This is my first time coming to this gas station. It's been here for about a year and today I came to get gas since it was on my way to getting hwy 101. They have a Burger King and they have a small market. It's very clean and well kept end it was easy to get to it's right off of Cochran next to the target shopping center. However in my opinion gas price was a higher than other gas stations in Morgan Hill.

Owner is rude! The vacuums are always broken and if you ask for your money back, he refuses. Don't come here.

Pumps never work, car wash rarely works, plus people working there are rude and very disrespectful especially the old guy the works there.

ARCO

I've since decided to do an updated review of this Arco station since my last one was back in…read moreNovember 2019. A lot has changed in nearly two years since I left my 1-star review. The reason for that review had to do with using debit/credit cards at the pump back then. It was a huge pain in the buttocks for sure. In fact, I was so upset I decided to use another station further away, yet 20 cents /gal more expensive. The convenience of using my card at the pump far trumps standing in really looong line inside Arco with only one cashier working, waiting to pay. I'm now happy to give a much better report. This Arco started accepting cards (all major debit/credit) cards accepted, with CHIP/PIN security, right at the pump! Also, the nice thing is there is no more annoying . 35 cent fee for using your bank card. It's similar to what you come to expect at other major gas station pumps. I've been using this Arco for the past year and a half and really welcome the improvements they have made to the pumps. The screens also give you the option of adding a car wash, which I find convenient. So, why not 5-stars? Well, although the pumps work MOST of the time, they are not without the occasional fault, here and there. I would say I visit this Arco about once a week, and about 1 in every 4 visits, or monthly, I find the pump I try to use either is out of order, glitchy, or won't print a receipt (showing the carwash code). In that case I either have to try another pump, or go inside the AM/PM store to request a duplicate copy with the carwash code. Not a huge deal, but still a little hassle when it's very busy and the line is long. There is a good reason Arco gas is cheap, or amoung the cheapest. First, like Costco, and Safeway, they sell on volume. This explains why this is one of the busiest and highest traffic gas stations in the area. Second, Arco gasoline contains up to 10% ethanol blend. This doesn't necessarily mean it's inferior, but just a slightly different formulation. Your car/engine is designed to burn a combination of ethanol and gasoline without any adverse effects. Arco and Costco both advertise a maximum of 10 percent ethanol across all octanes. They do not have any additives that they advertise. In other words, it's straight up "gas" without the "fluff" like Chevrons "Techron", or Shells "V-power", Those "expensive" stations want you to believe you are getting "better" gas when in fact it makes little, if any difference. The "difference" with ARCO, of course is price. Often as much as 20 (or more) cents cheaper per gallon. That can make a bit of a difference depending on what type of vehicle you drive, and how much you drive. For most of us that that only use 87 octane, regular unleaded its just as good as the "Chevrons" & "Shells". I've done the math using Arco compared to others and saw barely any difference in MPG. This is not a plug for Arco, but once I started doing my own research after being brainwashed into thinking Chevron & Shell were superior, I don't pump anything else.

OK, I have finally had it. I start work at 6 AM in Morgan Hill. The closest gas station is Arco…read more You don't know how many times I've gone to this Arco in the morning and I cannot put gas. Either somethings wrong with their , the pump or like this morning, it said " site pump inactive" at the physical pump. The employee is there have never gave me a problem and their customer service is always really great. It just sucks that a company this large always has problems and puts these employees in positions like this. They shouldn't have to explain all the time why they can't sell gas. Arco on Monterey get it together. I will no longer come to this Arco even though it is so conveniently close to me. I'll pay the extra money at 7-Eleven down the street.

I went inside to the store and showed employee Armando my bank app amount and the actual receipt. All I wanted was the correct amount on the Chevron end to reflect on my bank app and refund the difference. Mr. Armando refused to provide the proper customer service I received profanity statements 3 different times. Armando quote"You need to shut the fuck up twice" the next was "shut fuck up " I said so now your cussing at me , Armando replied" Im not scared and I dont care I already have another job lined up" Armando refused to do the refund the difference and that I have to call my bank and come back tomorrow. I requested to speak to a manager in the mean time he refused to do so and set me aside to help the other 2 customers behind me making me wait even longer. Finally Armando called the Manager I asked to put the Manager on his speaker phone so I could speak directly to her. Armando refused to to do that. Then I requested the first and last name of the Manger and phone number in writing and he verbally gave it to me I then requested a 2nd time . After a 3rd customer Armando decided to help ignoring my situation he finally wrote it down. I even helped a customer on the lottery scratchers the he had to take it to Sacramento to get his winnings of $1,400 that the cashier couldnt give anything over a certain amount. If it wasnt for profanity used torwards me and just correct the mistake I would have been a satissfied customer. Since Mr. Armando already has another job lined up that the manager of extramile store should immediately fire him and look in the pump#11#12 situation by having weights and measure s recertfy these pumps so no other customer has to through what I experienced tonight. After arrivng home checking my bank app that the proper charge was corrected and the difference put back into my account. Mr. Armandos behavior and profanity aboslutely unacceptable does not excuse his accountabilty. Signed Concerned Customer

This is the Shell gas station on East Dunne, near Hwy 101 in Morgan Hill, CA. It has a large set…read moreof fuel islands, a carwash, and a small "foodmart." It has a great location near the freeway, and at the entrance to a shopping center. My job finished up in Morgan Hill on a Tuesday night, so I stopped here to get gas and some snacks. First impression, the place looked run down. Also, the foodmart isn't really a foodmart, it's just a quickie convenience store (c-Store). It has coffee, drinks, beverage coolers, candy, lotto, and cigs. The merchandising displays are a little weird, the potato chips are on a back endcap facing the coolers. If you really need groceries, there's a Safeway across the parking lot. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. I asked about the carwash code, and decided to tryout the $13 carwash. Geez, pretty fast carwash for $13. Yes, it's soapy, uses alot of mechanical brushes, and drying blowers. When I first exited the carwash I noticed alot of tiny black specks on my vehicle. Maybe from recycled wash water? Anyway, these specks were gone when I got home after the 60 mile drive on the freeway. How was the wash? Carwash, Grade (2/5): Pretty quick wash and dry for $13. Misses alot of lower areas and wheels. Yeah, it's shiny and clean. Foodmart, Grade (1/5): This isn't a foodmart, it's a gas station C-store. Probably super busy in the morning with all the coffee air pots they had on the counter. Overall, not very roomy around the racks and displays. Service, Grade (3/5): Friendly and prompt service, with Covid-19 safeguards in place. I didn't ask to use the restroom. Overall, a fair place to stop if you just need gas and snacks. Skip the carwash, unless your vehicle is really dirty. There's a Safeway and a CVS nearby if you need groceries or HABA (health and beauty items). People will stop here because they trust the Shell brand, or ( like me) carry the Shell fuel card. ------------------------------------------------ Drive safely
