Tuesday July 30th at at about 2:20 p.m. I just left the ampm Market on Monterey and Cochran in Morgan hill. They had just started having a delivery . When I went to go get some kind of Slurpee or coffee the cups were empty the macchiato was completely gone there a chocolate was going to leave gone the whipped cream was completely gone . For the market supplies to be so low they must have not filled them that morning and kept them up . When I asked them about it they said they can't do it now because they're having a delivery . But everything was in such disarray and empty you couldn't even have a nice coffee from iced coffee machine. This tells me that they weren't feeling it up and keeping items full that whole morning. There was three people working there standing around and one was riding on a receipt. read more

Where to start... I've been to this gas station many times for an energy drink or some cheap gas(they are usually the cheapest on the street and one of the cheapest in town) and if you are going to get in and out, I wouldn't say it's a guaranteed terrible experience. Though as others have said always get a receipt if you are paying cash. If you are going into the actual convenience store, well that's a different story. Let me preface by saying that I have worked in customer service for many years and I think it's VERY important to understand/empathize with dealing with the public. It can be a real sh*tshow sometimes and escalating conflict with someone in the industry almost always is a reflection of the customer, not the employee(although I am biased). As I was looking at the reviews a lot of the points resonated with me and I've had a few really negative experiences there so I thought I would add my $0.02. The staff is usually pretty helpful but the manager is always on their phone, doesn't even give a standard "Thank you" or "Have a nice day" or instead a very passive aggressive one when I try to initiate, and in general seems like a bitter and spiteful individual. Im not going to read too far into this but I can say that it's been going downhill since the pandemic began. I know I'm not owed anything, but I always try and be super polite, and when that is met with not even indifference or exhaustion but instead nasty looks and contempt, it really gets under my skin. As others have said there is a clique of employees who are friends/family/favorites of management, so this does not apply to every employee, especially the kids working for minimum wage over summer. I'll end with an anecdote: my partner is Hispanic but she presents as very ambiguous and when we go out together, many assume she is white/mixed because of her fair skin, the fact that we talk almost exclusively in English, and though she is a fluent Spanish speaker, she was born in the states and English was her first language. We used to go to the AM PM more until 7-11 opened, and I noticed that with some of the non-native English speakers (Again I want to reiterate that these are the ones who are friendly with their boss and not any new hires) were short with me and people of other ethnicities, including my partner. The dynamic changed when one day a man in front of us in line was struggling to articulate what he wanted in English and she stepped up to help because even though there were fluent Spanish speakers present, they were scrolling social media as the line started backing up. Since then, she has said she gets treated way more respectfully when she comes in, while whenever I come in and show humility I get the eye daggers and can't even get simple questions answered. I'm not gonna jump to any conclusions, but I'm fluent enough in Spanish (and I know all the curse words) to know when these women are talking shit about me for no reason right in front of my face. Seriously, just go to 7-11 unless you are running on fumes, the manager is super polite and all the men and women who work there are awesome. Since they opened up, anytime I'm trying to get my 1k steps in I always will go there even if it's slightly more expensive, simply because the atmosphere in the AMPM on a bad day is downright hostile. This is my first review so I apologize for any rambling but after my latest experience here I said "Never again" and vowed to write a review. 2 stars is only because A. gas is cheap B. It's super clean inside the store. TL;DR: Manager and her cronies can be really nasty, the line frequently backs up from understaffing and inattentive senior employees, and they don't even sell beer past 10 PM(more like 9:45). You are better off just going to 7-11 because of the amazing people there, even if it can be a tad more expensive. Cheers! read more

The only convenient thing about this place is it's location. Just wasted 20 min trying to get a car wash. Came in from the south entrance where there is NO SIGN stating cash only. I'm fact, the only sign is for north entry and it says pre-purchase only. When I finally parked, purchased inside and reentered the car wash line, I ended up behind another car with the same issue. Then we both had to back out of the line so they could get out of my way. A simple sign on the entry and a sign in the pay machine stating cash only is all it would take to turn this into a four star review. Good luck to anyone who doesn't already know the secret system around here. I hate this place. read more

Great customer service. i've been coming here for a few years. They always keep it clean and well-stocked.

Last Saturday night at approximately 7pm I asked politely three times for the air machine to be turned on. There was one male worker bee, and three females, all hispanic. I am an older white female. The male, with no name tag on, flipped me off in my face with both fingers inches away from my eyes and called me a bitch. Told me to leave and called me multiple bad names. For a simple request of air for my car tire? WOW!!! And keep in mind It was HOT outside. I have three autoimmune disorders and am not supposed to be stressed , much less in the sun. MHPD said they didn't have to turn on the machine, although it is a state law. WTF is happening in our town? I have lived here for 37 years, and it just keeps getting worse and worse and worse! So disappointing and disgusting the way hard working ppl are being treated. I have spent thousands of dollars at this establishment. 7-11 gets all my money now. I am contacting the owner next. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone on me or I would have filmed his ungodly behavior. read more

Stopped by to use their restroom in an urgent situation. Sign on door said see cashier to unlock. Went to register, one worker was busy with someone so I asked the other who was walking away. She said to to ask the other girl, she was on break. Finally got to the other girl who said the restrooms were closed. Not cool. Sign on door should have said restroom was closed & other girl should have just said that they were closed instead of telling me to wait until the other lady was free. Very poor way to treat a customer. I won't be buying gas there again. read more

Denis Solis, Thank you for the horrible customer service. You have own job which is customer service and you failed tremendously at that. If a customer asks for a manager or shift lead you should be able to have one come and attend the issue. Another one of your co workers said to me "Denis is playing you" therefor it makes me think you were fully able to fix the issue that occurred. I stopped in to buy a cup of coffee while waiting for my son. When I went to pay for my coffee, the cashier informed me they don't take credit only cash or debt. Then the machine proceed to apply a charge of $.35 for the $1.79 cup of coffee. That is robbery. Owners don't get charged that much per transaction by the credit card companies. It's a percentage of the transaction roughly 4%. Owners do the blk of their business with cards. To charge us crazy prices is morally wrong. I personally will not shop here again and hope others will not either. It's time we say enough is enough on price gouging. Let ur conscience lead you. But personally I'm tired of the financial rape. read more

Clean, 24 hours, well stocked, good gas prices and good location. I would have given this place 5 stars but system down had to pay cash, and the clerk was very bland bordering on unfriendly. But gas, snacks and location get it 3 stars. read more

Extremely clean and well stocked, the staff try very hard to make it so. Most people don't realize how difficult it can be to run a good clean gas station in California. Between loitering, homeless, countless people stealing, and just the general hostile nature of some people in the bay area, I believe this place holds it together quite well considering the volume of people they get in. read more
