Went after a long day of work to fill up my car. Should have not turned off of Westheimer onto Dairy Ashford and just gone to the Chevron I usually go to, but, I go to this one too periodically so didn't think anything of it. It's dark and cold so I scanned my card and entered the zip code and got the gas going. Then got back in my car and locked the door. A cab driver was shot here years ago, so not risking it. Noticed the gas turned off, heard it click, but it couldn't be full. So I got out, started it again, got in the car, locked the door, heard the click again. Got out again in my dress and heels in the cold and held it to pump the gas. I was so confused and wondered if something was wrong with my gas gauge and didn't want to overfill and for gas to spray on me. So I stopped and put it up. Cranked car. Sure enough, only 3/4 of a tank. Got BACK out, tried card. It said "see cashier". I go in, mind you even wearing my work I.D. with photo and name around my neck and tell him there must be something wrong with the pump, it kept turning off. He's wanting to know how much more gas I want, I said I don't know, I wanted to fill my car. Then he stammers out, "I prefer you use another card." So basically, to me, he is calling me a thief. With a CHEVRON credit card with my name on it, in good standing, paid up and matching last names and matching my driver's license (if he'd cared to check). So I could have used another card, but they're not getting a dime of my money again. Went to my regular Chevron to fill up, my transaction was cancelled so I think the jerk put a flag or something on my card. My mother is calling them now to get that fixed. He must have just felt like being a major jerk tonight. Thanks for the inconvenience. You're welcome for the honest review and never anymore money from my pocket. Too bad I had to give even one star. Also to be noted, neither time that the gas stopped did the handle click out of the pumping mode, it was as if it was still pumping. So it leads me to believe that he was turning that pump off himself inside. My mother worked at a Chevron station for 30 years and she agrees. This seems very skeezy. Chevron card services fixed whatever he did and were full of apologies. read more
