting and dangerous and this gas station is cramped. The ATM of course dispenses 20s so now I needed change. No change without purchase. I looked around and there was nothing I wanted. I tried to get a Lotto ticket. Nope, it's down. I wandered around this little closet of a gas station and decided on some M and Ms I wasn't going to eat. This time I waited while the same cashier put change in his drawer out of the safe and arranged it. Finally he looked at me and my M and Ms and refused to take the 20 because he "didn't have change." Unbelievable. There's a nicer place across the street, but be careful about crossing. For some reason the normally pedestrian respect one finds elsewhere in the area does not exist at this particular intersection on Saturday nights. read more

If the name is wrong then it was whomever you had working the cash register on March 3, 2021 between 6:30pm - 7:30pm. He was smoking a cigarette inside the store with a fan on, no concern of those needing to be helped. I only went inside because I needed to buy fuel with cash. Awful. I put my card in to get gas today. It authorized but no gas would pump. I went cancelled and went to a different pump. It authorized but wouldn't pump again. I cancelled and went inside. They said that my card wasn't authorized. I was running late so just blew it off and left. When I checked my bank account later, they had authorized over $90 between the two transactions. My car was out of gas I let the man working know that I wouldn't make it home. I asked if he could type in my debit card number since I didn't have the physical card he said no. I called my husband stressed if I would have to call AAA and wait for HOURS taking up their GAs pump from future purchases my car just sitting there. I figured out how to get my card on Samsung pay. I had never used it. When I go back in to pay the man doesn't want to help me Tap it. He is too busy counting the money for the day. When my husband on the phone is trying to guide me how to do it and it is not working my husband says why isn't he helping you? Extremely poor, if not fraudulent, customer service. The gas pump malfunctioned while pumping my gas - the gas was not going into my car, but flowing back up into the pump. For a 12 gallon tank, the reading said 26 gallons and $82. After 30 mins of discussion and being told they could do nothing because it had to be an "investigation", I was able to get them to reverse part of the charge (reimbursed me for the difference between filling up my tank in full and the $82). However, I then checked my gauge and realized the pump had not worked at all (gave me 1 or 2 gallons). I went back in to figure out the proper reimbursement to me, but the manager disappeared and the clerk (who was kind and wished he could help) said he could not do anything without the manager. I was told that they would call me. We'll see. A man came in just after and had the same thing happen to him. They decided at that point to block off that pump. read more

Never going back. Tonight after dark they had a broken pump with no warning sign on it, only a mysterious orange cone sitting by the pump. I started the pump and the gas spewed everywhere, all over my car and on me as well. I alerted the cashier and he stopped the gas eventually, but they charged me $7.65 and I got not a single drop of it in my car (just everywhere else). When I went to get credit this same cashier won´t give me credit back and actually blames me and yells at me for not interpreting his orange cone correctly.
