I have visited this car wash a few times in the past, and find it does the job quite well. This wash is "assisted automated" which means it's not unattended, and is mostly open during certain hours. Like similar washes, this one offers 3 different selection tiers, ranging from the cheapest $7 to the "deluxe" which is around $12. The only real difference is supposedly extra "clear cost" or finish application. What I know about most cash washes, is there is little or no noticable visible difference between them. Your vehicle is likely not going to look any different paying extra for the "deluxe" option anyway. Like a lot of things, the "tiers" are mostly marketing hype. The $7 is the option that works for me. That is, when this place is actually open. The crappy thing is the hours of operation of this place are erratic. For the past two days the car wash was closed during the middle of the day. Both times between 10am and noon on a weekday. Another bummer is they only give you a single token to use the vacuum for free. You get a 5 minute vacuum with the purchase of carwash. Otherwise you need to insert quarters. This is a bit annoying because they are strict with giving you more than 1 token per wash. I like the wash service here and location, but they are not always open and running when you expect them to be which is a bit of an inconvenience. read more

Good gas stop close to the freeway with a large Minimart and good selection of snacks. They also have relatively clean, large bathrooms. Prices are a bit higher than some other places, but it makes for a quick stop on the route south. They also have Carmel Valley Roasting Company coffee, which we got a taste for in Carmel. read more

I would never recommend coming to this gas station, especially in order to get your car washed. I have purchased a car wash through the Way app that said I could use my car wash voucher until the end of 2024. However, I just went to go get my car washed, and the attendants told me that I could no longer use that purchased car wash voucher because their manager said they were not going to honor it any longer. When asked to call their manager, both attendants insisted that I come back the next day to speak to their manager in person rather than talking to him on the phone. Absolutely ridiculous! Do not come to this Chevron to get your car washed. Totally waste of time and money. The management clearly doesn't know what good customer service is especially for customers that have already paid for a service. read more

Car wash prices have gone up a dollar since the last time I visited. The most basic car wash is now $6.99 instead of $5.99. There are almost always $1 off coupons on the back of Safeway receipts, though. This is your standard drive through car wash. The attendants are pretty nice, get to know you if you come regularly, and make jokes. Once, they helped me put my car in neutral when I didn't know how. I like how they manually do a little prewash before the machine cycle starts. The machine wash does a pretty good job. If you've waited a super long time (like I did) in between car washes, it won't get everything. After the last wash, there were still small relics of massive bird crap that the car had + random dirty spots. There was also still some soap on the back of the car at the end. Really horrible car wash! First: The kiosk does not accept cards and does not give back change if you put in cash. Second: The car wash system is really rough and not good for the car. The blower is really weak and does not blow away the water after the wash, leaving me to wipe it down myself. If you're thinking of getting a car wash here... READ THIS first. I've been to this car wash a few times in the past with no issues... but the car wash was "upgraded" just recently, and when I arrived today the main greeter said that today's car wash was going to be FREE due to the new system being dialed in and finalized. I was excited, and agreed to go thru. The brushing system seemed SUPER rough, really powerful, and extremely loud as I drove through. My truck (Toyota Tacoma) was vibrating like crazy due to the pressure. I couldn't help but think this could be causing damage. As I pulled out there were a few guys standing there watching my truck come out, and pointing at my truck. They game me a thumbs up, so I drove off. When I got home (only a mile or so away), I had to walk around my truck to see if everything was good, and the first thing I noticed were some big scratches on the side mirrors. Then I noticed my antenna had been completely ripped off. Now I've been through MANY car washes over the 10 years I've had this truck, and I've never removed the antenna once... but this car wash ripped it completely off. I also noticed my Toyota Racing TRD stickers on the sides of the truck bed were badly peeled up in several places, and the clear coat paint on the hood of my truck was ripped off! I quickly drove back to the station to log a complaint, and the on-site manager walked over eating a muffing and seemingly could care less about my issue... however, he called the owner (Jack?) and I ended up talking to the owner over the phone. I explained what happened and he immediately became defensive and started telling me this was all my fault, and that he takes ZERO responsibility. The machine has a million dollar insurance (or something like that) which claims it will NOT leave any scratches. I of course disagreed, and to that end, he said there was nothing he would do at all, and there is no one else I can call about my issue. It was final, and he hung up. Greedy, angry, defensive, short-tempered, disrespectful, unwilling to even work with me at all. These guys are awful, and I would highly suggest never taking your car here... at least not for a wash. read more

