I've been through 2 very serious surgeries in the past couple of years and I cannot possibly recommend the entire pharmacy staff enough, especially the head pharmacist Maureen. they are all unbelievably understaffed and overworked, yet.....so amazingly find a way to be accomodating, efficient, and come thru for me when needed. I love being signed up for home delivery of both in-store items or prescriptions! Delivery convenience is such a luxury to have when you are not able to easily get around. And how do they all maintain such a positive friendly outlook when so slammed with work day in and day out unrelenting being short staffed and so overworked? Really heroic examples we could all emulate. Being frugal due to so many medical bills, I find the store prices very reasonable and shop their sales. Some items usually stay out of stock, like my 2% milk not being a grocery store, but there are so many groceries to choose from. There is a grocery store closeby to do a food shop but I seldom can't find what I need in all departments so well stocked while there. Everyone is extremely courteous and kind I wouldn't even consider shopping elsewhere. This review took 11 years in the making.

As the California vs. Nevada per-gallon price differential, can be significant, we only buy gas in the Golden State when we have to. Hence, our Silver Fork stops are usually for snacks and a bio break. Hence, we pretty much skip the gas pumps and the restaurant, the latter being to early in the trip going down and "we just want to get home" coming back. Nice people, decent snacks, clean restrooms, and very interesting tchotchkes. For what we want, what more do we need?

The Mexican place has limited hours. I haven't tried it yet, but when I do, I will write a review. The convenience store and the gas is open 24 hours. There is a post office here, but there is no counter service. It's primarily. P.O. Box and mail pick up by local residents. They do have a 24 hour mail drop, with pick up in the early morning. The convenience store is nice. It's clean, and the people are friendly. I like the decorations in the store. It has your usual. Beer, wine, food, snack, snacks, sundries, and it also has a small hardware section, which a good amount is winter gear. It has a small but nice souvenir section as well. Prices are pretty typical on some items, and then on others, they are a bit higher. I got an amazing beef jerky, and the price was reasonable for what I got They do sell chains in the winter time, but believe me, you are going to pay for them. There's plenty of parking, including truck and RV parking. There's also a popular snow park in the winter time. The elephant in the room, is, of course, the gas prices. You are pretty much in the middle of nowhere, with only a few gas stations in the immediate area, so you are definitely going to pay for gas. The best thing to do is fill up in Sacramento, Auburn, or Reno. The gas in Colfax and Truckee is a bit higher, but still well below what they charge here. I like this store. I will be back.
