I was willing to pay for add ons like queso and the new cilantro lime sauce. The food is great and I always cater from Chipotle for work or order online delivery, so it makes me sad to be treated this way in person. I ordered chicken to go into my burrito bowl and was told bluntly that it was "the last of it." What this worker insisted on giving me was the last dry/overcooked pieces of chicken, and not even a full scoop. It prompted me to switched my choice of protein, and I could visibly tell this irritated the young man. Another worker completed making my order and as I'm heading toward the cashier, I witnessed someone else bringing out freshly cooked chicken. A simple statement such as, "More will be out shortly," would have demonstrated basic courtesy and transparency. Instead, the interaction felt careless and misleading. The only partially redeeming moment was when the female employee at least offered a smile and said "You're welcome," showing the bare minimum of customer service. Without that, I might have requested a chat with a supervisor. This falls FAR BELOW Chipotle's expected standards and should be examined before it ruins other customer experiences. Two times is never a good sign.
