Yup we were here to get some Chevron gas on Juniper Serra in SF. Traffic was snail to north bay. Burned all the gas in my sister's hybrid vehicle. Gas price was $4.299 a gallon on December 20, 2022. It was slightly cheaper than near the airport. We were going northbound to Santa Rosa across Golden Gate Bridge to see a friend. Previous trip, we drove to Sacramento across Bay Bridge. So, this SUV is supposed to get 34 mile per gallon a very good match to consume exclusively Chevron gas. Am I a loyal customer at Chevron? No, I only buy cheapest gas whenever I see. Friendly staff and convenient location on the corner of Junipero Serra Blvd and 19th Ave near SF State and the Stonestown Galleria. Prices are always a bit higher because it's in a high traffic area. It always feels like a pretty safe location. Be careful if you air up your tires there. Yesterday I used there free air pump and it continually drained the air out of my tires!! It was blowing air but the head of the air piece was not attaching to the tire nozzle so it was deflating my tires. I had to drive to another gas station on Ocean Ave to quickly resolve the issue. I spoke to the staff member working at the time to let him know about the problem but communication was a challenge. I would use caution if you need to air up your tires! Big ripoff on cigarette prices here! I almost always get my cigarettes at the other Chevron in Daly City near Lake Merced Blvd and John Daly Blvd and even those are expensive! But this gas station charges three bucks more per pack than the one in Daly City though! I already knew they would be more expensive, but six bucks more for two packs of the discount Marlboro 'special select' cigarettes though? and what's this ""litter fee""? another dollar five per pack? Every bs tax in San Francisco is soon to be followed by San Mateo County! I just come here to get gas and keep it moving. I have been told that Chevron gasoline supposedly is best for your car so I come here. Normally I go to Valero. But, if it is on the way why not stop if I need gas. Came here today to get my 87. This location is right between Junipero Serra and 19th Ave. It is an ODD location but somehow it works. The bathroom is sketchy because sometimes it is open an at other times it is locked. This is quite confusing if you are in a rush to get somewhere. Also, the station attend came be a bit of a jerk. If I say I want $X.XX on pump number X that should be CLEAR. But, I guess some people do not understand RUDIMENTARY ENGLISH. That is fine but it is just baffling to know that a grown adult struggles with simple conversations. It is astonishing that such an individual would be allowed to handle money let alone be left to monitor the operations of a gas station. Anyway, they other thing to be aware of at this location are the folks who dig through the garbage can looking for cans and bottles. They can be annoying, especially when they approach you. Just mutter at them or shoo them along and you should be fine. If they persist you should grab the Squeegee and moving it around rapidly to let them know that you mean BUSINESS! YEAH. Driving home late last night I really needed some gas. At about 11:50 PM (December 26) I informed the gas attendant that pump #4 was not working properly. He began to raise his voice at me from the booth to slide my card. I told him I refused to because it kept blinking "error." I asked him to come out and to do it himself. He came out, didn't do anything at all. He gave me attitude and I just decided moved to another pump. This isn't the only time that he gave me poor service. Another time, before this, I was refilling the tank and went inside to get my receipt to pay, since the machine wouldn't give me one, and to my surprise, the same attendant handed me a receipt that said "VOIDED." When asking about the void, he insisted it was because he needed to reprint and that that was how they printed. Prior to this, the charge at the station did not match the charge on my statement. I was overcharged, more than once. Sad to say, I will not be returning here, even if I desperately need gas. read more

This Chevron station is pretty convenient since it's right by San Francisco State University and I am notorious for having an empty tank when I am at school. I don't like to go to Chevron normally because they are one of the more expensive gas people in the city, but the convenience is key. I haven't stopped here in a bit, mainly because I've been riding my bike more more lately. The station is rather small (I think there are 4 pumps), and the station attendant is usually pretty useless unless you need a candy bar or something. They have squeegees for your window washing needs. It's not too well lit, but enough to get gas and be on your way without getting attacked in the middle of the night. read more

Just visited this Chevron station at 1100 Junipero Serra. After buying a tankful of gas, I went into the station's store to make a purchase and was taken back at the reception I received. The gray-haired, older woman behind the counter was amazingly ungracious and unwelcoming when I pleasantly said "hello." She had a scowl on her face and was clearly annoyed though I don't know why. During our brief conversation, she was unnecessarily unpleasant and unfriendly. I remained calm, didn't raise my voice and didn't use profanity as I told her that it's customary to greet customers and be helpful when they enter the store, rather than having a attitude toward them for no apparent reason. She responded that she didn't work for me and that she worked for Chevron. I told her that Chevron needs to rethink who they hire and left the store. The above was a bewildering and disappointing experience especially after I had spent money out at the pump. I truly don't understand this woman's attitude towards me as we're both Caucasian and about the same age. I didn't come in with a complaint and even said "hello" when I walked in. So what was the problem? This is the poorest example of customer service that I've encountered in quite a while and a sad reflection on this particular clerk. I was driving just before 2am, and something wasn't right with my stomach. I needed a restroom immediately, and this Chevron was in sight. I pulled in and asked for the restroom key. The employee on duty pointed at a printout that the restrooms were closed after 10pm. I replied "it's an emergency, I need to go like right now." He points to the sign again and said "talk to the manager" and then turned away and ignored my subsequent pleas. Zero human compassion and common sense. Never using this Chevron again for anything no matter what. This Chevron is close to home and highly convenient. While the merchandise of overtly bad for you products may be minimal, I get my smokes and energy drink with ease. Horrible manager!!! Tonight a 65 year old man had a flat tire. He managed to pull under the overhang at this station as it is pouring down rain. The manager of the station would not allow him to change his tire there for fear he may be blocking one of the pumps. He made the man pull of onto the street and change the tire in pouring down rain. I had to give this Chevron station a plug because they actually put soap in their windshield wiper containers. You probably don't normally think twice about this kind of thing, but when you're trying to scrub off that bird poop with some straight dingy, dirty water, you'll appreciate how much of a difference a little bit of that soap makes. So thumbs up for soapy windshield wiper fluid. The gas prices here were also pretty cheap for the city. Maybe not the cheapest you'll find, but a pretty good deal for getting that Chevron with Techron coursing through your engine. read more

This is the only place open within walking distance late at night to buy cigarettes if you are in the Park Merced area, the prices are moderate for San Francisco. The gas station right behind it is cheaper for cigies though so go there during the day. The staff is so so. Some are very cool and nice once you get to know them. You will be carded every time, sometimes even if they have known you for a year, who knows why, the law doesn't require it once they know who you are, but the cameras are always watching and their bosses might fire them if they see them not checking.
