So I went there to get two 5 lb propane containers filled. The attendant filled my two 5 lb size…read morerefillable containers I put them in my car and was told to go inside and pay for the propane. I paid for the propane but the price seemed rather steep. So to fill those two 5 lb propane containers the total was just a little under $18. In hindsight it seems a little steep, considering at the U-Haul on Bayshore in San Francisco they charge $3.75 a gallon. Figure a gallon of propane weighs about 4.2 lb. So effectively, I paid $7.70 some odd cents per gallon of propane. A friend was explaining to me when I told them about this that sometimes stations like 24/7 and others add an additional service fee to the price. I did get quick service so that was good. It's just like always happens you you live and you learn. Next time I'll just stop at the U-Haul on Bayshore because basically I would have paid half of what I did at the 24/7. I want to stress though they were very helpful and this apparently is some sort of convention that exists at these fueling stations that also provide propane. That is they add some sort of additional service fee. But for me as a retired person, if I can pay $3.75 a gallon instead of $7.70 a gallon it's a no-brainer which way I need to go. Again though their service was just fine, I just hadn't considered that additional fees would be added at a filling station that also provides propane services. My bad. You live and you learn!

At the point the store employee comes out and starts challenging the amount of fuel in the take and the fact more than $50 had been filled. No matter what had been filled to that point, my card had already been authorized for more. Plus, topping of the tank of a work truck costs a lot more that it did previously. There should have been no surprise, and no arguing or attitude about $0.10 over an estimated amount. The whole thing started to feel more about appearance and blood , than it should have been about finance. So Ii capped off. Got a receipt And left the station. Checked the card account later. And sure enough it was authorized for $100.00. with more than enough in the account to cover the authorization. Sure, Skyline Marathon might have okay priced gasoline. And the station is pleasant enough for cleanliness. But the kind of attitude, and possible prejudice, served up here is enough that future fueling will be done elsewhere at an Exxon or Speedway station. You might want consider fueling up elsewhere too if you have a choice.

But I wanted to provide my 0.02 cents about this place so here goes: Friday, July 8, 2022, I was waiting on El Camino Real on San Bruno waiting to pick-up my friend at the airport and wanted to fill up on GA$ before I got the text to head to the terminal. I googled "cheap gas near me" and this one popped up as the cheapest. The average GA$ prices at that time were over $6.00 so $5.84 (5 cents cheaper if you pay with cash) was worth the 0.08 miles drive. It's located just off of Skyline Blvd. past 280 in a very quiet and nice neighborhood. There are 8 pumps with plenty of space to maneuver your vehicle. They sell your typical items you can get at any gas station/convenience store. It's also easy to get in and out from with limited traffic in the area. The next "cheapest GA$" on the list was $5.99 just a few blocks away on the same street on San Bruno Ave. As of today, their GA$ (unleaded) is listed as $5.34. Still not under the $5.00 threshold unlike Costco, but it's still "cheaper" compared to other gas stations within the same vicinity. Hope this review saves you a pretty penny.