Had my car "washed" with their $13 best most expensive option.. left black oily dirt on my driver side door and didn't get any of the bugs off.. needed a quick wash and ended up sitting in front of my car wiping off the left over bugs the drive thru car wash couldn't do and getting the grime off the door... Maybe I just came on a terrible day, but the bathrooms could not have been more gross unless someone actually went on the floor (and from the smell, it is quite possible that they did). The bathroom that actually locked was covered in toilet paper and the toilet was clogged. Hubby guarded the door while I went in the one where the door will not completely shut. It REEKED of urine. The service is quick, friendly and they have a really fantastic selection of foods, drinks and other items and there always seems to be a ton of parking available. It's well lit and the food areas are clean, though I can't speak to the bathroom because I've never used it. I've used this car wash for years. I think the machines do a good job of washing the cars and most of the time it's not that crowded . Once when I had been injured the attendant helped me vacuum my car. I was impressed at his great attitude! The price is good and u should try it! He watched me put quaters into the vacuum machine - nothing happened; so I went inside to ask- for a refund, he laughed and said- yea they don't work - we put signs up- but they flew away months ago. He walked back into the shop and took a picture of the sign posted saying free car wash. So I went ahead because my car did need a wash badly! Sure enough it was free! For the long haul commuter, the location might not be as convenient as say, the ever popular Pacheco Pass exit. But as a result, this place is much less busy. Gas prices aren't gonna be highway robbery per say, but expect the typical "freeway gas station" upcharge, as well as uppity Morgan Hill pricing. On the plus side, the mini mart is legit. Clean space, clean bathrooms (cramped though), plethora of road snacks and goodies. They even sell wine. The attached coffee shop (cash only) serves a brew that's much better than the dishwater at most gas stations. Plus there's a Krispy Kreme selection if you get there early enough. Noms. read more

This gas station is pretty easy to find just off the 101. I needed gas and here they were to help me. Located on the west side of the freeway, I pulled in and was quickly able to find an open pump and start re-fueling. I did not go into the convenience store. Prices seemed fair for the area and I was happy to use their well-maintained window wiping equipment to make my glass clean enough to see out of again. Clean station, working pumps. I would the car wash a negative star if I could, went today to wash my truck as I have a hundred times over the last 15 years and never had a problem. I was looking forward trying the newly re-built car wash to see if it was improved over the tired old one. Well as another yelp posted (to bad I didn't look before I went there), the spray nozzles were so powerful I could see the hood distorting under the jet steam that was coming out three of the nozzles that should have been a round circler pattern like the rest of them. It took he paint off in two places, one on the hood and another on the fender. I went right to the owner and he said "it can't happen, it's tested, no way not responsible). This Chevron has a nice selection of beverages and is my go-to potty stop between Monterey and San Francisco. Not a bad place to stop for a break and there are lots of food options. They have a Carmel coffee roasters inside and it is right next to In N Out burger. Travelers can feel good about stopping here for gas or other necessities. As far as a carwash at Chevron goes, this is bad. I don't expect much from these but really, this??!!! It is pretty much a dry wash. I paid for the deluxe wash. First they manually scrub your windows, then the auto scrubs turn go to work. On a dry car!!! The liquid dispensers are piss poor at best. I could feel my cars paint getting scratched up. After the "spray foam wax" gets applied. Barely a drizzle. Then another dry scrub. Arrrggghh. My poor car!!!! FINALLY some water for the rinse. Avoid the car wash if you value your cars exterior.
