But what a bizarre experience at 12:41 in the afternoon. There's a store full of snacks and drinks--which I'd love to grab because I'm hungry--but the door is locked. Fine. I walk up to the cashier window where there's a guy inside by himself, masked up behind bulletproof glass. Whatever, not judging... but he can't hear me through the glass, and I definitely can't hear him with the mask/glass combo. I ask for water. He brings out a Dasani (sorry, it's gross water and you can't convince me otherwise). I ask if he has anything else, and he tells me to "look through the window and pick what I want." The thing is--the glass outside is mirrored. You literally cannot see in. And what little I can see looks like piles of random products stacked haphazardly. (Stale? Probably. Who's buying snacks they can barely see through mirrored glass?) So, I ask if he has Crystal Geyser, and--pleasant surprise--he says yes. He even seemed pleasantly surprised himself, so I guess that makes two of us. Time to pay. I can't leave my card open for the fill-up, which is fine. I estimate a full tank will cost me about $130 (thanks, beastie) and decide to put in $50 to get me through the next day or two. I pull out Apple Pay... but nope. No card reader to slide over. No contactless option. Instead, I have to unlock my phone, hand it over (yes, my unlocked iPhone) so he can take it inside and run the payment. He disappears around the corner with it--just for a few seconds--but still. Handing over your unlocked phone to a stranger whose face you can't even see? Not exactly a warm, fuzzy feeling. Point is: this gas station sucks. Check your fuel level and don't get caught having to refuel here because you're out of options. Don't be a dummy like me. #learneditfromluba

Non existent in San Francisco when I decided to Yelp. So glad I did Guerrero Shell was 10 minutes away and although I called before his scheduled 8 am hours this polite and kind man said to come in at 8 am. So relieved he patched the tire with the screw and $50 later we were on our way! Great service highly recommended business. So grateful thank you!

I didn't see any of his old crew also making the move as I used to be a regular at his old shop. He told me most went to other shops or have retired. It was nice to see Simon at least. It took an hour to do the oil change. He called me mid job that my engine and cabin air filters needed replacing. $90 (2 filters $55 and labor $35.) I said yes as I was too lazy to do it myself. It would have have taken too much effort to buy the filters myself and install it. ($22 for the engine and $10 for the cabin filter Amazon prices.) There was a slight mishap as they charged me for a synthetic oil change whereas I only got a regular oil change. The billing mechanic (not Simon) messed up. I caught it on the receipt and they had to refund me $26. Otherwise good job everyone at Sunset 76 Auto Repair. Be sure to check your receipt.

I was immediately approached by a homeless guy who asked (more like demanded) that I buy him food. When I said no, he yelled at me "f*cking b*tch.." and few other choice words before he walked away. I was already a bit rattled and immediately another one walked towards me and started asking me money. All this happened literally within 3-4 mins of filling gas. I refused again and got into my car coz I was already freaking out. This is the first time something like this has happened to me in my 17 years here. I don't think the store owners care to clean up their $hit and get rid of these homeless crazies from their premises. This will be my first and last time here. Never again.

Two things I recommend: Buy a ticket with discounted washes, you'll save about 30%. Second, tip the guys doing the work scrubbing down your rims and putting elbow grease into the pre-wash service. It's the right thing to do and your car will look all the better for it. They give you a dashboard wipe (two if you ask nicely) and cardboard air fresheners if you want them. There's no video screens at the pump so that's a nice plus. They have a Propane Tank Exchange BBQ cage, so that's pretty handy if your propane tank runs empty. You just have to wait for the cashier to finish processing all credit cards from people who weren't able to run their cards at the pump.
